In a brief YouTube short, Draymond Green and former Pistons star Isiah Thomas exchange views on several NBA topics. Green dismisses the notion that Kevin Durant doesn’t deserve his two championship rings and Finals MVPs, calling the argument "dumb". Thomas counters by highlighting a supposed "phantom foul" that prevented the Detroit Pistons from achieving a three‑peat, asserting that the Pistons should have been the first team to win three consecutive titles. He also praises Steve Kerr, crediting the Warriors' coach for his brilliant mind, trust‑building, and the style of play that led to success, emphasizing that coaching truly matters. Green agrees, acknowledging Kerr’s greatness. The dialogue blends personal opinions, historical speculation, and commendation of coaching influence.

I am not one of those people who's on the bandwagon of like, Kevin doesn't deserve them rings. Like, you don't win 2 Finals MVPs if you don't deserve rings. That's just kind of a dumb thing to say.
Yeah, so I'm gonna hit you with this, right? Because they always talk about the Lakers when they three-peated, but they never mentioned they got that Phantom Foul. So that, that, that, gentlemen. So the Detroit Pistons and Isiah Thomas, we should have been the first one to three-peat. The other thing I do wanna give Steve Kerr some credit, you know, because the brilliant mind and the way he molded and got all of you to trust and believe that this was a great way to play, you know. So all the things that you said, I do wanna add Steve Kerr on top of that because, coaching really does matter. And he was the perfect coach for all of you. 100%.
Steve was great.
