So 2002, when we graduated from high school and we went to a scholarship academy at the Italian Community center. And I sat down and looked across the table and there was Courtney and her mother. And then there was a seat between us. And Courtney refuses to next to me. She always had this space, her personal space. Started making fun of me. Why did she want to sit next to me? Why did she want to sit by me? And that just was me trying to engage some conversation because there was something about her.
Loving one another is all that matters, All that I hope for a friendship.
That I never heard the end of it, like the whole entire night. So telling me how I moved away from him and all of this, and I was just okay, but I just felt in the bottom that we just stayed in touch. Ever since you were moving to Nashville.
Moving to Nashville. And then I had a 10 hour drive that Monday from Milwaukee to Nashville. And for about seven and a half hours I spoke on the phone and I talked to this girl before my entire life. We just spoke the entire time, just about everything. Like what Milwaukee was about, what life was about that kept us together. That as due seasons we grew, had our own ups and downs and lives as friends ended up blooming into something where told her in June that I liked her cheese. And then I actually met my girlfriend in July.
Ever since then, God has been blessing us like crazy. And I actually relocated to Nashville and that's where he proposed to us in the same spot we met when we first were in Nashville. So we're just like you love me.
Through all my imperfections. You know my heart is filled with nothing but good intentions. You are the one that told me long as we got us nothing matter. You are the one that sees the joy through the pain. You're my life through the rain here and now girl, I'm singing It's you, you're my heart it's you, you're that someone I can truly say that I'll never.
It's all about having the opportunity to rewrite scripts. And that's one of the things Jesus even teaches us all throughout the Gospels. So Courtney and I first met at the Starbucks in Green Hills. And while it was a small, private thing, when I actually married Mamie, I went back to that Starbucks in Green Hills because when we first met, it wasn't a very good story. I'm so grateful unto God now that more people that I was able to ask her to take that next step, to change the last name, to have children with her, to grow old together. And to really have that covenant, that promise with God, the promise for ourselves. I was able to rewrite. Able to rewrite that script. So now we're so excited about this next step in terms of this season of engagement and the new season of season.
We're just two imperfect people in love with each other.
But in love with the person.
I can be real with. You gotta be perfect, cuz Loving one another is all that matters. Not until we place. Believe me when I say that I found all of that.
