In this YouTube short, the speaker (Jalen Rose) answers the question of who his NBA MVP pick is for the season. He argues passionately that Nikola "the Joker" Jokic of the Denver Nuggets deserves the award. Rose highlights Jokic’s historic statistical output—averaging near a triple‑double as a center, posting 25 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists per game, shooting over 60% from the field and around 40% from three‑point range—while also noting Denver’s No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. He contextualizes the MVP discussion by referencing past three‑peat winners Bill Russell and Larry Bird, suggesting that MVP voting can become a narrative‑driven award focused on perception and storyline. Ultimately, Rose concludes that Jokic’s combination of elite numbers and team success makes him the clear MVP choice.

Who is your MVP when it's all said and done this year? You can't ignore what the Joker's doing. Incredible, man. Bill Russell and Larry Bird are the only people to win the MVP 3 times in a row. And so what ends up happening is it becomes an award about storyline. It becomes an award about perception of doing the most with the least and/or having a historic year to go with your numbers. And so after he's won it twice, it's like, "All right, we should be trying to give it to somebody else." Right now Denver's number 1 in the West. Historic stats. This dude about to average a triple-double. As a center. Playing a center. Jesus Christ. That's a center. That's just mind-blowing. It has to be the Joker. He getting 25, 12, and 10 assists on a nightly basis, shooting 60% and like 30-some, 40% from 3. Like, and they got the number 1 seed. It's a lot of ball to be played, but right now I would have to say him.
