Justin R. Lester explains why Claude and ChatGPT need different approaches. Claude handles long documents and complex reasoning better, while ChatGPT excels at quick drafts and brainstorming. Each requires distinct prompting with a clear role, defined task, and explicit constraints.

If you are using Claude, ChatGPT, the same exact way, you are insulting your time and your money and the tools you were given. Both of them have different builds, so you need different prompting. Here's my challenge here. Claude does really well with long documents and complex reasoning. Chat does really well with fast drafts and brainstorming and images. You can't do the same thing. So stop asking Claude for quick tweets and stop asking ChatGPT for an edit in history of the entire world. Use Claude for long documents. Use ChatGPT for generalized, generalized work. Here's what I need you to put in both of the prompts. Context prompting is king for both of them. Role, task, and constraints. Give them rules and give them good data. When you use a role, when you give them a goal and you give them constraints, I guarantee you Claude and ChatGPT will be something you can use on a whole nother level beyond what you're currently using it as. All right. Like and follow for more.
