So.
So let's start today with Rapid Fire question.
Rapid Fire. So you have to answer the first question I think in my head. I have to answer the first question you think of in your head. First question in my head is, if you were in a cartoon show, what cartoon would that be?
The Jetsons. Why?
First of all, like, the Jetsons came out in like the early 90s 80s. Why is that the first thing in your head? The Jessons? Because it's futuristic. Speaking of that, I really feel like we're going backwards. I feel like they were more futuristic in the 70s and 80s. Are you listening to me?
They were able to dream, and so they were actually thinking about what you have to like. So the first time AI actually was mentioned.
Are you the AI guy?
I'm that tech pastor.
Hey.
So no, it's 1919 actually was first time. There's a robot named Q. And the robot named Q was this robot. That was the first time we started seeing AI being a thing. They were thinking about this stuff back in 1919.
Wow.
Interesting, right? And so I do think the Jetsons were ahead of their time. I do think also money. I think there's a cure for cancer someplace. But money, right? And so like, even AI stuff, like, it's only spot out because of money. It's gonna. It's like, you know, just stuff like that. So I do think, like, we should have future car, like flying cars. But there are. There's one, if you follow my Tick tock and my Instagram, that tech pastor. I put a video of a flying car and they're building it like a drone.
So every time you say TikTok, we should like bust out in a dance. It's like singing and dancing today. Now that's real. Even when we went to the Space Needle in Seattle, how that was like a futuristic 100, like thing, like the first thing to be A tall structure just in the design of it, right? Which we kind of like equate to like mid century modern. But how that's like a futuristic. Very linear lines, tall, this futuristic structure. And then they used to have a restaurant that would rotate around. And that was so innovative because the time it is, I think it was so advanced that they can't even figure out today how to like kind of get it to work, right.
It was a dollar, right now it's what, like 20, 30 bucks to go up there. My question is, do you want the Apple Vision Pro?
Maybe I want to check it out, but I don't want to own it. It just seems so weird to me. Like, why are you going around into like that? I am Sam Spatial computing.
Do you understand you can watch YouTube over here and work over here and every. And then you don't.
I feel like it would be cool if everybody had access to them. And I think it's like that black mirrors episode where you can look at someone and immediately get their like, stats, facts. Hey, this is Justin. This is what he does quickly. Or if you have like an interview, if you have something that you like, you get the quick stats fast before talking to someone. Or like, hey, you know this person from this place, like, that's cool. I think, I think I also like the ideas of like, you can count your calories really fast. Like, it does a lot of stuff. It's just, it's so new. So the people who have it just look.
I love it though.
Weird. Oh, we know.
I love it. I want one. If it wasn't four grand, I'd definitely like, try to figure out where to get it. It's just that it's $4,000. But the same with the Apple iPhone. When it first came out was like, same thing. But what they did, because what Apple did is they just prepared people for those things. So, like, there's something they're probably definitely not probably. They're definitely working on something that's gonna build upon this Vision Pro.
I did like how the lady said at the Apple Store when we were just like looking and just perusing the parameters and she was like, what's different between like virtual reality, right? Is it shuts you down from the world, right? So you are in another space, another reality in the headset or whatever world that you're going into. Spatial reality is different because you're still in your world. You're still able to see and engage in your world. But it's integrated technology and that's what makes it 10 times better because you're still able to do the things while being present. Or is that even possible?
Well, it's. What's augmented reality?
Oh, get you together. That tech pattern, that tech Pat.
I think it's actually more mixed reality and spatial computing. But yeah, so it's really saying like virtual reality is escaping the world. Augmented is bringing the virtual world to your world. Like Pokemon. Right. So it's bringing them. So this I think might be more mixed reality because it's like all of that. But anyway, that's. That's it. What we wanted to talk about today and as we were thinking through a topic was we have a. We have a six year old who loves YouTube. And what we found is that he wasn't just watching YouTube. He was watching YouTube. Kids. Sorry. He was watching YouTube. And we were like, what are you watching? And we finally. He was watching like teenage that wanted to be 16. And then what was funny you asked.
Him, he's like, how do you cam 16? And he'll like, put that in there. I'm 16.
Yeah. And so the same thing goes for like the other day we were driving home and I saw this car that said Puff on it. So immediately we talk about Puff Daddy. But that's a whole.
It's a whole can of worms.
Not P. Diddy. I'm talking when he was Puffy. So when Puffy was not P. Diddy. Because B Daddy founds like Bentley. I'm curious if like that the story sponsored Bentley has but Puffy. So I saw the song that said Puff on it. And so immediately I started saying is that Puff Daddy is son and Cor. What song is that? And it was a random 112 song. Those of you who know it, you guys already know we're singing Justin likes track 13.
So track 13s are like track number 13 on like CDs and albums. Like when we used to listen to CDs where it's not the main or flagship song, but you got the album. So you just listen to it all through. But it's very like, it's a passion song for the artist. You could tell.
But so this song had Mace on it before Mace was preaching all of that. Anyway, I started singing the song and then the next song on One Toes album was Anywhere, you know, we can.
Make love in the back.
I was like. And that's. I knew the words. And then I looked at the year this album came out and I was in middle school and it made me remember like the songs they were singing in middle school. Like in those jeans was a song in. In Middle School. Different 11 we were 2002. We were in our freshman year of high school. Like we were singing so anxious. Bills, bills, bills.
We were singing can you pay my bills? No, girl, I can't. Like, cuz when you think about it, they were in their early 20s, right? Like they were in their early 20s and they were teenagers thinking this stuff. And it's like a average guy your age is probably working at Target or someplace else, Best Buy or Radio Shack. No, he can't pay your pop star bills.
I'm sorry. So then you think about that. Right? So then we think about that. Let me think about today where like, you know, I was about to sing this song. I'm not gonna sing it, but you got these new artists and they're singing these songs like, you know, I can't even think of a clean. What's a clean current song? I can't. That's so sad. I can't think of one but Sexyy Red and who else is out here? Drake. Drake has been around forever, but Drake and whatever. But these songs of these 30 and 40 year olds and late 20 year olds like Courtney, you told me Ice Spice is in her 20s.
Yes. She's like 24.
So it's just like these songs that.
People are singing or just being in your season. I just saw an article that essentially is saying that like Sephora, the store, the makeup store is essentially being carried by 10 year olds. The makeup, the Stanley cup is being carried by kids, middle schoolers.
So we know the things skip a generation. So like our generation is in essence like the tech version of the boomers, right? So like it skipped. So it went from boomers, skip Zennials and hit us. So like Gen Z is weird because Gen X is weird. So it skip the generation. Like Gen Z is just like weird. And then they got hit with the pandemic and Gen X got hit with the AIDS epidemic. Like, it's just weird. So now Gen Alpha is us, but like it's just so like our son is like us. Right? It skips a generation.
Okay. Yeah.
And so it's like weird because it's like we're seeing them and they're doing the same stuff that like we did.
Right.
We were their age, right? So yeah, they're carrying. So they want to be us. They're carrying Sephora. They want the Stanley Cups, they want the cars we drive, they want the jobs we have. And it's diff. It's weird because it's Like, I look at Cam, I look at the kids at church. I look at the kids even around our house, and I'm like, please enjoy being 13. Like, you don't have any bills. You don't have. And if you do, like, it's. You're paying half of your cell phone bill. You know what I mean? Like, not the whole thing. You're paying your. You're paying half of your part of your cell phone bill. Like, you don't have to be someplace outside of, like, school. So stressful. Oh, my God. Like, I get it. But I guess, like, living in the season, you're in, where your feet are.
Why do you think it is so hard for us, though, to be in the season? Why are we always, like, looking ahead? Right? Because. And let me set this up. Because it's like, okay, when you're young, even as a. As a girl, when you're young, oh, I can't wait to get married, to have kids, even. Think about, like, the baby dolls, right? We're training them early to be mothers, right? To take care of kids, even how they do their toys and boys as well, right? Like, how to be a father, how to be in a relationship, how to take care of a household or whatever, or how to have a job or whatever that looks like, why don't you think? Or are we even capable as humans to be present in the season?
Yeah, I think we are. And I think there's a notion of privilege, but then there's also. I believe everybody's trying to get someplace, and it's trying to get to. So the person you're talking to, trying to get to where you are, and the person who's talking to you, trying to get you to avoid their failures, right? So I used to be like that when I talk to young preachers. Actually had this conversation with someone the other day, and they said, like, you know, I'm gonna get there. I'm gonna get there. I said, you are. You're there. You're where you need to be with everything that you have. And the issue is we're trying to be someone that we literally cannot be. And so then the wealthy over here, hey, go be yourself. Go to college. Go make decisions. Go fail. Like, I love telling students when they leave to go to college at our church, I love telling students in front of their parents, hey, go make poor decisions for four years. And they get all wheelchairs. No, please. Because you're not gonna have this privilege to fail, right? And to make decisions and to succeed. Like, success is built upon the rocks of failure, right? And it's just. You just learn how to stabilize failure, right? Like, everything, even we do, like, even our jobs, our work, even, like, the businesses are starting, like success is built on the rocks of failure. But because we're afraid to let other people fail because we know ours, we don't want them to do what we did, right? And then we also, I think, want whatever somebody else already has, right? And when you free yourself from that, then you're able to get to a place where you're living the life that you're called to live, being the person you're called to be. So then, yes, we teach young girls how to be great wives. We don't teach them how to be themselves. Not even great women, just a human. We teach boys how to be great husbands. So what do they do? Hey, I'm gonna go out, find as many women as possible. Hey, I'm gonna go out, live my life how I want to. I'm gonna eat in this. Because every time my body I look like this, I'm eating everything. I'm gonna be anemic. I'm gonna not eat at all. I'm going to wear these type of clothes. I'm gonna go to Sephora, put a lot of makeup on. I'm not gonna put any makeup on at all. I'm gonna be this, I'm gonna be that. I'm gonna be against what someone told me I needed to be or same thing as a boy, right? Play sports, be a man. No, I'm gonna go dance. I'm gonna go do tech. I'm gonna go do this. And it's like, don't be who you are. What is it that you love to do?
What is it? Yeah. Well. And I think that's a great point, because I don't think we know what we like to do presently.
No.
Because our gaze is always on, like, future things and future things. One of the things I've been trying to do with Cams, our son, he's very stubborn. Very. Like, he has his mind made up and he knows what he's gonna do. And he's very. Not at all. No, I am not that severed. I'm not stuff. I'm not stubborn. Anyway, so for. For instance, he. He. You know, like those temporary kid tattoos, right? And he puts them all over his body, right? And he just, like, put the water. Although. And I'm like, cam, you are killing me, man. Like, I feel like you're going to get tattoos or you're going to get older. He's like, oh, I. I'm definitely going to get a tattoo and I'm definitely going to have a Tesla. Tesla. And I'm definitely going to do this, and I'm definitely moving to this. It's a new state each week. The first it was North Carolina. Now I forget what it was, but we're in a new state. Las Vegas is the new state with his girlfriend. And I'm like, you are six years old. And so I've been trying to pull out the beauty of being six, right? Like, come, let's read a book. Let's play Uno, let's play family board games. Let's watch a movie, a family appropriate movie. Let's do things and pull out. Wow. Like, you don't have to, you don't want to. Because with all those things, you get to do those things and you have the freedom of choice because it comes with a lot of responsibilities. It comes with bills, it comes with maintenance, it comes with all of these things that you have to pay for to be able to live in the life that you want to live. And I'm like, but now that you don't have to pay for it, enjoy the innocence and the beauty. That is six, right? Six and a half. Because it's always the half. And I'm always have to be more. And I can't wait till I'm seven. But last year we couldn't wait till we were six, you know, and even.
To that end, though, so it's been something that I would say, personally, I am just getting to probably in the last, like three months to being in the moment, right? Like God gave us Lamentations three, He gave us new mercy and new grace. For today, there's new mercy tomorrow, new grace tomorrow, there's new mercy, new grace today. And personally, I am just getting to the place to be where your feet are. Because said this before, and I'll say it again, overthinking does not change the future. Overthinking does not change the past. It just screws up your present. And so that's the same thing to me. Look at Galatians 5, the Acts of the flesh. All those acts of the flesh just screw up the present. Jealousy screws up the present. Comparison screws envy screws up anger, screws up the present. All of that screws up the present. And then plants negative seeds for the future.
That's it.
Whereas the fruits of the spirit enhance the present, they enhance the moment. And I personally am just getting to that place where like I'm enjoying the Moment, right? You know, and I think I really, I look back on it. I look back on my life. I look back on like, you know, info Combat always makes me laugh because I'm like, I see guys that are exactly my size running 40s. I ran in high school. But I got made fun of it for, right? And it was just like, man, I really wish I lived in the moment and kept and worked harder. I wish I lived in the moment and did XYZ instead of like, well, I'm going to do what they say. I'm going to do what my coach says. I'm going to do what my parents say don't do. I'm going to do this. I'm not going to work harder in this. I'm going to be this person and regret it, right? And while they meant well, every person I realized meant well, right? Even us. We're talking to you guys. So you can take this in, plan it, let it go through both ears. We mean well. I think we have to mean well for ourselves. I think one of the issues is that we want other people to mean well more than we mean well to ourselves. And I think that's the problem. Like, we want other people to, like, when are we going to get comfortable to live our own lives?
That's such a good point. You know, I sit there and I think about all the time growing up, I always wondered like, oh, am I going to get married or who am I going to get married to? Am I going to have a kid? How many kids am I going to have and where are we going to live? What is that? What kind of house am I going to have? Whatever this, whatever job am I going to get? This type of stuff spent like your whole life worrying, right? Did worrying make anything come sooner? No. Does worrying and overthinking make anything come before it's time? Absolutely not. And so many times I shudder. And I think some of my biggest regrets in life are spending the time worried and thinking about what will happen in the future instead of allowing it to happen when it happened, right? And enjoying the moment, right? Like how many girls times or lunches or brunches or times when I was younger and in college that was I not present because I was overthinking this? How many times did I miss out on adventures or, or doing different things? Because now in this next season, my time is limited, right? I can't, I can't do all the girl stuff and the girls trips and the all this kind of stuff like process because your, your time is Divided, Right. How much more I could have put into my career and my work earlier on without the family and without that, when I had time to really build that. Right. And then now in this space to do that, because I'm so worried about whatever. And you say all the time, like, overthinking just robs you of your present.
Well, think about even with children. So when the kids come, like, even I'm thinking about this for cam, you have 18 summers, right? So even as I think through speaking and going out in the community and stuff this summer, it's like, yeah, I want to build my trips around us. Can I pair this with something? Because I have 18 summers, and now we've. We've gone through six. So I have 12 summers left before Cam's in college. Cam's working, Cam's married. Right. It may have some afterwards. Hope we don't, but we may. And if we do, we do. But we have 18 summers, right? It's the same. And that's if the Lord says so, right? So it's one of those things where I guess, like Henry Nouwen talked about even how we abuse the prophetic word of God. And he says, we have dumbed down the prophecy of God to only wanting God to give us a future that conveniences us. Instead of listening to prophecy, is God unveiling preparation for his coming. But because we're not living in the here and now, we just want to know, God, tell me if I'm going to get the job. God, tell me if I'm going to get the relationship. God, tell me. And if God doesn't, God's like, no, I'm telling you how to be conformed to my image.
And I thought about that before, right? Like, how different if we live lives. Like, when you're born, you were born with, like, your life. You were born with knowing. Like, when you're born, you're like, okay, so this is how long you'll live to this particular age. This is what you'll do. This is who you'll marry. This is what will happen. This is what I designed for you. This is my design for your lives. Like, don't mess it up.
Yeah.
I wonder how we would live life differently.
I think we would live life the way that we see it in some of these, like, ways that we are. Some of these movies that are coming out. I think we live life in such a way that's like, what's the point? This is guaranteed. And I think that's the point.
We live wild.
Like, I don't think it's necessarily wild. Live lazy. We live. That's how I would respond. Live lazy, right? Because if that's what's going to happen, I'm just gonna live.
Live.
I'm gonna exist. I'm gonna just be.
It's a lazy. Free.
I don't even. Maybe that's free. Galatians 5 and 1. Maybe it's free. I don't, I don't. I think it's interesting because I think if we know that, like, if I know, like right now, like, hey, you're gonna make X amount of dollars in the year 2030 bet, right? There's some things God has revealed to us personally where it's like, they've all come true. Great. So I got the things that God reveals. Great. I'm trusting it. I'm chilling on it. I'm just gonna keep moving on it. And whatever happens, happens. And the things that God says gonna happen have happened. And it's like, great. But I'm not. Like, we don't flaunt it doesn't. But it's still there. There's faith in it, there's grace in it, there's favor in it because sin kills it.
And that's the thing sin comes in and is grasping at. But that's where Satan works, right?
See, Satan doesn't. Sorry, I mean, cut you off. But like, I think we look at Satan like this, like, saber tooth lion is going to come in and like, eat you up alive at the front door. A snake is like, trying to get you. And it's like, I think Satan really is like, this is where you're headed. This is what God said. Like, Joe, this is what God is doing in your life, right? How can I get you distracted? So.
So I. I take that as like, so what? I mean, if, like, if God told us, like, yep, you're gonna get married in, I don't know, 2000, I don't know, 2016. I don't know. I've even taken this as an example. But, like, you're gonna get married then and you're gonna live. And I have. God's intended goal is for marriage to be forever, right? Marriage to be forever. Because it's a covenant, which is a lifelong thing, right? God did blood covenant. So, like, if he makes a covenant and if you make a covenant before God, it's a lifelong thing. But sin comes in and this is what destroys a lot of our relationships, right? Because we get selfish, we get egotistical, we get sinful, we get lustful, we Want something that doesn't belong to us. And that sin, then what God intended to be a lifelong commitment of love, happiness, joy, patience, peace, all the fruits of the Spirit has become now a life full of turmoil. Because now you are breaking covenant with someone. You now have to deal with the ramifications, Your family has to deal with the ramifications, all these different things. Because sin is not something that you fall into or something that you don't get attacked. A lot of the sin, and you said this in your sermon the other day, a lot of the storms that we have are stuff that we have hurled at ourselves, right?
And then we get my God for stuff that we brought on. I think it applies to relationships, press for our professional lives, applies to our personal lives, applies to our growth. Where Satan is nothing but distractions. And distractions are inner denial on the destiny that God has told you. So it is. I don't think I can handle it like that. Dude in Love is blind, right? Do you know, because you talk about it so much, not you. That shoes not to reference dude is in a relationship. I have not seen it.
We can watch it together.
Not watching Love is blind. But. But dude is in relationship. You said with NFL cheerleader, right? So he has a woman that some guys would just dream of dating, right? And so here he is, and all he can think about is his own inner denial on the blessing in front of him. That's distractions. So I'm distracted. And he's distracted by one thing. Sin. He is distracted by his father's sin. And he's distracted by his inevitability. Well, not his possibility.
Yeah, we're talking about clay and AD from Love is Blind. And that's. You know what? But like, that's such a good point. But shows like that would not even exist, right? If we completely know if and know that when we say yes to Christ, right. We know that God has a plan for us. God has a plan for all of us since the day that we were born, Right? And it's even more cemented for us when we say yes to him. Right. And walk in his ways. Those people sign. You sign up for shows like that because you believe that God does not have the best for you. And if you believe that God doesn't have the best for you or it's not happening at your timeline or it's not. So you sign up for these shows. I got to make it happen because I know that inevitably marriage is the end goal. Right. I don't trust that God has me on this timeline, I don't trust that God has me in his will. I don't trust that God planned out for me. So I need to make it happen because I'm tired of being lonely. I'm tired of not having a relationship. I thought based on my own timeline that I'd be married by now. So let me sign up for this show, right? Where I know the guarantee is marriage. Right. And even when I was shar showcasing to you last one, we don't even speak up for our needs when we try to progress God's timeline. Right? So, like, honestly and for those that watch Love is Blind, I don't necessarily think he, like, I think he likes AD for who she is. I don't think he's necessarily attracted to her than he's attracted to her body, but necessarily not attracted to him because you don't keep bringing up what you might do in the future or what you might do because you don't know how to say, oh, and you got yourself into something because you weren't peaceful in the present.
Yeah. And that. And that's the thing. So act your age and act your season.
I think this comes down to, like, and enjoy.
I think, because there's. I told this to someone in our church who was pv, said it when he was here. You're the only one who needs you to live. Like, you're the only one. So, like, you know, I gotta do all these things for other people. I gotta go here. I got to do that. You're the one who needs you to live. And like, you know, as much as it's like, you're living for your spouse, you're living for your children, you're living for your community. That's awesome. And that's being servants. But first of all, you're the only one who needs you. Like, I die. Kim and Courtney are gonna live, right?
Barely.
But I die. And that's why, like, I joke about, like, funerals, like, I don't believe long life is a reward. And it's just like it's a life well lived. Right. And when life gets too big for the body, God takes it and you gotta live.
Yeah.
And by living, that's not yolo. That's not, you know, destroying your body, destroying your reputation and then hoping that grace covers it. That's cheap. Grace. Grace. Grace upon grace upon grace upon grace is favor. And Paul talks about that, that now unto him, he'll make that abound. Right? And so I think the opportunity and that. But that's a giving scripture, right? Like, I won't even get into this. But, like, God makes favor abound, so therefore cheerfully give, because you're living in abundance. And so it's this whole notion of, like, living our lives to the fullest, living our lives to the absolute best of its capability, is enjoying every single being where your feet are. So seeing the, like, did you see the cars around you or did you just see the one that cut you off? Did you see the children walking to school today? Did you see the. What color did your co workers wear? Right? What. What was not the first post you saw on Facebook, but what was the color of the mountain you drove by? What was the. What was the name of the song on the radio that perked you up? What was the name of the book that you read this morning? What was one quote from that book like? But we're not where we are, so we can tell. Because the thing is, I'm talking about this, talk about this at church on Sunday. I talk about a sleepy Jesus. So if you want to tune in friendship, go ahead. But I'm talking about, like, Jesus sleeps in storm. So why don't you. Jesus literally took a nap because he knew who he was. There's no I'm not at Calvary yet, so nothing can kill me. Yeah, I'm not a Calvary.
So he wasn't, like, looking up. He wasn't looking up crosses. He wasn't looking up. Let me see what type of cause I'm gonna have. Am I gonna have, like, any friendships? Am I gonna get married before this? Like, how many miracles am I actually gonna do, God? How many this am I gonna actually do? Is my name gonna be okay? Is this gonna be okay? And overlooking. He enjoyed everything. I'm not at the crosshair, fully engaged.
And made fun of them too.
In every.
I'm not at the cross yet.
No. But he fully enjoyed every season he was in. And I love that about Christ. Like, when he was time to fast, like, we're in the moment, like, where the universal church is fasting as we go towards eas, Easter and the Lenten season. But he was fully into it.
That's it. He was. And then fully. He was into it when he was. So the thing about Jesus, and my last thing I'll say is the story of Jesus in the wilderness is one of the most powerful stories of scripture. We actually see it, as I'm studying, discuss this and dismiss. It's actually cyclical because it bookends this story where someone who's satanic, infested with Demons who blasphemes him comes along and says, if you are, do something. So Gestus says that if you are the son of man, get off the cross, Satan in the wilderness. If you are the son of God, turn these thorns into bread. And so all this stuff. But it comes down to the question, if you are, do this. And Jesus is like, I will never let anybody else tell me who I am. I am may. Should I live by right alone. I am not tomorrow, but today, you will be in paradise. And it's one of those things where Jesus teaches us great things about identity. Answering that question, if you are, that's what the world does to you every single day. If you are Courtney, if you are Justin, then do this. Yes or no. And I think that comes down to.
The issue and going back, like, fully leaning into every season, and when it was time to party, he fully leaned into it. And when it was time to make friends, he fully leaned into it.
His mama forced him to go to the party.
The party, yeah. But then other places and other things informing community and. And where he was, he fully leaned into, like, where he was even talk about this, like, personally right now. So the job that I worked at for the past four years, we had to shut down. It was a startup, right? And we shut down in December and it just, it ended right. Everything just ended right because of funding. And you know, with startups, they launch hard, but they crash too. So that was the. You don't watch, you engage, but that was the perils and that was the risk of doing this, right? And right now I'm in the season where I'm like, okay, like, now I have years of experience. I have years of this. I have this, I have that. But one of the things I had to sit down and I'm like, God, I don't want to waste this season, right? Like, it's so easy to make this season about, like, oh, God, nobody's calling me back on a job or how come nobody. I don't have all these people knocking at my door on a business that I started. Or how. How come it's not? Because maybe this is just my time of rest. Everything that I've prayed for in this moment, God has granted, right? I like to say, I don't know how it's happening, but this is the promise. When you tithe, when you tithe abundantly, this is what happens. We have more money now than what I did with the job.
And think about it too, even for us, like, I don't do manipulative offerings. We don't do none of this, none.
None of that stuff. It's like the woman like in Elijah, like every time she went, every time she went, it was always there. Every time she went, it was all those that we've given more, we've given more in this season than we have with two full time jobs. And so it just caused me to think, why am I stressing out? And because like, this is a season, right? Season change right now. So this meme that was like right here in California, it's like cold, it's rainy, it's all that. And it's like spring and winter, like fighting over whose turn it is. And it's so funny. And it's like as the seasons change, like it's not going to be summer forever, it's not going to be winter forever. Like things change this season that you're in right now, and I think that's our encouragement to you is that whatever season that you are in right now, it is not forever. So enjoy it to the fullest, right? Because each new season there's beauty. There's beauty in winter, there's beauty in spring. There's beauty to it, but it's different, right? There is a time for rest, there's a time for harvest, there's a time for that. But nothing should cause you to make you overthink, to miss the season that you're in. And so that has been my, like, I take my hands off of this. Like, you will lead me to my next season. You will lead me to where I need to go. And that you do not withhold good things from your children. You do not withhold the things that I'm supposed to do. My steps are ordered by you. As long as I stay in your will and stay committed to you, God will order my steps. And that has been my prayer and that has been my move. But God, and I'm enjoying every aspect of it. Enjoying checking out the things that I've been meaning to check out that I couldn't do before because I had to work, enjoying volunteering at my son's school, enjoying spending time or picking him up early and randomly or, or doing the things that he wants to do because I didn't have a chance to get that before. And I don't want to go into the next season and be like, dang, I wish I would have enjoyed that season when I had it.

AI gives you hours back every week. Most people's first move is to fill those hours with more work.

Most people stall out on AI at the exact same step. They don't know where to start.

Thank you for the follow-ups, the messages, the emails, all of it since the New York Times piece. Gr

The New York Times spent a weekend with me. Digital twins, AI, the local church, all of it.
