In a YouTube short, Draymond Green addresses Joel Embiid's decision to sit out back-to-back games, arguing that Embiid should maximize his playing time to chase individual accolades like MVP rather than conservatively preserving himself for a championship that may never materialize. Green references Charles "Chuck" Barkley's displeasure, quoting Barkley's "We ain't steel workers" comment, and emphasizes Embiid's proven ability to dominate the league. A second speaker adds perspective on playoff intensity, noting that back-to-back games can quickly wear down a player's body, suggesting a slippery slope if rest strategies continue. The clip blends persuasive criticism, player advocacy, and concerns about playoff fatigue.

our boy Joel Embiid is sitting out back to back. Chuck is upset. Chuck said, "We ain't steel workers." Here's what I would say to Joel. I think you should play as many games as you can play. And I think you should average as many points as you can average. And I think you should chase as many individual awards as you can chase. Because the talk of winning a championship, you may never win one. And I'm not saying he can't win one, but what I'm saying is you may never win one. And then you shorted yourself on the thing that what we know for sure you can do, which is go get an MVP, cook everybody in the league. Like, we know you can do that. To sit out saying, "I'm trying to maximize everything so I can get the championship at the end," but you gotta know how to win a championship, and he don't because he hasn't done it.
What happens in the playoffs and your body feel like, "Damn, dude, I feel like we just played a back-to-back. The games are coming faster with playoff intensity. Joel, you already checking out." It's a slippery slope, man.
