In a brief, informal exchange, Draymond Green recounts a recurring incident where Warriors head coach Steve Kerr would break a clipboard during timeouts, especially in the team’s peak years. Green describes Kerr as normally mild‑mannered but capable of sudden, fiery outbursts that even lead to him snapping the clipboard and punching it. The conversation is peppered with slang and humor, emphasizing the light‑hearted, behind‑the‑scenes culture of the Golden State Warriors.

I heard that Steve Kerr broke a clipboard. Coach broke a clipboard in the timeout. So, you know, just light a fire.
Steve used to break clipboards all the time on us, man. Like in those glory days and like when we was like at the peak of our powers, if you will. He used to break clipboards on us all. Ah, you guys are fucking bushwackers.
Snap the clipboard and he start punching.
Tonight he punched it. It was funny 'cause Steph said, well, only took him 49 games to break a clipboard. People don't realize because Steve is so mild-mannered, super chill, but he has an incredible, incredible amount of fire inside. When it come out, it come out. And today, in that timeout, it came out.
