Here are three ways to love someone who is depressed. See, Christians are not immune to depression, and given its prevalence in our world, many of us probably know someone who is depressed. Loving someone who is depressed can be difficult. But someone dealing with depression needs the hope of Jesus and needs your friendship more than ever. So here are three ways that you can love someone who is depressed. Remind them of what's true. Someone who's depressed can often feel alone, unloved and full of doubt. You be the one who brings hope. Number two, be patient. Depression is not healed overnight. Be persistent in prayer and patient in person. And number three, reach out regularly. Isolation leads to creativity, but when your friend is isolating you be the insulation that keeps them together. The best gift we can give to someone dealing with depression is the same love and grace that Jesus gave us. As you spend time with Jesus, we experience what it's like to be loved by him and have more of his love to give away to others. If you want content like this, be sure to like and subscribe.
