On today's show, I have to be real about where my dubs are sitting. We'll also talk about Bron's debut. First player to play in 23 seasons in the NBA. We'll talk about that. Talk about some other surgeon teams. And we must talk a little bit about Michael Porter Jr. and his podcast and what the Nets have said to him. So we'll get into those things on today's show. Tough back-to-back in Florida. You know, lost the game in Orlando that we obviously really went for. And then last night, obviously lost in Miami with myself, Jimmy, Steph, and Al out last night in Miami. I think, you know, you go 4-2 on that road trip, you feeling really good about yourself. And obviously you go 5-1, you're feeling great about it. Nonetheless, we're 3-3. And through 17 games, we have played 12 road games over the course of 29 days, 17 games in 13 different cities. All of those things are true and all of those things fucking suck. But the best part about it is it's behind us. The schedule will start to light up for us a little bit. We are 5 back-to-backs in, in week 5 of the season. We've pretty much had a back-to-back every week of the season. So, you know, you knew coming out, you know, as soon as we saw the schedule that it was gonna be shitty. You know, the first month of the schedule for us has not been very favorable at all. You know, now we'll start to get some home games, you know, hopefully, you know, start to balance it out a bit. But coming out 9-8 with that schedule, I think most people would be like, You know, we're above .500, that's good. I just think, you know, realistically we should probably be sitting here at 12-5, 11-6, you know, just a couple games we let get away from us. Milwaukee, Indiana, the Orlando game, we didn't quite, you know, I think we played okay, we just didn't quite, especially defensively, do what we needed to do. Mm-hmm. To really create separation. But nonetheless, I feel okay about where we are. Not great, not awful. You know, we're now, you know, about to start, you know, racking up some home games here. You definitely want to see that record flip, take a jump in the— Yeah. Wins category. You know, we got Portland tomorrow night. That first game back off a long road trip is always tough. Nonetheless, you know, it's an NBA Cup game. So obviously means a little more than just your typical regular season game. But you know, Portland took care of us in Portland on the first back-to-back that we had in starting the season off. And so, you know, you obviously wanna get your get back. It's a division game for us, NBA Cup game, all of those things. So— Yeah. You know, and then, you know, we've lost 2 in a row. Coming back home, you wanna right the ship a bit. And so I think, you know, it's an important game for us tomorrow night. And getting back here today, we got back at 3:30 in the morning last night, but getting back here and having that chance to recover at home, kind of get back in your flow of being back at home, I think will be good for us. You know, we'll have a shootaround tomorrow, which will be good, kind of, you know, run off the rust a little bit. Or not necessarily rust, but just long flight. And like I said, just that adjustment to being back home after 10 days on the road, I think, be big for us. So currently sitting at 9th and 8th, 8th place in the West. I don't really too often look at standings, you know, at this point during the season, 'cause they don't mean that much. But in saying that, I do expect us to jump in the standings over the next month because I think our schedule is a little more favorable than it was the previous month. So looking forward to that. It's been interesting on this road trip watching Steph Curry walk in with the Shaqnosis and the Penny 2s and the Way Aways from 2015 playoffs. What other shoe has he worn? He's worn the Mamba Zeta Kobes. Free Agent 30 is on the market. And you know what I'm looking forward to? You know, I wanna see Jordan Brand make the blue and gold 13s, you know, or, you know, the blue and gold 11s. Let's get Steph some white and gold 11s with the gold patent leather. Like, it makes me think back to when Kobe was a sneaker free agent and he had the purple and gold 7s, you know, and the different white, purple, and gold 7s and different things. And so I am really looking forward to seeing if like, If this is about to get crazy, like it was then, like are all the companies about to start making Steph his own PEs and have Steph, I like, come on, brand Jordan, we need that. It's been interesting not seeing 30 Curry in the UAs, in the Currys. It's been very interesting to see after— 30. 11 years, something of that nature. 12 years, 11 years, maybe 11. And then to see him in these different shoes has been like a fish out of water. But I think, you know, very interesting, um, and, and, and what's taking place there, you know. So it's just a little bit behind the deal. Uh, Steph will take Curry brand with him. His Splash logo, which is the 3, you know, looks kind of like the SC with the 3, they call it the Splash logo. I think Under Armour can promote it and produce it until June, and then they no longer can promote it. And I think they can sell the next run of sneakers, but then that's it, and the brand moves on with Steph. Yeah. And so like I said before, I think he has a very interesting opportunity to, and a blank canvas to pretty much build what he wants. And I think the possibilities are endless in what he will be able to build. So I'm looking forward to just seeing how that's gonna play out. You know, I'm sure his meetings will start to pick up and I don't expect this to be something that's gonna take a very long time. Like Steph is pretty dialed in very calculated in what he wants to do. But I think, you know, this can be very big. You ask yourself the question with Kate Cunningham getting the sig, announcing that he's getting a signature shoe this week. Like where does that leave Steph, if any possibility of going back with Nike? I know it's Steph Curry and that's kind of a different bucket to play in and a whole different conversation. But interesting stuff in the sneaker space. Yeah. So can't wait to see how it all goes down. And yeah, so that's interesting. Before we go to break, I must speak on Michael Porter Jr. I haven't said much all year about it, but Michael Porter Jr. had the craziest run of podcasting this summer of anyone I've seen in the podcasting space in a long time, if any time. Mm-hmm. He did everything from, talking about his old team to bringing a couple guys' baby mamas on his platform. Yeah, it was a very interesting— Talked about his dating and how he made the girl pay the rent. Like, it was a very interesting space to see Michael Porter Jr. in. I had no idea that that was the guy behind the basketball jersey, but it's good to see his personality. Unfortunately for Michael Porter Jr., I think the Nets have kind of put a chill to some of the things that he could say. It seems like once he left Denver, it was like a free-for-all, like, "Oh, I can say whatever the hell I want to say right now." And apparently the Nets weren't quite liking that, and they asked him to chill out. And MPJ said, "All right, I'm chilling. I'm not going to talk about certain things." Listen, I think if anything— Yeah. MPJ, you probably created yourself a lane when you done. Raunchy sex television. Michael Porter Jr. gonna run the field. So I'll be looking forward to hearing what else he has to say. But I did not think it would take this long for the Nets to say stop, but they apparently have said stop now. So we'll see where Michael Porter Jr. goes from there. But nonetheless, It's very fucking entertaining. Coming up next after the break, we'll talk LeBron, the number 1 seed Detroit Pistons, KD and his Rockets, and much more. Back after this. Hey, Draymond here. The NBA on Prime is back tonight with another great Emirates NBA Cup doubleheader. The night starts with Pascal Siakam and the Indiana Pacers meeting Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Then it's down to Texas as Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets get their first look at Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets. And if you're not a Prime member, that's not a problem. Sign up for a 30-day free trial to get started today. The Pacers and Cavs, the Nuggets and Rockets, man, we got some hoops tonight. Siakam and D-Mitch, that's gonna be a battle. Siakam and D-Mitch both play with that edge, so you know that's gonna be fun. And down in Houston, Jokic and KD going at it, that's superstar basketball right there. You don't wanna miss it. Coverage starts tonight at 6:30 PM Eastern, only on Prime. Restrictions apply. See amazon.com/amazonprime for details. And around the association we go. LeBron's debut season 23. First player ever in the history to play 23 seasons. I mean, what incredible longevity. You know, like even the guys that have played, they're not to the, that 22 years, 21 years, they just didn't play the brand of basketball LeBron James played. You know, to be that athletic, that powerful over the course of his career and still playing and pretty damn good athlete still and super powerful. It's just a testament to his hard work. I think he's, He's rewritten the book of longevity and what it means, what longevity means in the NBA. You know, along all the other great things that he's done in this league. Like he's extended what's looked at as a prime of an NBA career, you know, to the point to where Steph Curry at 37, turning 38 this year, people are still saying like, yo, he's still in his prime. You know, we have, we hadn't quite seen that up until Bron. You know, and now Steph right on the tail, right on his tail doing the same thing. But man, you're 23 and still playing at this level, still having the ability to start. And you know, I think one interesting thing that comes of Bron missing the first 14 games of the season is he can only miss 3 more games and still make the All-NBA team. And Bron has made an All-NBA team each of the last 21 seasons. And so you're talking one of the most incredible streaks in NBA history that's kind of in flux right now, kind of can be broken and more than likely will be broken. Cause I can't imagine the Lakers are going to play LeBron in all the back-to-backs. And so just with, with, with only 3 games allowed, left to miss. Like, it seems as if we're going to see the end of one of the greatest streaks in NBA history, uh, approaching this year. Now, if Bron say, fuck that, I'm going to get my All-NBA team and play— quick math, quick math, quick math— he has out of— they've played 15 games, meaning they have 67 left. So he need to play 63 of the next 66 games. If he goes and does that, I think that would be insane. Um, but it would also be a testament to who he is. Uh, I wouldn't be shocked if he actually went for it. I, it wouldn't shock me at all. I don't quite see them going for it, but it would not shock me. Uh, but he comes back in an interesting space where Lucas Dontrez is playing incredible basketball, MVP caliber level basketball. Sarriese is playing all-star level basketball. And the resurgence of DeAndre Ayton, who's playing really good basketball. And now you got Bron coming in. I found it very funny that a lot of people say, "Oh man, what role will he play?" As if Bron has ever struggled to play with anybody. Like I don't, outside of like complete losers, I don't think LeBron James has ever struggled to play with anyone. And just to hear all the talking heads say, "Oh man, what role is he gonna play? He not gonna be—" Like, I've just never seen it be an issue. And quite frankly, I don't think it's gonna be an issue now. He can kind of fit in wherever he needs to, wherever he wants. But more importantly, I just wanna say congratulations on year 23, man. Absolutely incredible. Giving everybody something to strive for. And I'll be honest, I don't strive to play 23 years, but I do strive to play a few good more. And when you look at what he's doing, you look at what Steph doing, they've laid the blueprint and all you got to do is follow it. You ain't gotta read KD as well. You ain't gotta, you know, and the longevity that K's had, you don't have to reinvent the wheel. You just have to follow it. They got the blueprint, they've laid the blueprint, they've laid the foundation. I look at some of the things they do and try to add it to my repertoire. So that I can play, I continue to play at a high level. So respect to those guys, respect to LJ on year 23. Much love, healthy, wishing him a healthy season and looking forward to some of those Laker games as they're always extremely fun when we get the opportunity to match up. Anytime Bron is on the floor, it just take you back to those moments. So looking forward to that. Pistons have the best record in the East. They are currently on an 11-game win streak. And I think the question that begs is if the Pistons end up a top 2 seed, can they come out of the East? And you know, it's funny because it feels a little premature except that what I shared with y'all before was that the Pistons beat the New York Knicks in a series last year and they lost the series. I shared that during the series. I shared that a couple weeks ago. They beat the New York Knicks last year, but lost the series. And the learnings that you, you gain, the experience that you gain from situations like that going into the next year, like it's motivating. And you can see those guys playing with that type of motive, that level of motivation. It's like they know they gave one away and now they're building the habits to not let that happen again. And they're playing incredible basketball and it's fun to watch. As far as them coming out the East, I think, you know, if they continue to put it together, continue to move in the right direction, I don't see why they couldn't come out of the East. You know, the one thing that everybody said from the beginning of the season is like, yo, who is the clear-cut favorite out of the East? Who's gonna emerge? And I think the Pistons, they threw their name in the hat and said, hey, it's us. You know, I see they got like a mantra, like, Dirty Dogs or something like that they've been calling themselves. JB Bickerstaff is leading the charge on that. JB's demeanor is all in your face. I think, you know, they definitely have the talent. Cade Cunningham, MVP candidate. Jalen Duren playing incredible basketball this year. Isaiah Stewart being that spark plug. You know, obviously the toughness, but he's— He's a tough dude. Shooting the ball well this year. Uh, Sar Thompson, Soren taking another step. Uh, Duncan Robinson shooting the ball. They got the young kid Dennis Jenkins who's on a two-way contract but playing incredible basketball. Um, like, you know, this is a team— Tobias, who hasn't even been healthy and they've been winning these games. Like, this is a team that believe they can make a run at it, and I don't see why they can't come out of the East If they continue to build through this, through this regular season and playing the type of basketball that they've been playing, they'll only get better and better. So I don't see why. I think the one thing that they'll have to do is like, I think this is also an opportunity for JB Bickerstaff who hasn't had as much success in the playoffs to change the narrative on himself as well. So I think they're all feeling that, you know, where those guys feeling like they completely blew it against the New York Knicks. JB's feeling like, man, this is my chance. I— Yeah. To take the next step in my career, you know, I think it's beautiful to see. So yeah, I definitely think the Detroit Pistons can be a team that gets out of the Eastern Conference. Moving on to the West, KD and the Rockets, who started off 0-2, have only lost one game since. They're starting their supersized lineup of Iman Thompson, KD, Jabari Smith Jr., Alferen Shingun, and Steven Adams. And I can imagine that that length is posing a lot of issues for a lot of people. Rebounding the basketball, I'm sure, is posing a lot of issues for a lot of people. But they're playing really good basketball. You know, KD's doing what KD does. Shingun has taken a huge step. He's averaging 23, 10 rebounds. Shooting 45% from the 3, and I think 7.5 assists. You know, so they're playing great basketball. And I know the big question was, with Fred being hurt, can this team still compete? And they're answering that question. Now I do think as you get deeper into the season, games become more meaningful, playoff basketball happens. I do think that the hope for them is that Aman continues to grow. In that point guard role because guard play becomes so much more important as games get more meaningful and in the playoffs. But they are playing great. You gotta give this team a lot of credit. They're finding their identity. A lot of people had questions on Reece Sheppard on can he compete and contribute? He's been contributing. Tari Eason's been contributing off the bench. This team's been looking really good. You gotta give 'em a lot of credit. Nobody hit the panic button when they were 0-2. And you know, they've pushed through and now they're playing great basketball. So definitely gonna be a team to be reckoned with, with that type of size. They pose a lot of different issues. You know, obviously they have the scoring ability, they have the star power. So, you know, gotta watch out for KD and the Rockets, but they playing some beautiful basketball. In a world where there's news coming out of the Mavericks camp every day on whether AD gonna be traded, D'Angelo Russell, they're now saying is gonna be traded. Uh, Klay Thompson, they're saying, is going to be traded. All this news coming out of Dallas Mavericks. What was more interesting than all this news the other night was the Knicks and Mavs ending. Um, and it ended pretty much on what would have been an and-one being called a hook and an offensive foul, and the Knicks were able to pull the game out. Um, quite honestly, I thought, uh, Landry Shamet was riding the driver and kind of created the contact in order to force the hook because he was riding the driver and going off path. And so I thought the first foul, I didn't see the L2M, last 2-minute report, but I thought the first foul actually should have been called. You know, as opposed to the hook, like you gotta get the first foul. Even if you say, all right, the basket don't count because of the hook. And— but it's 2 free throws or a side out of bounds depending on if they were in the penalty or in the bonus or not. I just think you have to call the first foul if you're gonna call the second foul because the first foul to me is what creates Brandon Williams to commit the second foul that is the hook. And so extremely wild ending. You know, I think, you know, when you look at, With where Dallas season has been, you know, a win that they really needed to pull out, weren't quite able to pull it out, but I did think that should have been a defensive foul. Nonetheless, it wasn't, and the Knicks pulled that win out. Also around the association before we move into golden days, there has been a lot of shots coming outta Gil's Arena's podcast, in particular, Kenyon Martin. And it's a little disappointing. It's a little disappointing because for those of you that don't know, Draymond Green. Draymond Green. King and Martin was born in Saginaw, Michigan. King and Martin dad, Paul Roby, played at my high school. And so growing up in a city like Saginaw, Michigan, you're always looking for hope when you grow up in a city like that. So another person that was born in Saginaw, Michigan was Serena Williams. And although these people, these two people that I just mentioned didn't quite grow up in Saginaw, spent some of their younger lives in Saginaw, but didn't quite grow up in Saginaw. A city with so much pride, like a small city like Saginaw, still root for those people relentlessly. So I spent my childhood rooting for Serena Williams relentlessly because you feel that connection. Like, yo, when you look, when you look her name up and where she's born, it says Saginaw, Michigan. And for a city that's always looking for hope, you're so proud that she was born in the same place that we were born. So for Akeem Martin to go on to be the number 1 pick, have the success that he had at Cincinnati, go on and like I said, and have a pretty good NBA career. Mm-hmm. As a Saginaw native, you relentlessly cheer for those people. So the constant shots has been a little confusing to me because I don't quite know where they came from. And you think, you know, someone that was the number one pick that didn't quite have the career that I've had, but played similar roles in a sense, would appreciate it, would show more love, especially when you go back to a kid born and raised in Saginaw. You think it'll be a little more love. So it's a little disappointing to see the constant shots. You know, I just always thought it'd be a little more love than that. But when you were the number 1 pick and effectively you know, underachieved, I guess that would be the reason why. To be the number 1 pick and make the All-Star Game 1 time, most would say it's probably an underachievement, you know. Be that I was the 35th pick and made the All-Star Game 4 times. You know, Defensive Player of the Year, Kenyon Martin was a defender, I think. He would consider himself a good defender. Never quite reached the pinnacle of that when you talk Defensive Player of the Year, you know, or 9 All-Defensive teams that I had, you know, that I have, and he has zero. You know, it's tough to sit in a space of like continuing to speak on my name and call my name out as if I underachieved or am underachieving. When I was just simply the 35th pick in the NBA draft and somebody took a swing on in the second round and it just happened to work out, you know, to become one of the greatest players in a franchise history. It just happened to work out. You'd think there'd be more love from a guy who plays similar roles but underachieved a bit. Like you'd think he'd be like, man, but look at the heights that this guy took it to. And so that the guys cut from a mold like us, that now it's a path created that they can take it to even higher heights. That's the love that I thought would be there, but it's just been a little weird and like constant shots, you know? Mm-hmm. Due to my respect and my love because of the connection that I once shared, you know, or still share from Saginaw, being, you know, born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan. I've held off on responding multiple times. Number one, because I just know when I respond to shit, you know, it takes on a whole nother world and guys get more publicity than they necessarily get when I don't respond. So I've been kind of taking the path of like, I ain't gonna say nothing because I don't want to give people more publicity. But more importantly than the publicity, I try to stay in a space of respect. You know what I'm saying? I try not to be moved by someone just saying a thing or two. Because at the end of the day, I still have my beliefs and my beliefs are, man, I've rooted for this guy for a very long time. You know, so I'm not a wishy-washy guy just because somebody say something. I'm not just gonna jump out there and be like, "Oh man, like I gotta respond or forget all of that." Like, nah, I stand on what I believe in and what I've believed in is like, no, I supported that guy. So I'm not just gonna jump off the rails and attack him or be responding and, getting in these back and forths because of the respect and love that I had growing up as a kid. But man, the shots just keep coming and it's like, dang, why? And again, I just don't know how you can continue to shoot at me and you underachieve. Like one All-Star, make no mistake about it, you are an All-Star, I'll give you that. A lot of people can't say they're an All-Star, so I'll give you that. You're a one-time All-Star. That's beautiful. But you must admit, like, to be the player that you were and defender that you believed you were and then not have like a single All-Defensive Second Team, it's kind of an underachievement. You know, number 1 pick in the draft, a lot of people look for that guy to win Rookie of the Year, didn't. All-Rookie Team though, First Team All-Rookie. You know, that's an accolade that I can't say I have. I ain't really play much as a rookie as the 35th pick. So, I mean— I can't say I made any All-Rookie team. So kudos, I tip my hat to that. You know, it started off promising, but I just, like I said, man, the shots, they're just a little baffling to me because all the criticism, like if I stopped playing basketball today, my career was better, way more impactful. You know, I think Kenyon Martin lost in a couple NBA Finals. He got to sniff it. Didn't quite get a taste, but got a little sniff of it. Yeah, so you just, your resume gotta be a little better to just keep taking shots. It's not that people like your resume don't match up, people can't say, but these have been shots being taken. And it's just a little disappointing because like I said, that's a guy who I cheer for relentlessly. Yeah. You know, him in 2000 playing for the Cincinnati Bearcats. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to see that championship through either. My big brother, Mateen Cleaves, went and took that championship, you know? So yeah, man, it's just a little disappointing that it's kind of come down to this. I also, you know, I see clips. I see clips every now and then come from the show. And in particular, I see Kenyon Martin try to attack Nick Young about his NBA championship. But one thing I wanna share with Kenyon Martin, um, and Rashad McCants, you know, a couple guys who tries to attack Nick Young about his NBA championship is this. I know you guys don't understand what it means to win an NBA championship. And because of that, you guys attack Nick Young because y'all don't know what it takes. So I'm gonna share with you all non-champions what it takes to win an NBA championship. So in an NBA championship, you have your guys who has to deliver. On a roster. And for us at times, that was me, Steph, and Klay, Andre Iguodala, but he come off the bench, so there's still some grace. But me, Steph, and Klay, we had to deliver. You had to. And then you have all your guys who like play a role, and what role players do in, in, in, NBA playoffs en route to NBA championships are, what they do is, what I like to call them is swing players. As opposed to role players, I like to call them swing players. What do I mean by swing players? Your job as a role player throughout an NBA championship run is, it's easier said than done, but the concept is simple. Your job is to swing one series. And what I mean by that is, you be the piece in one series that swings the series. Because we know what Steph gonna do, we know what Klay gonna do, we know what Draymond Green gonna do, we know what they're gonna bring to the floor. We need one player that we're not necessarily expecting to do X to swing the series. And so when you go look at our championship run that Nick Young was a part of, Nick Young was the swing player in the Houston series. Game 6 and 7, Nick Young was one of the primary defenders on James Harden. Nick Young hit big threes. He swung the series for us. Guess what? Job done. When you talk about winning a championship, he swung the series. That's his job as a role player, to swing one series. He did that. So when you guys try to say his championship don't matter, He just got a ring. No, he didn't. What he did was swing a series. But because you guys never won a championship, you don't quite understand that concept. So as a 4-time champion, I'm here to share with you guys that effectively underachieved of what it means for a role player to help contribute to an NBA championship. So, I hope to not see more clips of you guys trying to shit on Swaggy and say his ring meant nothing and he did nothing for it. What he did was what you need a role player to do. What the New Jersey Nets needed Kenyon Martin to do. They needed you to swing the series, but you couldn't swing the series, so y'all lost. Y'all got smacked. Nick Young swung the series. Yeah. So as opposed to shitting on Nick Young, the NBA champion, that you kind of can't do, understand a little bit of what he did and maybe you can help the next generation swing a series. But yeah, hopefully there'll be more love, man, 'cause it's a lot of shots being thrown and quite frankly, they giving a little salty. I don't understand why. It's a little unfortunate, but I'm just here to help, man. You need help understanding what it is to be a winner, how to be a winner. I'm just here to help, fellas. Shout out to y'all though, Gil's Arena. I got much respect for guys who build their own platforms. I got much respect for guys who can continue to do it day in and day out. So shout out to those guys, man. I think the clips that I see from their stuff, it be entertaining. They do a good job. They're creating, they're building, you know. So shout out to them on Gil's Arena. Much love. And to our favorite segment of the show, we got Golden Days because when you are champions, there are golden days and we like to speak on those because why not? We're champions, we can do that. Send your moments in to draymondgreen@audacy.com. And today's memory comes from Darian. Please recap Steph's shot to tie the game in game 3 against the Pelicans in the 2015 playoffs. It was an unreal falling shot in the face of multiple defenders that I remember like it was yesterday. What was the emotion like amongst the team after watching that go in? I truly believe that that was one of the many memories that were a part of Steph's coming out party as the superstar we all know and love today. So, number one, I think,— you know, winning that game, that was game 3, put us in position. It took the Pelicans' heart, number one, because they had played as well as they could play, and they were on the verge of, you know, taking the series 2-1. And then once we won game 3, it gutted them, completely gutted them. They stood no chance of winning game 4. So that was the effect of the shot. However, the shot, if you remember, Steph missed the— Steph got an attempt and missed it. Maurice Spates got the offensive rebound, threw it back to Steph in the corner. He hit the 3 and gets crushed by 2 or 3 guys. Darius Miller, if I'm not mistaken, Anthony Davis. Um, he gets pummeled. I could be wrong on Darius Miller, but Anthony Davis definitely was one of the contests. And shooting the ball over a contested Anthony Davis arm at that time would be the equivalent of shooting over a contested Wimby arm at this time. Like, Wimby's obviously just gone to new heights. But shooting over AD at that time was like shooting over a contested Wimby. So that was just a blast to the past, or a blast to the future. If you will, and Steph, the shots and the pictures that we're getting of Steph shooting over the top of Wimby. They fell on Steph. It actually should have been an and one, and the game should have been over in regulation. However, Steph tied it with that shot. We going to overtime and coming back, like I said, in overtime, they couldn't get over that, the fact that they, that we had gotten the game overtime just as much as game 4. They couldn't get over that they had lost in game 3. And so what that did was, number one, it was the start of the dynasty. That was the first playoff series before we go on to play Memphis in the second round, before we went on to play Houston in the third round or in the conference finals. And then obviously on to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. But that moment, Like you're sitting there watching and you're like, oh my God. Like I can't believe he hit this shot. But then you're, I'm yelling like, yo, that's a foul. Like he got crushed and they called nothing. I couldn't believe they didn't call nothing. I wish L2M reports was out back then because we would've had to see the L2M report that say that was a foul. But I think the most important takeaway from that game and that play was just how it stifled the New Orleans Pelicans. And you know, they've really been trying to recover from it since and haven't quite been able to. But you know, you had these moments with organizations on where you feel like, man, like we don't own that organization, but like we got some mind control over that organization. And I think that play and that game on that playoff run kind of set the tempo for where organizations, both of them stand today. And I remember that like it was yesterday. And I still remember standing there yelling, "For a foul!" So, yeah, that's it. That's it, Draymond. That is the shot that kind of started it all. And the rest is history. I appreciate you for that Golden Days memory because it just takes you back to like the beginning of it.
