Justin R. Lester suggests starting with Mark because it's the shortest Gospel, then read one of Paul's shorter letters like Galatians or Philippians, then alternate between another Gospel and Pauline letter to learn Jesus' story and how to apply it in church.

Let me give you three quick steps on how to read your Bible this year. Number one, start in the Gospel of Mark. Mark is the quickest and the shortest of the four synoptic gospels. And what that gospel is going to do, his favorite word is the word immediately, like immediately, because Jesus was always on the move. So first of all, start in the Gospel of Mark. Then after you read the Gospel of Mark, then well read one of Paul's four letters. Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, or Colossians. Those books are all going to teach us how to practice what you just read in the Gospel of Mark. Then step number three, go back and read one of the other four Gospels, and then read one of Paul's of the four letters, and then read one of the other four G Gospel, and then read one of the Other four letters. And in the end, you'll find out the story of Jesus and how to practice it in the local church. From there, a proverb, a day keeps the devil away. Whatever day of the week it is. Read a proverb, get some wisdom, know Jesus. If you like content like this, be sure to like and subscribe and we'll see you soon.
