In this brief YouTube clip, Draymond Green reflects on how the 2007 "We Believe" Golden State Warriors first‑round upset has become the default favorite moment fans associate with the franchise. He jokes that he, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson used to laugh at the over‑emphasis on that single victory. A second speaker, identified only as Speaker B, shares a vivid memory from that series: whenever he stepped onto the court, the crowd would erupt in a chant of "Cuban sucks," targeting Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. Green adds that fan reactions to him vary by arena—while he still gets boos in some locations, in places like Chase Center, Detroit, and Boston the hostility has largely faded. The exchange highlights the lingering cultural impact of the 2007 series, the role of owner‑focused fan chants, and how player‑fan dynamics differ across venues.

When I came here, the only thing I would hear, "What's your favorite Warriors moment?" The "We Believe" team in '07. That's all we were hearing. Me, Steph, and Klay used to laugh. Like, these people are just excited about a first round victory. Like, what is going on? It's been around for a long time.
Except for me, it was horrible. But let me just tell you the best part about that series, if there was one, right? Put aside losing. I would walk out to the court, and the minute I hit the court, the whole place would start chanting, Cuban sucks. Cuban sucks. Cuban sucks. And I was like, put something on the Jumbotron. And then I'd walk out to see if they did it again. Cuban sucks. Cuban sucks.
I get that at every arena I walk into outside of Chase, Detroit, and Boston fans can't boo me really anymore. They stopped. They stopped. But other than that, I get it everywhere I go.
