In this YouTube short, Draymond Green shares his perspective on the NBA GOAT conversation. He asserts that Kevin Durant (KD) is one of the greatest scorers ever and defends the legitimacy of KD’s two championships, rejecting any notion that they are “not real.” Green then shifts to Steph Curry, noting that Curry didn’t receive full GOAT credit until the 2022 championship when he also earned Finals MVP, implying that such achievements are necessary for GOAT consideration. He acknowledges that teams aren’t always ideal but emphasizes personal responsibility and readiness to step up when needed. Throughout, Green expresses unwavering love and respect for KD, referencing his own two championships alongside Durant, and stresses that his views are personal and rooted in respect rather than hate.

As far as my GOAT conversation though, I think KD is one of the greatest scorers we've ever seen. Obviously I'm not one that's gonna be like, KD's championships aren't real. Like, stop it. Like, there's no championship that's not real. However, Steph didn't get the credit that Steph gets today until 2022 when he led this team to a championship and won the Finals MVP. You gotta go do what Steph did. To get to that conversation, in my opinion. Maybe the team ain't as ideal as you want it to be. You know, everything ain't perfect, but guess what? When it's time, I'm gonna say, "Hey, come get on my back, let's go here." I got nothing but love and respect for KD. Won 2 championships with KD. It's never no hate, in all love. But for me, I can only speak for me, you gotta go do that thing. Draymond Green.
