In this short spoken commentary, Draymond Green explains why he believes Kevin Durant's decision to leave the Golden State Warriors was a mistake. Green emphasizes that basketball is the single most important thing in Durant's life, more than anything else. He argues that while Durant was with the Warriors, the environment allowed him to simply focus on playing the game he loves, without external distractions. Green clarifies that his criticism is not about Durant joining Kyrie Irving or any other player, but rather about Durant leaving a situation that best aligned with his primary passion for basketball.

When he decided that he was going to leave, I thought it was a mistake. I thought it was a mistake because I know Kevin, and what Kevin likes to do in his life, the number one thing in Kevin's life, and that's not the case for most people, basketball is 100% the most important thing in Kevin's life. It is the thing that he cares about himself. More than anything in the world. And when Kevin was here, the reason I thought Kevin was making a mistake, because I felt like when Kevin was here, what he was allowed to do was to simply just go play basketball. Right. Which is what Kevin loves to do. And so it wasn't that he was going to play with Kyrie. It wasn't that, you know, everyone's like, "Oh, Kyrie isn't there." It wasn't any of that.
