In this short clip, Zach LaVine reflects on his performance in a Slam Dunk Contest, emphasizing the pure skill and athleticism required. He explains that the contest came down to a toss‑up decided in overtime, where the best dunk would win. LaVine describes attempting a between‑the‑legs dunk from the free‑throw line—a maneuver he had never tried before—and successfully landing it, noting it was both his first and only attempt at that specific dunk.

You have to put that up there to be one of the best dunk contests just on the pure skill, athleticism, and the 50s that we were doing. And, um, it was a toss-up, and it just came down to who had the best dunk at the end in the overtime. And, uh, I tried to go between the legs in the free throw line. That was the first time I tried that, and I made it. So that's the first time you ever tried it? That was the first time I ever tried it. First time and only time.
