In this brief commentary, Draymond Green argues that Mikal Bridges should be a central figure in the Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) conversation and is likely the deserving winner. Green highlights Bridges' defensive versatility, noting his ability to guard both on‑ball and off‑ball opponents, weak‑side shot‑blocking, anticipation of passing lanes, and consistent help defense. He emphasizes that Bridges excels without compromising team defense, contrasting him with other defenders who may sacrifice team concepts for individual accolades.
