In this episode of the Draymond Green Show, host Draymond Green recaps the Denver Nuggets' victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, emphasizing Jamal Murray's clutch performances despite injuries. He then shifts focus to the upcoming Western Conference semifinals against the Minnesota Timberwolves, arguing that the Nuggets' bench is a major weakness. Green lists Timberwolves bench contributors—Naz Reid, Kyle Anderson, Monte Morris, and Nickeil Alexander‑Walker—as depth that could exploit Denver's thin 6‑10 rotation. He contrasts the Nuggets' strong 1‑5 lineup with a vulnerable 6‑10 unit, suggesting this disparity may hinder Denver against Minnesota's deeper roster. Green predicts the Timberwolves will win the series, noting the matchup between Nikola Jokic and Rudy Gobert as another factor, and promises a deeper analysis later in the week.

Was fun to watch Jamal Murray in that series despite a bum calf, despite all the things they were up against, despite pretty much losing the entire series. And when I say losing the entire series, I mean, if you look at the margin or the amount of time that the Lakers led in the series, the series very much so could have been flipped 4-1 for the Lakers. However, Jamal Murray's heroics is a large reason why that's not the case.
Mm-hmm.
There was so much coming out of the Lakers Well, before we talk about them, let's talk about the Nuggets. The Nuggets took the series, but I think they're in trouble. And the reason I think they're in trouble, and I said this before, I just don't think their bench is good enough. And we saw that again the other night. Like, they're just not getting enough from their bench. And as you move forward, I think the difference in this Minnesota Denver series could be the bench. You got Naz Reid coming off the bench, can play huge minutes. Kyle Anderson coming off. Monte Morris, who's a great backup point guard that they're not really using much but can use. Nikhil Alexander-Walker, who's been playing great basketball. Like, I just think the depth of the Timberwolves is gonna give Denver problems. And yes, the matchup between Joker and Rudy Gobert trying to guard him is huge, but—
Yeah.
I've always told you guys, you win championships 6 through 10, not 1 through 5. And the Denver Nuggets 1 through 5 is as strong, if not stronger, than any other 1 through 5 in the league. But their 6 through 10 is as weak as any team left in the playoffs. And I just don't know if they're gonna be able to overcome that, especially against these Minnesota Timberwolves who just had an incredible showing. And I think they're poised to try to make a deeper run and they're feeling that and they want that. And so that'll be an interesting series. Personally, I got the Timberwolves winning that series, I think. But we'll get into that later in the week, my predictions. I need to analyze a little bit more and like actually sit down and do the matchups of what I think will be and look at all these things. But quite frankly, just off the top of the dome, I think Minnesota should win that series.
