This is a YouTube video titled "What better results? Start tracking effort" containing a personal monologue recorded in July 2025. The speaker reflects on their fitness journey, emphasizing the importance of tracking progress to motivate improvement, sharing experiences with CrossFit and drawing parallels to incremental progress in real estate and business.
I haven't stepped on the scale in like four years. It's so interesting because what gets tracked gets managed. And it's so true. All I needed to do was step on the scale and realize I'm 15 pounds heavier than what I used to be in my head mentally. And that was the only motivation I needed to start working out again. And I'm doing CrossFit. So CrossFit is excellent in terms of getting in shape. But CrossFit is one of those sports or exercise regiments that if you're not careful, you can get hurt really easily. So people that can get hurt really easily are ex athletes and people that used to be at a high level of fitness and are out of shape, like me, that are trying to get back into it because you're thinking about your athlete days, you're thinking about what you used to be capable of doing in CrossFit or other. Other fitness, other fitness regimens, and now you're not at that level of fitness. So I have to dumb things down. For me, when I dumb things down, I have to really scale myself getting started. So what I'm doing today, I'm doing three thrusters, which is the movement that you just saw every minute on the minute for 10 minutes. And in my head, it's like, that used to be my warmup, and that's legitimately my workout. Like, my legs are hurting today. But you got to start very slow in order to scale up. And that's the same thing in real estate, it's the same thing in business. You just got to start slow and just incrementally make improvements daily.
