Short YouTube monologue by Justin R. Lester describing his early access to Google's new 'AI Mode' search experiment in Search Labs, comparing its functionality to Perplexity, demonstrating a live query about low-light houseplants, and expressing excitement about competition between Google and Perplexity (an 'AI war'). The clip is informal, conversational, and promotional (encourages trying Perplexity and subscribing).

Really like Google's AI studio. And this is kind of cool. So Google sent me an email a day ago saying, hey, there's a new AI Mode AI experiment happening in their search labs. That's happening because I have AI premium all in one Google suite. Whatever, they give you early access to it. So I got on the waitlist. Got off the waitlist. Kind of cool because you know, Manus still won't take me off their waitlist. So thank you Google for taking me off of your waitlist. P.S. manus, please give me access. Anyway, this is what Google is doing. I have a feeling it's the beginning of their AGI, but this is what Google is doing. It says, meet AI Mode, a new search experiment where you can get AI power responses, ask follow up questions, get more on the web. I don't really know what this all means, but let's see. So let's say house plants that improve air quality but don't need much light. My wife is really into houseplants. So let's see houseplants that. Let's see what it does. Consider my request searching the web. Oh, so it's Perplexity. So let's go to images. Oh, this is Google's challenge to Perplexity. You guys are seeing me do this in real time. So there you go. This is Google's Perplexity challenge. They're scared. I love it. You gotta try it. Go to Perplexity. But get ready for Google because if Google does this and this is really like their thing, we've got an AI war and I'm for it. Like and subscribe for the journey.
