A short YouTube talk by Justin R. Lester addressing common fears that AI will ‘take over’ churches. Lester argues AI will assist—helping with visitor follow-up, remembering prayer requests, and handling administrative tasks—rather than replace pastors or genuine connection, and urges churches to adapt rather than resist technological change. He directs viewers to a longer blog post (link in notes) and asks for comments, likes, and subscriptions.

All right, so let's talk about the unspoken fear in churches everywhere. And no, it's not Sister Johnson's secret Mac and cheese recipe. We know she doesn't want it. We don't need her to bring it back. I'm talking about technology now. I don't. I don't want all this, Pastor, because I heard if we use this AI stuff, it's going to take over our church. AI is not about to roll up to the pulpit and start preaching a revival. But here's what it will do. It'll help us follow up with visitors. It'll help us remember prayer requests. It'll help us handle administrative work so we can do the things that matter, like, you know, follow focus on ministry. See, AI isn't replacing pastors. It's assisting them. Digital tools don't replace connection. They enhance it. See, I believe Paul would have used AI if he had it. And you're not going to fight me on that. Let's stop treating change like it's the enemy. Read my full blog where I break down why stagnation is not and not technology is the real problem. The link is in the notes below. Actually, if you comment blog below, I'll send you a link right away. Let's get your churches ready for the future and like and subscribe for more.
