In a brief segment of The Draymond Green Show, host Draymond Green is asked to identify the most exciting young player in the NBA. He unequivocally selects Anthony Edwards, highlighting Edwards' scoring prowess (multiple 40‑point games), elite athleticism, and ability to produce "dunk of the year" highlights. Green notes that defenders often retreat when Edwards is about to take off, underscoring his intimidating presence. He emphasizes Edwards' star potential, especially as a second‑year player still developing his full repertoire. The conversation also touches on Edwards' charismatic press conferences, adding to his overall appeal.

Who is the most exciting young player in the league? You don't have to pick one. I'll let you pick like a couple, but just—
Oh, Anthony Edwards. That's, that, I mean, that goes without question. The most exciting young player in the league, Anthony Edwards. I mean, come on. He, the guy can get you 40, as we know. He's done that multiple times. The guy can put anybody in the rim, as we know. I mean, I, part of the reason you don't see Anthony Edwards dunk on more people is because people move when they see him about to take off now at this point. Like you don't want to be on the wrong end of that. So, Anthony Edwards for sure. I think he has star potential. I actually thought this pre-him getting drafted. He has star potential. He's extremely athletic and exciting and fun to watch because at any point you can get dunk of the year, highlight of the year. He can fill it up with the best of them. I mean, he's, you know, in his second year, so he's still getting to that point of like doing that whenever he wants to, but Anthony Edwards for sure the most exciting young player in the league in my opinion.
I like that. I like that. And also just unbelievable press conferences every time.
It's funny, I was telling him the other day, he, I literally DM'd with him yesterday. I said, you are the funniest interview in the league. He's so funny. Gotta have you on the podcast. He like, anytime, just let me know anytime. So I'm telling y'all, we will definitely have Ant-Man on the pod. I think it'll be a funny— If you can't watch Anthony Edwards interviews and get a good laugh, I mean, it is the most, it's like, it's raw. Like it's his true— Yeah. It's him just being his true self, which I think is beautiful. You get so, see so many people get in interviews and change their voice or change, you know, don't really speak how they speak. Like, man, Anthony Edwards, one of the best interviews in the NBA. I absolutely love watching his interviews. So definitely we'll have him on as a, as a guest of the pod, but for now, definitely my most exciting young player in the league.
