A short YouTube video by Justin R. Lester arguing that hybrid worship (simultaneous online and in-person services) is essential for modern churches. Lester cites a statistic that 41% of Black churchgoers prefer hybrid worship, explains reasons (members unable to attend, online visitors preview churches), and offers three practical tips: invest in better streaming equipment, engage viewers in live chat, and follow up with online attendees. He closes with a call to action to adopt hybrid ministry and invites comments.

Did you know that 41% of black churchgoers prefer hybrid worship? So if your church isn't online, you're missing almost half of your people. Let's talk about it. My name is Justin Lester. I'm that tech pastor. I love to give you tips and tricks to keep your business going afloat, especially your church as well. Hybrid worship is offering both online, in person worship services. It's no longer an option. Digital ministry is another campus and it's essential. Here's why. Number one, some members can't always show up in person. But life happens. Sicknesses and travel and work schedules. Online worship keeps them connected. Two, New visitors are checking you out online before they even come into the door. If your live stream is grainy, boring and inconsistent, they're clicking off of you. Hybrid worship is not just about streaming your sermon. It's also about engagement. So it's not just about making the pastor look good. It's about showing where people fit in your church. So here's some things I want to suggest. One, Invest in quality streaming. Even a good camera and mic can take your service to another level. Number two, engage people in real time. Have someone in the chat welcome people, take prayer requests, encourage them to stay plugged in, and then thirdly, follow up with them. Treat your online members like they're members. Send texts, emails, surveys to check in after worship. We did this in Covid. Do it now. The world changed. The church has to move and be the prophetic institution it is. Meet people where they are, whether it's in the pews, on their phones or in the bathroom. And if your church is not embracing hybrid worship, start now. Like and subscribe and let me know in the comments. What's one thing that can improve your church's online experience. And we're here for the future.
