What if I told you the innkeeper in Scripture never existed? Do you ever think about that? There was no innkeeper. Really, What Mary and Joseph did is they went back to their hometown. They went back to their families. Their mama, their daddy, their aunties and their uncles. And the people who did not let them come in the house. Their family worst enemy is not some innkeeper we don't have a name for. Your worst enemy are the people that say they love you and don't want to be with you in your hard seasons. May you, like Mary and Joseph, create a space where you will not let Jesus us not come in the world because people don't like you. Go preach, go teach, go. Go share the gospel. Don't stop doing what God's called you to do because your family told you no. And then also don't make up an innkeeper so that you can feel comfortable covering for insecure people that didn't like your gift from today, huh? Merry Christmas. You like Chris?
