In this YouTube monologue, Warriors forward Draymond Green recounts how he texted Stephen Curry the night before a game, urging him to lock in and watch a tribute video, and deliberately tried to "stir the pot" to motivate the team. Curry responded immediately, but later refused to speak before the game, saying he needed to focus. Green also attempted to check in with Klay Thompson, who ignored the message. Green describes the resulting tension, the dramatic finish of the game— likening a key shot to an Olympic moment— and comments on how the night felt like a scripted NBA storyline, praising Thompson's performance despite the loss. The clip blends behind‑the‑scenes locker‑room dynamics, personal motivation tactics, and a narrative framing of the game as a perfect setup.

Soon as I text him, he called me right away. So I done tried to stir the pot a little bit, baby. As you should. So I pissed Steph off 'cause Steph was supposed to speak before the game. He like, "Yeah, I called Draymond and told him I'm not speaking. I just need to lock in on the game, so I ain't even speaking." And I talked to Klay about it, tried to check in with Klay on something else, and Klay ghosted him. So he got pissed. And here we go.
