In a light‑hearted YouTube clip, former NBA star Paul Pierce interviews current player Draymond Green about his future in the league. Pierce asks how many more years Green plans to play, to which Green replies two or three. Pierce then probes whether Green will publicly announce his final season or stage a farewell tour, but Green jokes that he can’t because of potential complications. Pierce insists he will attend games and chant for Green to make such an announcement. Green adds that the only scenario in which his last year would be officially announced is if it aligns with Steph Curry’s final season, suggesting a coordinated retirement narrative. The exchange is informal, comedic, and centered on speculation about Green’s retirement timing and the possibility of a joint announcement with Curry.

All right, I'm going off right here. How many years are you in right now? I'm in year 12. How many years do you think you wanna play?
2, 3 more.
All right, in your last year, are you gonna announce this is your last year? Nah. Nah. Oh, you don't want no farewell tour?
I can't, because somebody gonna do me like I said to you, and then I'm fucked.
'Cause I'm coming to them games. And I'm gonna yell the same thing you yelled to me. Please announce your last year.
The only chance, the only chance my last year is announced, if that last year happens to coincide with Steph's last year.
Yeah.
Klay's last year. And if that's my last year, that's the only chance that it gets announced because then I could ride Steph Coutinho on his farewell tour and act like it's mine.
