Prioritizing PEOPLE Over Money Matters!

This is a YouTube video titled "Prioritizing PEOPLE Over Money Matters!" created in May 2025. The content is a monologue or talk emphasizing the importance of valuing people and relationships over profit and money in business and life. It discusses the negative consequences of prioritizing money, such as burnout and broken relationships, and advocates for building trust and fair partnerships. There is only one speaker sharing personal insights and experiences, with no indication of a conversation or multiple participants.
Lets be real. Most systems today are built around one thing, and that's profit. And there's nothing wrong with profit until that becomes the only thing. You see it when companies burn out employees just to achieve quarterly results. You see it when landlords treat tenants as liabilities instead of seeing them as human beings with family. You see it when leaders are chasing clout instead of remembering the people that helped them get to the level of success that they're at now. That mindset of prioritizing profit or fame or notoriety is what creates isolation, burnout, and a transactional culture that leaves everyone feeling like money is the most desirable thing. And that's what should be prioritized. I can assure you that this is not going to be the path to living a great life and to being truly successful at a high level. Stepping over a dollar to pick up a penny makes absolutely no sense. And I see it happen all the time. And it usually comes from a place of having a broken mindset. When you are struggling financially, you can't really see the end goal. You can't think 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 steps ahead. You're only seeing the one step in front of your face, and that is, I need money today. So it is really hard when you're in that place to look past that. But it is so important to value people over profit. Putting people first doesn't mean you're a pushover. It means you have values. Creating spaces where your team feels safe, structuring deals that are fair to all parties. It doesn't have to be the buyer just beating up the seller. You can create win win situations where everyone walks away happy. And in return, you build trust and you attract the right people into your circle. See, I was on a team not too long ago where everyone had a role. We were all working together to close deals. And the person on the team, their role was to make calls and set appointments. And my role was to be the closer. That person got really frustrated with the end result, which was the money. They were frustrated that the money wasn't high enough and they wanted more money for the amount of properties that were being bought in the deal. They thought it was unfair. And the entire point of that challenge was for us to learn to work together as a team. And if the end result created a monetary value, that's just cherry on the top, right? And by that person choosing to focus on the money, they missed the bigger picture. And the bigger picture was building relationships with people on the team that could have been a springboard to us doing so. Many deals with each other in the future that could have created a lasting relationship where that person would have made hundreds of thousands of dollars. But guess what? Because they chose to focus on the money. Do you think I'm ever going to do another deal with that person again? Absolutely not. Name one time that you made money without another person involved. The entire world and capital system revolves around people, so you have to treat people with respect. You have to prioritize relationships over money. If you don't do that, you will not be successful. So the next time you're faced with a moral dilemma of choosing money versus a relationship, ask yourself, what would it look like to put that relationship first? What would it look like for me to choose money? If you choose money, that's it. It's the end result. You may not get into a dispute with the other person, just like I didn't, but that is the end result. You're never going to do another deal with that person. You're never going to get other opportunities, and eventually you're going to develop a brand, be known as the person who prioritizes money over relationships. And that's a brand that no one wants to associate with. However, on the other side, if you choose relationship, everybody is going to want to partner with you because they know that you have morals and values and that you're not going to screw them over the sake of making a few bucks. So think about that the next time you are faced with a decision to choose relationship or money.
