In a brief interview, Draymond Green asks De’Aaron Fox what message the Sacramento Kings’ decision to trade Tyrese Haliburton sends to him. Fox responds that the trade signals the organization’s belief in his abilities, but also serves as a stark reminder that a potential franchise point guard was moved elsewhere. This creates added pressure on Fox to elevate his performance and help the team reach the playoffs, a pressure he frames as motivating rather than detrimental.

Questions this video answers

For me, it's like, yo, they believe in me. But two, it's like, motherfucker, we just traded somebody who can be a franchise point guard either here or somewhere else. So you better get on your shit and you better start winning. Like, so it's like, does it add pressure? Yeah, a little bit. But at the end of the day, I've been trying to, you know, get us into the playoffs for years. So it's a little added pressure ain't never hurt nobody.
