I was the proudest person I knew until this happened. I figured out three ways to move past pride. Can I give you them? Number one Admit it. Tell your friends. Tell God. Confess your sin of giving yourself more importance than Jesus and other people. Number two. Allow other people to influence you. Submit yourself to other people in your life like trusted friends, mentors or pastors. By allowing people to candidly talk about how you're thinking and what you're thinking, it can help you move past pride. Number three Actively pursue humility. Pride is thinking you're too good enough to earn God's approval, while false humility is pridefully thinking you're too bad for God. True humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less. You are amazing, but you're not God. Be comfortable with that truth.
