In a brief YouTube short, Draymond Green reacts to a statement attributed to Zach Richardson, a recent number‑one NBA draft pick, who said he was "super athletic" in France but now feels like a "regular dude." Green condemns this self‑assessment, calling it alarming and inappropriate for a top draft selection. He emphasizes that a #1 pick must exhibit confidence and a standout mindset, warning that the league and fans will not accept mediocrity. Green urges Richardson to quickly develop a distinctive edge and reject the notion of being "regular," framing it as a red‑alert situation that demands immediate improvement.

Zach Richardson, he says, and I quote, "Back in France, I was super athletic and now I'm just a regular dude." How alarming is that statement?
Uh-oh.
This man already think he regular, he's the number one pick.
Uh-oh, ring the alarm, bro. Sound the sirens. Are you kidding me?
Red alert, red flag. What? Even if you believe that, you cannot say that, bro. That to me just shows a level of confidence that you don't have. A level of dog that you don't have. Being a regular dude as the number 1 pick in the NBA ain't okay. Nobody gonna let you be regular. So my man, you better figure out how to stand out and you better do it fast.
You never wanna be regular, bro. You didn't come here regular. If you figured out that you was regular, you should say, "Hey man, I wanna rescind my contract." And send me back to France. And send me back to France, bro. We can't be doing no regular shit.
