In this YouTube short, Warriors forward Draymond Green reacts to news that Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis (AD) is expected to play despite a recent head injury. Green expresses relief that Davis will be available, but strongly condemns people who make jokes about head injuries, emphasizing that even a minor hit to the head can have life‑changing consequences. He expands the discussion to a broader view of athletic risk, noting that every sport—basketball, football, hockey, soccer—carries the danger that a single injury can alter a career or life. Green cites Neymar’s near‑paralyzing back injury from a previous World Cup as an example of how serious injuries can be, reinforcing his point that laughing at head trauma is unacceptable.

We all heard the news about AD. Also just recently heard that, you know, he's expected to play tomorrow, which I'm happy about. You never wanna play against a team not at their best. And also just don't play with those head injuries, man. They're serious. I saw a lot of people laughing and talk like, but it's a hit to the head. And like one small hit to the head can change everything in your life. So I don't really understand the joke. Every time you step out on the basketball court, the football field, on the ice, on the pitch, you're risking your life because one injury can change everything. Not this. This past World Cup, but the World Cup before, Neymar have an injury to his back that almost paralyzed him. That was a couple centimeters away from paralyzing him. And so I don't quite understand the laughing, why it's so funny. The smallest hit to the wrong part of the head can change your life.
