I hate my dad. And I'm not the only one to all the kids whose dads left them stand up. I have a broken, terrible, no good relationship with mine. He just abandoned and left us. And then God gave me a son and I had to do something different. When I realized that my relationship with my father, or lack thereof was affecting the way that I saw my son, I needed to change. My anger, frustration, pain in him was driving how I saw myself with syndrome how I saw my son. Can I give you three things? Your dad isn't God. Your dad may not provide for you, but you serve a God who is and your dad is human. And lastly, forgiveness doesn't mean reconciliation. When I forgive you, it doesn't mean I want a relationship with you. I go deeper into this in my podcast made for Mondays. The link is below. Have you struggled with daddy issues?
