What I Actually Do All Day as a Realtor | Real Estate Vlog

Hey guys, what's up? It's Natalie. Welcome to or welcome back to my YouTube channel. Today you guys are spending the day with me. We have a couple of new construction showing appointments, which I'm super excited for. Sam already got my drink. For the day and dropped off Arabella. If you're new to my channel, hi, my name is Natalie Barnes. I'm a local realtor who specializes in new construction in Palm Coast. You're spending the day with me and I'm very excited. This week has been a little crazy for me. I had— I've had 3 closings and I'm just very tired, but I'm excited to go see some new construction homes. Don't forget to hit that subscribe button and let's Let's go! Wait, let me show you guys my outfit first. I'm opening the blinds first because it is dark in here. Okay, this is the fit. It's pants, kind of looks like a skirt though, but it's not. All brown. And then these are my new heels. I think they're really, really cute. Um, they're just like all lace, free toes. And then I'm pairing it with— I don't have it in here, but But I'm pairing it with my Louis Vuitton bag. But this is just so comfy and like breathable. Look how like big this is. So I think this is gonna be like a new fall fave. Also, I have to show you guys my planner because it is so cute. Actually, not my planner. I have to show you guys my iPad because it is so cute. I also redid my whole entire iPad to be like all fall and aesthetically pleasing. Okay, this is my iPad. It looks like this, and this is the front page. I wanted it to look very easy to use and to the point of what I use every day on my iPad. And then this is the second page, has my date right there. And then I love this picture of me, Kenny, and Arabella from 2 I want to say it was 2— maybe it was last year. I don't even remember when we did that, but it was so fun. But yeah, that is my iPad. I might do a video on how I did this, but it took me like an hour. I'm really into fall this year. Look at my nails. How fun are they? I thought they were really fun. But let me also show you guys, I went a little crazy on fall shopping this year. And I think that's okay honestly because I'd never go crazy, but we've been really trying to focus more on the house and yeah, let me show you guys. Sam's playing video games so excuse the noise, but I wanted to show you this. This is what it looks like. We got this, this is actually from Amazon. It's like 40 degrees out. There we go. Okay, this is actually from Amazon. I got that at Hobby Lobby, like the little candle warmer. Which should be on. There we go. I got this picture frame at TJ Maxx, I think. I think so. And then I got this at Hobby Lobby, I think, or Michaels. I got this at TJ Maxx. Sam got this on Amazon. We've had like this huge mirror, and then I also did a coffee bar station. Okay, that's like a little bit better. We did a coffee bar station right here, so I got these beautiful little flowers from Michaels. This is from the dollar section in Target. This is Bath and Body Works. I don't know where I got that. And then I did all fall flavors for my coffee, and then my coffee maker. And then this is like where all of our cute little fall stuff is. Picture from Italy, a little pumpkin, drinks, us. And I'm really happy I did this because it freed up So much room. Let me show you guys in our kitchen. Oh my eye! It freed up so much room in our kitchen. Oh, hold on. My crock pot is out. Let me put that away. Ta-da! Okay, this is what it looks like. Don't mind the peanut butter. That is for ladies' medication to help her be calm. We have to trick her with peanut butter and then. Sugar, and then I added those from the dollar section at Target. I will probably replace them just because they're not as sturdy as I want, and they have— they have sugar and flour in them. Banana bread, we got that from our sales rep when we moved in. Ew, don't look at that. That's really disgusting. Arabella's laxatives because she can't poop, and then the air fryer. Also got Tank— ooh, Tank this bed. I also got that basket to hold all of our blankets. And then over here, this blanket as well. Then I got this picture frame of me and Sam and this like flower pot. And then right here's my Legos that I built, and I'm really proud of them. I don't know where else to put them, and I know they're not aesthetically pleasing, but they're there. And then flowers Sam got me. We also— I don't know why I'm showing you guys all this because it's a day in my life and I'm just like doing a home tour at this point, but we also got new sheets and they are so comfortable. I have a really hard time falling asleep at night and I think it was because of the bedding, but let me show you our new setup. This I actually got off a TikTok shop. This is from Mellow Comforter, I think it's called. I don't know, I can link them in the description below. But then I got these jersey brown— ew, Sam's side does not look good. Oh well. These jersey dark brown sheets that look so good. I want to change this comforter out and just do like a duvet cover over this, which I can because I don't feel like this matches very well. But this is so comfortable. Our whole bed is so comfortable now. Now it's 9:50. We gotta go out the door because our appointment's at 10, even though it's right across the street. Let's go. For some weird reason, anytime I get into my car, it smells for like the first 5 seconds, and I don't know why. And I don't know why, because I never let Arabella leave like her shoes or socks in my car for that reason. And I remember when I was little, I would leave my socks, my shoes, everything in my mom's car, and that's how we knew where the smell was coming from. My car, I have no idea where it's coming from. Something I literally absolutely hate is when I'm driving and I see a neighbor and I go to wave And they don't even wave. It's like I was being kind. I was being so kind. Anyways, we're literally going— do they have chickens? Oh no, that's a playhouse. I thought that was like a little chicken coop. I was gonna say, oh my god, we can have chickens in our neighborhood. Not saying I would ever have chickens in our neighborhood. Like, we would not because I— the chirping would drive me up the wall. Not trying to be negative. Ew. Ew. I'm being so negative right now. I just know I could not handle chickens, and that's just me. All right, we're pulling up to the model now, so I will see you guys in a second. Okay, so we are heading— I'm like literally sweating, it's so hot out. We're heading to our next neighborhood. We saw 2 homes here and we are— let me back up and see if I can go around. And it's like right down the road, so it's not that bad. Um, but we saw 2 homes here. They liked the second one that we saw, and the first one didn't really have a backyard and it was 5 bedrooms, and even though, yeah, the space is nice, it's just not— they'd rather have a backyard, which is completely understandable because they have kids. So we're gonna go to the next neighborhood. I'm super excited for it because it's Dream Finders, and we'll see what they think. Let's go! Second appointment! You'd be like mid-6s. Mid-6s, yeah. Okay, I'm just now getting home. Appointments went okay today. Now I'm going to Target because I'm meeting someone that wants to buy one of my bags that I don't use anymore, so I'm picking up— I'm picking up Sam, and he's coming with me because I don't like going alone to those kind of things. Anyways, we're home. Oh my goodness, this is what I'm selling. Okay, finally home. I'm gonna go upstairs and do some work. I'm in my comfy shoes, and I just ordered some lunch. I ordered Chinese food, and we are gonna go do some emails and then follow up with clients today and then send other clients some homes. You know what I wish my office I wish I had a big giant chair, like a lounging chair, so I could literally sit up here and have lunch and just be away from everyone. Um, but I don't know if it would fit. Let me show you where I even put it. I would put it right here, but let me show you too. This is how much room I have. So would a chair fit? Also, I still haven't done that. That was supposed to be my wedding flowers in that like little frame right there. I don't know if a big chair would fit. I don't know, what are your thoughts? My food came and then I just got an email saying that my commission checks are ready for pickup. So after this, after I'm done eating, I'm gonna head to my office Grab those, go to the bank, cash them, put them into my account, and then we're Gucci. Also, on Friday I'm getting my hair done, and even though I love this bob, it's very cute, I miss my hair extensions. So we're putting those back in my— okay, let me show you guys what I got. I am obsessed with this Chinese place, and I get White rice, and then I get this chicken garlic chicken. Well, it's called garlic sauce chicken. I never use any of these sauces. What even is this? Oh, it's mustard. Do people put mustard on soy sauce? I know people put mush mustard on Chinese food. See if I could do this without. Spilling anything. But normally, because this is like a lot of food, I will put a little bit of rice and then I will put some of the food into my bowl. This all up. And that way I don't have the need— I don't feel the need To like finish all this. But this sauce is so— I like anything with garlic. This sauce is like so addicting. Everything is so hot. Normally I sit at my table, my dining room table, and eat this, but today we are in my office, so I'm trying to be very careful and not spill anything. But it has like mushrooms, these like little baby corns that I love. Garlic, onions, peas. Okay, I think I'm gonna start— this is like burning my hand. I think I'm gonna start with this, and then if I have to add more, I will. Hello, playing some Wolverine. Wolverine finally came out. Oh, you're taking a broccoli? Oh, that was like the best part. I think I'm done, and I don't really want this left over. Like I think my obsession with this just came to an end, to an end. And I get like that a lot when I like hyper fixate over one meal. I always want it. But I was as I was eating the chicken, I was like, this was good, but I think I'm over it now. So I'm gonna eat my fortune cookie and see what it is. Let's open it up, see what it says. Wow, it says, a helping hand will have you when you need it. Whatever. All right, let me see if Sam wants the rest of this. Sure. Yeah, it has rice and a whole thing. What I'm gonna do is finish watching this YouTube video and then head to My brokerage and finish, and finish the work day, but I just want like 10 minutes of doing absolutely nothing and then we'll go. I feel like this whole September, like the first 2 weeks of the month, my brain has literally been on like survival mode because I had the 3 closings and— Um, I had the 3 closings and I was just trying to make sure everything stayed extremely organized and on time with the builders. There was 2 different builders and I felt like although I was able to close everything successfully, I always think there's room for improvement, but specifically I felt like With one of my deals, even though I was putting 115% into that deal, there was stuff that wasn't even like in my hand that I could not control. And it bothered me that I couldn't control it because I was trying to keep on track with the timeline we were given in the first place, and things just kept getting delayed. Construction got delayed and the fixes got delayed. And it's like, it's hard. And people think being a realtor is easy, and it's not, because you have to micromanage so many people that are older than you, more experienced than you. And it's like you're just trying to be a voice for someone who has no idea what's going on, which is normally the client, and also please the client in getting them every single thing that they want, even if it's like little minor It's just really, really hard sometimes, and I feel like after— I feel like today was the first day I was able to be like, okay, we're good. We can focus on the next thing and not be go, go, go stressed out about closing or anything. So that being said, I'm very excited to go pick up my commission check. Oh my gosh, I'm so excited! I'm not in a good mood because I was supposed to get 3 checks and I only got 2 checks. And apparently the builder, even though it closed on Tuesday last week, never sent my check out. And I'm leaving on Thursday to drive down south. I'm just Pissed because I would have liked that check into my account. So that means I'm gonna have to come back up here to pick it up. God only knows when it's ready for pickup. It's just really annoying because it closed over a week ago. Actually, no, it closed a week ago. So. Well, now that I'm in a bad mood, I mean, it's still a good amount. So this one is $5,619.73, this one's $12,477, and I think the other one's like around $15,000. So I mean, it is what it is. I'm just like really, really aggravated. So I just got off the phone with the sales agent saying where is my check, and she has no idea, so she's calling title. So I'm just really pissed off. So I'm gonna go to— I'm right now at the bank. I'm gonna go deposit this and try not to be in a bad mood. I mean, it's like $18,000 I have, but it's still not the amount that I thought I was getting, which is really depressing. So anyways, let's cash these. Okay. Just to cash my checks. It's about it's about eighteen thousand. But what I'm more mad about is the fact that the builder didn't send or whatever. I don't know. I can't get an answer on what happened to my check. So now I just have to wait. It's a waiting game because. Once again, out of my control. Very grateful for the $18,000, but just super mad that it was my first deal I closed of the month and still no check. No follow-up, no, hey, why didn't you cash it? No nothing. So now I'm heading home. I think I'm gonna go pack. I am picking up my daughter now from school because I feel like she would put me in such a good mood. But I wanted to end the vlog out here.
