In this short YouTube clip, Warriors forward Draymond Green confronts former Celtics star Paul Pierce about Pierce's viral "farewell tour" trash‑talk aimed at Green. Green explains that he hadn't heard Pierce's comments during the game because the on‑court microphones under the basket pick up ambient noise, making remarks sound louder than they are. He also describes the physical nature of guarding Blake Griffin, emphasizing the intensity of the matchup and his desire to make a statement for the team. Green clarifies that his reaction was driven by the perceived disrespect and the need to protect his reputation as a defensive leader.

I gotta address your viral shit talking first off. 'Cause you just said your side of it and I ain't had a chance to say my side of it yet.
Chasing that farewell tour. They don't love you like that, bitch. Draymond Green. They ain't give you no farewell tour. Draymond Green.
We going to the game and I'm just seeing how you guarding Blake and I'm like, damn, he be a hella physical and he pushing on him. I'm like, you know, what the fuck going on, man? Hold on, Blake, bust his ass, man. Hell no, you can't let him do that because "Everybody know you the head of the snake. And if you go at the head of the snake, you got a shot. And I'm woofing at you like, 'No, fuck that, man. Fuck him. I'm shooting. I want everybody to know this is what we on this year.' You know, damn, come on. This is the class of the league right now. You said what you said, right?" And everybody, the camera on me. So when I— and to be honest, I didn't hear what you said. People don't know this, but the microphone underneath the basket pick up everything. It make it look like you shot something to me. But honestly, I didn't even hear what you said until after the game.
