YouTube video by Justin R. Lester addressing whether Christians may listen to secular music. The speaker frames the question around two practical filters—who is the artist and what are they saying—emphasizing that listeners are shaped by the language and content they consume and urging wisdom and discernment rather than blanket prohibition. The clip closes with a standard creator call-to-action (like & subscribe).

You're gonna hate me for what I'm about to say. I often get the question, can Christians listen to secular music? I serve as a pastor in a church in California, and often I get the question, can we listen to secular music? Can we do this? Can we do that? Let me ask you two questions. Number one, who are you listening to? And number two, what are they saying? Because as much as you want to sit here and talk about those who are listening to secular music, we have Christian artists who have lifestyles that are contrary to what we read about in Scripture. So the question becomes, who are you listening to and what are they saying? The source is important, and the language you learn is going to help cope your prayer life. How you pray is a sum total of the things you hear throughout your day. So you I'm not telling you not to listen to secular music. I'm not telling you to listen to secular music. I'm not telling you to go around, listen to gossip music and CC music all day. I'm saying, be wise in what you allow to come into your heart, your mind, your spirit and your soul. You will become the words in the language you hear. Be careful what you let in. If you like content like this, be sure to like and subscribe. We have.
