Draymond Green says the Knicks aren't contenders because their offense can be shut down and key players won't defend. He sees defensive effort as the fundamental problem for a championship team.

I think for me personally, the Knicks, I just don't believe that they're contenders. I don't think they have what it takes to win at the highest level. I think you can stifle their offense and make it hard on them. Anytime you have a couple guys on the floor at the same time that's really key guys and don't really wanna defend, it makes it tough to win at the highest level. And so that's kind of my question with the Knicks.
