5 Ways AI Can Bless Your Workflow, Not Steal Your Soul

Welcome to episode two of Tech with etechpastor. Today we're talking about five ways AI can bless your workflow and not steal your soul. Five ways that AI can bless your workflow and not steal your soul. Here's one of the things I realized that Jesus used parables and we use prompts. Jesus gave parables. They were earthly stories with heavenly meanings. And what Jesus said was he, he took parables, he took these earthly stories to heavenly meetings and he made sense of the world to the people around him. Would a man do this? What about this? Say there's a woman who had coin. Say there was a man who had three servants and he gave them talents. Jesus used parables. I think in our world today, one of the ways that we can see the parallel to this is using our prompts. How we prompt, how we tell a large language model. How we use these large language models for the sake of the gospel, I think is important and I want to tell you this, that your Sunday should not suffer because of your Monday emails. If your Monday is overwhelming, your Sunday was amazing. Your Monday should not overwhelm you because you got all the strength from Sunday. And so I want to tell you today to teach you some things that you're not not lazy, you're just layered. And so let AI hold something for you. Here's a question I want to ask you as we dive into this conversation today. What are the five things that you would like you get tired of doing every single day? I want you to name the five things you are tired of doing every single day. What are those five things for you? Once you name those five things, what if AI could do those things for you? So for me, I hate sending emails. I get tired of emails. Emails are over annoying to me. I hate scheduling meetings, I hate reminding myself of meetings, I hate doing the follow up to meetings, the due for meetings, all of that. And I found a tool called Lindy which allowed me to set up my email to do automatic responders, automatic email triaging, meeting responders, meeting setup, meeting organization. It's amazing because this Lindy has come along and literally changed everything for the way that I send my emails, right? What are the things when it comes to image creation? I'm a Photoshop junkie. I like Canva, I'm a Photoshop junkie. I like ChatGPT used to photo image generation and it's allowed me to speed up a lot of things Instead of having to go recreate so much stuff, you can literally take an image you've made, put it in a chatgpt, tell it to change it and recreate the image for you. Think about those things for you in your life. Right? And I want you to consider that when it comes to you, when it comes to preparing things, leading things, making agendas, all of that. How AI can be a tool to help you remember this. AI is a hammer. It's not the house. So you can't build your life with AI. But it can be a tool to help you sustain the scaffolding. Right? It can't build your house, it is not the house. But it can be a tool that can help you. And you're looking for a GPT that is catered to you to help you craft sermons and do pastoral care and do work. Well, I got made one for you. It's called Pastor GPT and it's made for black pastors and black church leaders by a black pastor. In here you have formative space, formative ways to engage with your preaching, your teaching, your pastoral care. All for black congregations, black people and black pastors. Now anybody can use it, but it's crafted especially for black people to have a space to do their own thing and to engage holistically as black individuals. The goal of it is to give black pastors and church leaders a space to bleed black pastors and church leaders. Five ways AI can bless your workflow and not steal your soul. Number one, Content creation. Content creation. One of the ways you can use your large language model and then not only the large language model with various tools is a way for you to create content. Whether you want to create faceless content with someplace like Platato, right? Or an AI avatar with a place like Heygin or Team TeamD ID or using it to create workflows for you. Like on using manychat to help do follow ups and engaging with you for content or using ChatGPT to give you a 30 day marketing plan if you really want to accelerate your work. Whatever large language model you have that you put lot of your work into ask it to make a 30 day marketing plan using reels and using carousels and using TikTok for you. The cool thing is AI can assist you in content creation and now with tools like Suno or tools like Captions that can add music to it, you can literally have a faceless channel or do automated work like Metro Cool and Buffer that will automate your follow up, automate your engagement. It's really cool that content creation can accelerate that for you. Not just that, but using a place like Canva can allow you to create newsletters and Napkin can create newsletters and infographics that can assist you in accelerating everything you do when creating your content. So the first thing I want to challenge you to do ways that you can use AI number one is content creation. Number two is administration. You hear me mention earlier about using a tool like Lindi. I love using it because it takes away a lot of the administrative work and administrative tasks that are overwhelming to me. But also I want you to think about if you have Google, the G Suite or Microsoft 365, how Copilot and how the G suite can help you with Gemini to help you work with your calendar, to write emails for you, to have automated follow ups, to have the emails pre written for you when you train it. It's going to be helpful for you with administration. So I want to challenge you to think through. If administration is an area where you are saying listen, I need to get this off my plate, this can help you. Number three is teaching. It can help you cultivate. I created a tool called PASS for GPT for those of you who are educators. I highly recommend using it to make sure that the stuff that you're saying is current to your context but can help you plan things out. Now I don't like using it to like do the work for you but to plan things out to help you organize your thoughts, your time, all of that. AI can help you definitely plan that out, give you outlines and give you courses to think through to teach. Number four is organization. Think about all the work that it can help take off your plate for communication, to make sure your voice is streamlined, GPTs that you can create to streamline your voice, ways you can plan retreats that you can look up things before they even happen, search for things or find and plan a trip before it even happens. You can organize your day before the day even happens. And lastly strategy using Perplexity or a tool like Undermine. You can do entire SWOT analysis and deep research for vision casting and engaging with people and understanding strategy behind what you do. What's amazing here is that strategy is able to be executed a lot faster where you need consultants and engineers and sorry, consultants and marketing leaders and branding people to come on in and do work for you. And now you can do all of this work with artificial intelligence, not only replacing extra money, but then for those of you who need to to be able to think through things without having to wait for a phone call or an email back. That's where strategy for me comes in. So my challenge to you, for those of you who are people of faith, is getting past the thought that AI is demonic or AI is divine, but really just AI is a tool. AI is not God and AI is not the devil. It's a tool. It's a tool that can help you make content, a tool that can help you accelerate your administration, a tool that can help you teach, a tool that can help you organize, and a tool that can help you strategize. So my challenge to you then is, well, for people of faith, pray before you prompt. Your prompts are what's going to if Jesus used parables, we use prompts and your prompts are going to be ways that you are literally telling these models, telling your memories, telling your stories how you want them to be communicated. So pray before you prompt God, what are the words of language I need to agitate? I need to realize and to grab a hold of it's online on the Internet and this large language model to help me realize and to share out what you need me to share. How can this help me accelerate the work you're calling me to do? Pray before you prompt. I want to give you a prompt to try and I want to give you a tool to try as well. So for those of you on here, let's think about content creation. Here's what I want you to do. Act as a I'm going to give you the RTF model role task. So RTG role task goal roll task goal. So here's the act as a marketing manager of a major strategic company that's the role the task. Create for me a 30 day marketing plan. Goal to get at least 100 leads for my business. X My business is at this website. Put your website in and our social media is put your social media in. Create for me a 30 day guide to get a hundred leads for my business using carousels, using videos and using viral clickbait techniques to reach my target audience. Analyze my channels to make sure that I reach them intentionally. I don't remember everything on that. So you have to go back and re listen to it. But try that prompt out. And a tool you can try in the midst of all of that is a tool called Metro Cool. I like Metro Cool. I use Buffer and Metro Cool. But Metro Cool is really cool because Metro Cool allows you to upload to your Google Drive and actually connect it. But it's a social media scheduler. We're able to schedule out your posts, schedule out what you're doing, schedule out everything that you're going for to make sure you can schedule on your social media. And you can do a bunch of sites. I think they even have I think they have Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, all of that in there. So LinkedIn and Blue sky, all of that. So check out Metrocool.
