In this YouTube reaction segment, Warriors forward Draymond Green expresses frustration about the team repeatedly landing in the NBA play‑in tournament for three consecutive seasons, calling the Warriors a "play‑in magnet." He relays Coach Steve Kerr’s message that the team must accept the play‑in and focus on building good habits rather than obsessing over avoiding it. Green uses a race‑car/ice‑driving metaphor, explaining that when a car (or a driver on icy Michigan roads) is spinning, looking at the wall causes you to crash, whereas looking away toward your intended direction helps you recover. He likens the Warriors’ tendency to focus on the play‑in (the wall) to spinning into it, emphasizing a need to shift mindset.

The Warriors are bound for the play-in, which ultimately makes 3 years in a row. I'm sick of the play-in. It seems like we're a play-in magnet. And that is the reality for us. We are not moving out of the play-in. And that's what Coach Kerr's message has been to the team. Like, guys, we're in the play-in no matter what. We have to continue building great habits. And so that's gotta be the focus. But I feel like every year we coming in saying that we wanna stay away from the play-in. And I feel like the play-in attracts us. If you ever go to a race car track, the one thing they tell you is like when the car is spinning, and I think it's actually the thought, if you're in the state of Michigan and you're on ice, when you're spinning, don't look at the wall. Look away from the wall to where you're trying to go, as opposed to looking at the wall, you're more likely to spin into the wall. And what everybody does is you panic and you look at the wall. That's how this play-in feel for us. And it's like, we're just looking at the wall, spinning into the wall.
