A short spoken reflection by Justin R. Lester attributing church conflicts to unresolved personal and spiritual struggles outside the church. He urges believers to bring frustrations to God, mature in their faith, and focus on building rather than fighting their church to find freedom and joy in Jesus.

Anybody else tired of church fights? I know I am. Well, I'll tell you where they come from. James tells us that church fights stem from wars we have outside of the church. The quarrels we have in church is because we're quarreling with ourselves and stuff and God outside of church. It gets to the point in your faith, walk with God, where you learn to grow up and fuss with God because we come to church and fuss with people because we don't bring our frustrations to God. The only person who can really bear all of you, the one who made you so you don't like everything in the will of God because the will of God isn't easy. But maybe the challenge is to build your church and not fight your church, have conversations with God outside the church. We quarrel because of the deep things within us. We can find freedom and joy within our churches and we trust the freedom and joy we have with Jesus outside of it. So today, live and grow up, fuss with God. You may have to walk with a limp, but you'll still be walking. Go be mature in Jesus today.
