Justin R. Lester shows how to get ChatGPT to give you multiple perspectives at once by asking it to play several roles simultaneously. He walks through an example where a seminary professor, worship leader, nonprofit strategist, and therapist all teach Psalm 23, then offers one actionable insight each. Works for sermon prep, Bible study, and any writing that needs depth.

Figured out a way to stack rules in ChatGPT to get more out of it than you do. Google search before I give it to you, be sure you like and follow this page because you know I'm giving you the business for your business. All right, you ready? It's called role stacking and I want to show you what it is. So role stacking is like this. You don't just actually be T1 question. You tell it to access multiple voices at once and it forces the model to get different angles. And here's what the prompt looks like. It's right above me. So you're telling it to act as Rule 1, Rule 2, Row 3, Row 4, whatever, teach it whatever you needed to teach you for each perspective and break it down step by step. And what this role emphasizes, how this role will apply to real life and what's one key insight that's unique to this role. So for example, here's an example. I give you access to seminary professor, a worship leader, a non profit strategist and a therapist. Teach me Psalm 23 from each perspective and then give me one actionable website insight. Now the reason I think role stacking is so important is it moves from just giving you like act as one role, but you all and every person across the screen. You serve in multiple roles. You're not just one person. You're not static. So think about ways that you can utilize this role stacking to help you with your prompting. So act as act as a community activist, a pastor, a leader and a parent. Act as this, this, this. It'll help you think through the things. So think about this for your sermon prep, think about this for Bible study prep, think about this for emailing, think about this for communication. It's a way for you to enhance all the things that you do. Now if you want access to my full prompt lab, well I give you a free lab where you can actually play around with different prompt styles. Comment the word prompt and I'll send it right over.
