Short YouTube talk by Justin R. Lester reflecting on whether Christians should use the Enneagram. The speaker frames the Enneagram as potentially helpful or harmful and offers three self-check questions: (1) Am I using it to define my identity? (2) Am I using it to excuse my sin? (3) Am I using it to minimize others? He concludes use may be appropriate as a tool if used rightly and closes with a Christian-focused call-to-action.

Should Christians chill out when using the Enneagram? Stay tuned to the end, because this one might not be what you think. For some, the Enneagram is God's gift to the church to help us understand how we are fearfully and wonderfully made. And to others, it's a worldly understanding of people that is quite harmful and for truly understanding others. So is it wrong to use it? Should Christians chill out on it? Well, here are three questions to ask yourself as you use it. Number one Am I using the Enneagram to define my identity? My identity is in Jesus, not a test. Number two Am I using an Enneagram to excuse my sin? And number three, Am I using it to make minimize others? Like I'm too good for eights or I'm not enough for sevens? Should Christians not use it? The answer to that question is maybe. Like any other tool we use, the Enneagram can be used in a way that's good and helpful or harmful and hopeful. Just like gold can be used to make a false idol or a wedding ring. The truth is in you and the truth is on you. Do you want more answers to questions like this? Well then like and subscribe and be happy in Jesus today and send this to an Enneagram user and give them truth to a question.
