In a brief, informal interview, Draymond Green recounts being at a Warriors charity poker night when Steph Curry showed him a breaking NBA trade rumor involving Luka Dončić and Anthony Davis. Curry points to a Shams Charania report on his phone, prompting Green to verify its authenticity. Initially skeptical, Green confirms the report is real, expressing disbelief and a loss for words. A second speaker, identified only as Speaker B, shares a similar reaction, noting they were with their partner when they saw the same rumor and initially called it false before recognizing Shams as a credible source. The exchange highlights the immediacy of trade news dissemination among NBA insiders and the trust placed in Shams Charania’s reporting.

I personally was at the Warriors poker charity night when the trade went down. Steph's two tables behind me and Steph goes, Draymond, you see this? I had heard like the Warriors were looking at making some trades and all of that. So he goes, you see this? And I'm like, see what? He like, the trade. I said, they did it? I'm thinking he talking about it's something that just came up with us. He like, look, look, look. "Luca and AD." I said, "Huh?" What? I walk around this table, he showed me the phone. I'm like, "Is this real?" I look closer like, "It's from Shams. It's real. You could bet your bottom dollar." I was at a loss for, I'm still at a loss for words.
I'm still like, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh. Where were you when this trade went down? I was chilling with my girl and she showed me. That's crazy. And I called bullshit. And then I looked, And I was like, "Oh, Shams." Shams. It's over. It's real.
