In this YouTube Short, Draymond Green lists his personal ranking of the greatest defensive players in NBA history. He mentions Bill Russell, Gary Payton, Tony Allen, Ben Wallace, and Scottie Pippen before ultimately selecting Dennis Rodman as his top choice. Green provides brief justifications: Russell’s legendary status, Payton’s reputation as “The Glove,” Allen’s perimeter lockdown, Wallace’s shot‑blocking in an era dominated by post play (including guarding Shaquille O'Neal, David Robinson, and Tim Duncan), and Rodman's unparalleled ability to guard any position. He also notes a personal grievance with Scottie Pippen, which influences his decision.

I can't say Bill Russell just to say it because I know Bill Russell was a great defender because I didn't see enough. In saying that, Gary Payton, Tony Allen, Ben Wallace. And as much as Ben Wallace was a shot blocker, Ben Wallace played during a time period where they was dumping the ball into the post. Yeah. And I watched Ben Wallace guard Shaq. I watched Ben Wallace guard David Robinson. I watched Ben Wallace guard Tim Duncan. Yours truly, I wanna go with Scottie, but Scottie been pissing me off with all this stuff he's been doing lately. I have to go with Dennis Rodman. And the reason I have to go with Dennis Rodman is because Dennis Rodman can guard anyone. Dennis Rodman matchup could be anyone, and I think that was incredible.
