Welcome to the Get a Six-Figure Job You Love and Thrive Podcast. This is episode 155, Creating Multiple Opportunities. Welcome to the Get a Six-Figure Job You Love and Thrive Podcast, where I, Natalie Fisher, am teaching you weekly how to land your premium role that you love and thrive in it. Let's go. Hello. Hello. So today I want to talk about creating multiple opportunities, why some people do and some people create none, and kind of how things work when it comes to opportunities. And there's a few observations I have. The first thing I thought about was real estate agents, and I saw an article about real estate agents and how some of them get all the business and some of them get zero, right? And And I started thinking about like this book called The 80/20 Principle and how that kind of works to fit into that category. It's like, it's like 20% of the real estate agents get 80% of the business. And then there's 80% of real estate agents that are not doing so well. Right. And I kind of feel like it's the same way with job seekers, people in a particular field. Right. So there's going to be People who are getting constant opportunities and people who aren't. And of course I'm all about mindset, so I know it comes from within. It's something that comes from within somehow. It has to be a thought created, creating a feeling. And then the way that you're vibrating, the way that you're feeling is putting that out there. Not saying you have to feel great all the time, that's okay. But you can shift, like realize that you're not feeling great or you're feeling demotivated, anxious, or whatever. And then you get to shift back into feeling into the place where you can— Attract multiple opportunities, right? So it got me thinking. I get opportunities all the time. Like people are pitching me for opportunities. They're like, "Hey, we'd like to interview for this position," or like I got an email the other day for a recruiter position, and I thought, like I'm like, "Yeah, that's just that's just always kind of happened since I was doing networking back in 2014, and I got these three competing job offers, and then it kind of like I built my professional network from there, and people are always just." Like that's always happening. And I just didn't really think anything of it, but then I had mentioned something about it and I was like talking to one of my friends and I was like, oh yeah, I got this opportunity. Maybe you're interested in it. I'll forward it to you. And she's like, oh sure. And then I, and then she's like, wait, why did they think you would be good for that? And I was like, you know, I don't really know. I mean, I'm like, I'm listed as a coach. I don't have any keywords that suggest that I would be interested in a recruiter position or a marketing position or whatever, but, but somehow those opportunities still show up. From time to time, and like that's just kind of how my life has been. And I think it's the belief; it's just like oh yeah, and a belief is like a thought you no longer think, right? Because I didn't even really think about this. I was just like yeah, opportunities are always coming because I believe that they're plentiful. I believe that they're always there, right? And even when I was young and I was sixteen and I got my first job, I like walked right into the place where somebody had said one of my friends at school had said oh yeah, we're working at the at the Costco giving out free samples. They're looking for people. Why don't you come in? and talk to the lady, Louise. And I did that and I was hired super quickly after that. And then after working there for a little bit, realized I didn't like it. And then my dad had presented me with like 3 or 4 new opportunities. He's like, oh, you can work at this grocery store, you can work here, you can work here. And maybe it was just the way that he had said it. He was like, oh yeah, like you can just go there. You just have to talk to the manager and you just have to tell them that you're available to help. And then that's what I did. So then I switched to a different job in a grocery store and that was good for a while. And so it's just always kind of been like that. It's like opportunities are everywhere. People who have access to opportunities are everywhere. They're within my reach. They're always around me. They're always here. It's like, it's never been a thing that I've questioned or found a problem with. Right. So of course people are still coming to me for opportunities and they want to see if I want to interview for like a marketing specialist position or something. And I'm like, no, I'm, I do my own marketing and I love that, but I'm not like looking for a full-time role to do someone else's marketing, right? But it's just interesting how that stuff becomes true, right? So it's like when you believe that multiple opportunities are plentiful, that job offers are everywhere, that it's easy to get this stuff, that is what you see, right? And so that's the power of the mindset and the mirror image that happens from inside me that is mirrored back to me. So what I realize happens with my clients who receive multiple offers is three big things. First, they are available for multiple offers, right? They they see that as something that's happening that could happen. Like they they see that as a possibility, right? And for them to see that, they can't be in scarcity, right? So they're not in scarcity; they're in abundance. They're think they they have that possibility in their head, and they just know that that's a thing. So. A couple of my clients this week have been experiencing multiple offers and it happens quite a bit, not all the time, but quite a bit. And then I'm just wondering, okay, well, what is it that these clients are doing? How are they thinking? How are they vibrating? What are they feeling in order to bring in these multiple offers? So one is you have to be open, available for it, right? And for that, you can't be in scarcity. So if you have scarce thinking, like, oh, the market is really tough right now, in this market it's gonna be so hard. Like I saw somebody post, she was doing a live. She's like, I'm going to post for 90 days on LinkedIn just to show how realistic, like what's realistic for getting a job in this market. And she's like, I put 90 days as a goal for fun, but let's face it, it's probably going to take much longer than that because who am I kidding? And that's her mindset that she's already set up, which is totally scarce. It's total scarcity mindset that she's basically setting up for herself. She's giving herself a preview of what to expect because she said that to herself. And then she's put it out there like, this is difficult. This is going to be really hard. This market is really tough. So then that's what she's going to see showing up. It's going to be harder. So people who receive multiple offers in a fast amount of time, they are available for that. They're available for receiving multiple offers. And they don't think that is some extraordinary, amazing, crazy thing that almost never happens. They just know that that is of course probably going to happen, right? It's like, yeah, I'm probably going to get more than one offer, right? The second thing is they feel in demand, right? They feel that feeling of in demand, and in demand is a feeling. So when you're feeling in demand, the thoughts that you probably think are things like, I know what I have to offer is really valuable. I know that people will want to pay me highly for what I have to offer. My skills are worthy of large amounts of money. Like, I deserve to be paid high salary. I can align with organizations that can easily afford to pay me that high salary, right? They feel in demand. And they know that what they do is valuable and that lots of people would want their skill, would want their brain on the problems that they're solving right now, right? So, they feel in demand. So, and notice that again, if you are feeling in demand, you can't be feeling scarcity at the same time, right? So, you can't be thinking, oh my God, what if I never get an offer? To, oh, everyone thinks I'm really valuable and of course I'm going to have people wanting to offer me positions, right? Like, you can't be thinking the same thing. At the same time. So those are like, and scarcity just gets in the way so much. It blocks us so much. Right. And the trick is not to like try to push it down and ignore it. It's to kind of invite it up and be like, okay, I realize that this is a thing my brain is offering, this scarcity thinking. And it's normal for it to offer it, but it's not serving me in this situation. And it's not Real. It's an illusion. Like scarcity is an illusion to the brain, just like somebody who's in really, really scarcity feelings would say that abundance is an illusion, right? Because if we look around, we can see scarcity or we can see abundance with anything that we're looking at, right? So we can have the mind of opportunities are plentiful, offers are plentiful, people are getting hired every day, organizations are making huge jumps every day, new startups are forming every day, new positions are opening every day, people are leaving positions every day, new ones are opening every day. Like, we can have that mindset, or we can have the mindset of it's going to be so hard. The economy is really tough right now. Look at all those people that got laid off. Look at how challenging it is for this, this, and this person. Oh, my friend here is having a hard time. My friend here is having a hard time, and he's so skilled, and she's so skilled, and she's still having a hard time. Like, we can look and harp on that stuff, or we can look for that other evidence of the abundance, right? So it's really the The scarcity versus the abundance thinking and which one you're choosing on a day-to-day basis, right? And the trick is you wanna have so much abundance, like you wanna see abundance everywhere, right? So it's like you could look out the window and see like the abundance of leaves on the trees. It's like there's no shortage of it, right? Like the abundance of water on the planet, there's no shortage of it, right? The abundance of money in the world, there's no shortage of it, right? It's the same thing. Like we can see and focus and look at that stuff, or we can go to our scarcity little bubbles where we feel more comfortable because that's probably where we've grown up, right? Always like the lack mentality, the, will we have enough? Like, is this going to be enough? Right? And so that's a choice that we make day to day over and over and over when we start thinking about it. Right? And recently I was on a coaching call with one of my clients and that the scarcity comes up a lot. Like we coach on scarcity a lot and I bring them back into abundance all the time because it's like, that's the truth. Like that's your truth now. It's like abundance is your truth. That is what you get to live. That is what you get to have. That is what you get to decide. Right? And that's Very hard for a lot of people to get to that point. And it is a mindset that needs to be practiced. And we need to kind of confirm with our brain and remind our brain that that is how things are and that is how things get to be for us. And a good trick that I was using, and this is something that I coached on inside my program, was that most of us have always been taken care of, right? Most of us have always had a roof over our heads. We've always had enough food to eat. We have had always something come through at the last minute if we needed something. We can Panic and be scared that it's not going to come. And then normally it always comes through, right? Like, so we can look back and see our evidence for how we've always been taken care of. We've always had money. Something's always come through. We've always figured it out. No matter what we had to do, we had a creative solution. We figured it out in a stopgap for one, until we had the thing we wanted come through. Like, if you look back at that evidence of your life, you have always had— What you needed. You've always been taken care of, right? And I don't want to generalize and say that that's everybody listening because maybe not. And I know that my mom grew up in extreme poverty and she definitely didn't have that. Like sometimes she's like, yeah, I don't know if we were going to eat the next day. I literally didn't know, like as a kid. So that can be something that you struggle with if that was really your situation. Most of my clients who I have worked with have not had that, but it's just the brain's natural response. Like, oh, we must protect our resources. We must hang on tight. Like, what if we don't? What if we can't? What if, what if, what if in a bad way? Like, what if sentence always ends in the, you know, not the best scenario, right? So it's really wiring that abundance mindset every single day, right? And like all the time being like, I'm willing to see this differently. I'm willing to see the different possibilities. I'm willing to open up to a new way of thinking on this and seeing abundance. So those are the 3 things. So let's recap. The first one is being open to that possibility of multiple offers and being open to the possibility of that not being a big deal. Like multiple offers come in, it's not a big deal. That happens. It happens to a lot of people. And the reason that it happens to the 20% versus the 80% that you probably see on LinkedIn posting about how they've been having issues for months is because the 20% of people know how to manage their mind and steer themselves towards abundance. The second one is feeling in demand, right? So that's feeling you being valuable. What you offer is valuable. The work you do is valuable. The impact you have is valuable, right? And that is what'll cause you to turn down offers that are not gonna make you happy, right? Offers that you're gonna resent later on, offers that you're gonna say, hey, why did I even accept this? This sucks and I really deserve more, right? You don't wanna be in a position where you're in such scarcity mindset that you are like, oh, I have to take this offer because if I don't take this offer, then nothing else is ever coming along. And who knows if I'll be able to eat tomorrow, right? Which, if that's you, like, if that's really you, then fine. But in many cases, it's not like that. It's just the scarcity thinking that's holding you into settling for something. So feeling in demand. And then it's just the overall umbrella of, are you choosing scarcity or are you choosing abundant thoughts on a daily basis? What are you choosing? How, like, minute to minute, are you shifting your brain when your brain wants to have a scarce Thought, or a thought that causes anxiety, or a thought that causes fear. Right? You can be like, no, I understand you're trying to protect me. That is not my truth. I get to decide. I get to decide there's abundant opportunities for me. I get to decide that my work is valuable. I get to decide that how things are going to be for me in my career. Right? And you get to steer yourself through that all the time. Right? You do not have to take on other people's thinking. And this is like the biggest obstacle that we will face is other people's thinking, other people's limited negative, like. Thinking that wants to literally grab you and bring you down, and that will be happening all the time. Right? So that's where you need to really stay decided in how things are going to be for you, and then you get to be the example of how things are, and then other people will follow you. They'll be like, "Oh, okay. Well, I see that you did that. Maybe that is possible for me." Right? Instead of you going down to their level to say, "Oh, you're right. It's so hard. You were right. Oh my God, you're right." So it's always going to be one or the other. You're either going to go down to their level, or they're going to rise up to your level, and you get to decide how. things are going to be for you. So those are the 3 overall themes of the multiple offers, attracting abundance, attracting multiple offers, and just knowing that that's a thing that happens every day. Every day people get multiple offers, and it's not the majority of people, but it's the people who have the right thinking because they're mirroring that out, right? So if you think— if one of your thoughts is, oh yeah, getting multiple offers is a thing that happens to me, and that, like, you believe that, you can get on board with that, that will be something that you attract. Right? And just like for me, it's like, oh yeah, opportunities are plentiful. They're everywhere. There's always someone who wants what I do. Like that is reflected back to me, right? So it's just the power of your mind, the power of those individual little sentences that you're thinking every day and how they are vibrating, how that is getting put out there into the world, right? It doesn't mean you have to feel good all the time. Like I said in the beginning, you're a human being. You're not going to feel great all the time. That's okay. Acknowledge it. See it like a little kid when they're not feeling great. What do you tell them, right? Like it's time Temporary. I get to shift this. I'm willing to see this differently, right? And sometimes if you really can't get out of it, then you gotta process some of it. But notice that your thoughts create those feelings. And sometimes we just get stuck into negative thought loops, and there's nothing wrong with that. Of course, I have been stuck in negative thought loops before, and I figure out my way out of them, and I am stronger and more elevated because of it. And now I know how to get myself outta that thought loop if it happens again, right? And I'm constantly upleveling, upleveling, upleveling my thinking. So you can do that too. I recently did a free training called Abundant Opportunities, Multiple Offers. You can get the link to that in the show notes that will be accessible for you if you wanna watch it right now. And then I've got some special bonuses for you when you wanna join inside the Six Figure Curriculum. And I'm creating some new bonuses, new bonus meditations, which I'm really excited about to help you uplevel your thinking. So this is something that's been in the works for a while. Just like you love listening to this podcast, I've got some. It's a private podcast inside the Six Figure Curriculum, and we have some meditations that are going to be in there with different subjects. So definitely there's going to be an abundance meditation, and for each module there's going to be a meditation that is going to help you get your mind grounded in the right place so that you can start attracting that stuff that you want. And it's kind of like our own little bubble in there, like our own little bubble of this is how we get to do the job search. This is how we get to be. This is what happens for us. This is This is how it is, right? Whereas the outside world is just really chaotic and miserable and really depressing sometimes. So if you get caught looking on LinkedIn for those posts that say people have been struggling forever and those posts that get so many shares, don't get caught up in that. They are not inside this program. They haven't hired a coach. They haven't done the mindset work to get to the point of abundance yet. So of course, that's what they're seeing on their life on the outside. That's their experience, and that's okay. They just, that's how the brain works. They're just not using their brain as well as we could. So that's what I got for you today. I greatly appreciate you listening to the podcast. Tune into that training. It's the best one I've ever done, and I will see you next week. Hey there, thanks for listening.
