A short spoken piece by Justin R. Lester arguing that AI should be treated as a teammate and assistant in local churches rather than a replacement for pastoral duties. He criticizes superficial uses of AI (automating sermon notes, scheduling posts, canned email replies) and promotes a paid masterclass on responsibly maximizing AI in church ministry.

Here's what I think everybody's missed about AI in the church. I see something all the time. Pastors are jumping on AI, thinking it's going to solve your problems. So they automate sermon notes, they schedule posts, and then they put a. They use it as a bad answer to some emails. And then they say, like, oh, we're innovative now. We're doing amazing things in our church. Here's what I think you're missing about AI in our churches. AI is not a tool. AI is not. Is not your shepherd. AI needs to be a teammate. It can't pray for people. It can't solve all your church issues. It can't sit at a hospital bed. It can't discern the spirit. It can't discern a moment in worship. We can't let this thing become your pastor without it seeing as a teammate and an assistant. And if we do this the wrong way, we're out of order. So I believe that AI is a valuable tool to local church, but it's gotta be used the right way. So, of course I made something to help us all out. I have a masterclass on AI in the church, and I would love for you to go ahead and grab a hold of it. I have some seats open for you. And what it does, it's not just about saving time, organizing your work. It's about amplifying our reach. It's about becoming better pastors, becoming better leaders, becoming better innovators, becoming more astute theologians while seeing this stuff real. So if you really want to do this and drive and dive into it, comment the word masterclass below and I'll send you a link to my AI masterclass, how you can maximize AI in the church the right way without losing your mind in the process.
