In this YouTube short, Draymond Green evaluates former coach Doc Rivers' potential impact on the Milwaukee Bucks. Green highlights Rivers' ability to motivate players and tailor his coaching to individuals, noting that he would handle Giannis Antetokounmpo differently from Bobby Portis, unlike "old school" coaches who use a one‑size‑fits‑all approach. Green credits Rivers' playing experience for this adaptability and believes the Bucks' players will respect him, adding a new vocal leader to the locker room. While Green thinks Rivers can help the team "get over the hump" toward a championship, he remains skeptical that the Bucks can surpass the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference this season.

Chapters

What do you think Doc brings to that team and can he help them get over the hump to win a championship this season or next? I will tell you one thing, Doc is a great motivator, man. He knows each individual and how to coach each individual. He not gonna coach Giannis how he coach Bobby Portis. Old school coaches, they gonna coach one way. And that's one thing that Doc has been great at because he's been a player, he understands. And I think he's the right guy to help them get over the hump, actually. Your players gotta respect your coach. I think they respect Doc. He hasn't won as many as people probably thought he should, but he's been there and they gonna respect that. He's gonna bring some leadership and another voice because like when you look at Milwaukee, you like, who's the like vocal leader? Maybe it's Giannis, maybe it's Dame, but Doc is gonna be another vocal leader in the locker room and he's gonna, he gonna tell you like it is. He gonna keep it true to you. So hopefully, you know, he can get them far, but I don't think they gonna beat the Celtics in the East. Yeah.
