24 Jul 2023 · 21 min
Natalie Fisher explains alignment as the state where your thoughts, emotions, and actions match a clear goal. She bought a house in two days and got multiple job offers by using a framework: define what you want, address your fears, choose thoughts that feel good, and work with a coach to maintain the mindset.

Welcome to the Get a Six-Figure Job You Love and Thrive podcast. This is episode 158, Getting into Alignment. Stay tuned. Welcome to the Get a Six-Figure Job You Love and Thrive podcast, where I, Natalie Fisher, am teaching you weekly how to land your premium role that you love and thrive in it. Let's go. All right. So today I'm really excited about this topic. It's called Getting into Alignment. So a great mentor of mine once told me, it doesn't take time, it takes alignment. And I've seen that to be true in my manifestations and the things that I've created and the goals and the focuses. Everything that I've done has happened a lot faster when in alignment. And so I'm going to get into the process of how I get in alignment, how you can get in alignment, what alignment means, and how when we're in alignment, you can Create things that some people might say miracles, right? But really they're not; they're just a process of the alignment. So like me getting my house, I believe that was a totally aligned manifestation because it happened literally over two days. Me meeting my husband, I'm just gonna call my husband now because basically he is. That was a really aligned manifestation. Me getting the three job offers that I got, and then every job offer I got after that, it's like the job offers have been pretty much in alignment for me. And business-wise has taken sometimes more time to get into. alignment with business for me. But once I figure it out, it kind of clicks and then it goes and then it works. So that's what I want to talk to you about today. Really excited because you can manifest things in a certain amount of time. You can do them quickly and they don't have to take time. And then I also want to say, if something does take you more time, it's okay. There is a thing in the Course in Miracles that says those who are certain of the outcome can afford to wait and wait without anxiety. Right? That's why I always wonder when people say they're getting impatient, it's like, okay, there's always something there that's blocking you that is, that is causing you to doubt. And the impatience comes from fear of thinking it won't happen, right? It's like, well, if I could just have it now, then I could relax, right? So that actually blocks your alignment. It's not like when you're feeling rushed and when you're feeling in a hurry, when you're feeling impatient, that's not alignment. Right? That's not what it feels like, at least not to me. Okay, so what does alignment mean? Alignment means you're focused on the outcome you want. You know what you want, and you know it's done. Like it's already done, and you're just walking out the steps to get it. So it's like it's done in the spiritual plane. It's like you know it's done in the physical plane, and you're walking out the steps on the physical to get it. Okay, and so the problem that most people have is first of all, a lot of people are not. Really clear on what they want. So the universe can't deliver it as, as precisely when you're not really sure what you want. If you're wishy-washy about it, if you're like, oh, maybe I want this and maybe I want this, I'm not really sure, I hope this works out, but maybe if it doesn't, it's okay, let me— this— so it's like, if you're wishy-washy, it's harder for you to create what you want. The more specific you are, the more emotion you can have behind that, and the more feeling. And that's what I'll get into, is the feeling is really the thing that creates the thing. And I'll share an example of this. It's like, if say you want attract a partner, you want to attract someone like the love of your life, for example, and you're just like, yeah, I want to just attract someone really great, and that's your outcome, that's your goal. Maybe you're like, I want him to be tall and handsome, and that's as specific as you get. Like, that is one thing, right? If you— and, and like, that can only really go so far as far as the feelings that it creates in your body, right? It could be like, okay, I want him to be like— and this is like the specific version of it— I want him to sure be tall and handsome, but that's not the most important part. What I really want is for him to be a good human. I want him to do what he says he's going to do. I want him to have done some work on himself, perhaps. I want him to have gone to therapy or have worked with a coach before. I want him to be close with his family. I want him to, to want to have kids. I want him to— like, these, these specific things then make you picture a life with this person, which then make you feel something, right? That can make you feel something more than just like, oh yeah, I just want to attract my partner and I want him to be tall and handsome, or just I want to just attract somebody, right? Just somebody, right? So it's like the more specific we get, the better we can get into alignment, the easier it is going to be to get into alignment. So that's from my experience, right? And if you don't know what it is yet, like a lot of people are like, I don't know, and like you're all scattered. And if you're all scattered, the likelihood is you are attracting a whole bunch of scattered things to you. So you might be attracting a whole bunch of different opportunities to you. If you're not sure of one thing, and maybe there's nothing wrong with that because you're still figuring it out, but you can actually get in alignment as you figure it out too. So that's one of the problems is people get scattered. They don't really, they're not really clear on what they want. Like if I was to go up and ask somebody on the street, like, what do you really, really, really want with your life? Like 99% of people are going to be like, I don't know. Which is crazy, right? Like they just have no idea. They don't know what they can have. They don't know what options they have. They're just following a path. From, you know, their parents or their friends or the culture that they're in. They actually haven't really decided for themselves. So knowing is number one. Secondly, the problem that people have is if they do, they don't even really give it a chance normally because they think it's not going to be possible, or a whole bunch of doubts come in. And a lot of the times people don't give their real desires a chance to even exist, right? A lot of the times people say, well, I don't know what I want, and Maybe we'll coach on it, and it turns out they do know what they want, but they just don't think they can have it right now, or they don't think they can make enough money at it, or they don't think that it's possible where they are, or they think it's going to be years down the road. And so they haven't even given it a chance yet. So if there's something that you really want to do, and you know in your heart that's really what you want right now, there's a reason for that. It's your safe guidance. You're supposed to go after it. So. A lot of doubt comes in, and it— the doubt blocks your alignment. It blocks getting into alignment. So why it exists is because our brains want to protect us. They want to keep us safe. They don't want us to go do scary things that might threaten our existence, because that's how our brains work. They're designed to work like that. They're supposed to work like that, right? So they're like, oh no, don't go pitch yourself to that company, because if you do that, then you could be disappointed and you could feel like you're going to die and it could be a really bad idea, right? That's just primitive brain speaking, right? Like lower brain, animal brain, right? And it works and it's supposed to work like that for if, you know, we're in real danger, but we're not normally in real danger. We're not normally in physical danger. And so it gets in the way, right? So that's the doubt, the doubt and the worry and the fear. It all gets in the way from becoming, from getting in alignment because it clogs the energy. So how do we try to solve for it? So sometimes what we'll try to do is we'll try to push the doubt and fear away and we'll be like, oh, I shouldn't be worried about this. Like it, It's fine. Like, and I kind of think of it as like a child who's scared of something legitimate because to your brain it's very legitimate. It's like, well, I could be disappointed, I could fail, and that could be humiliating or terrible, right? So it's like if you picture a child, they're like gonna go do something scary and they are afraid they're gonna fail. Talk to yourself like you would that child, right? So for me, I might say, hey, I totally understand you're scared. It's totally valid. What's the worst that can happen? Like, it's probably not gonna be that bad, right? What's the best that can happen? Kind of talk to yourself through how you might talk to that child instead of what we mostly do is just either avoid it, procrastinate on it, not do it, or just kind of sell ourselves short on, you know, the aligned ideas that we might get, right? So you might get an idea that's like, oh, I should go do that because I really want to do that. And then your brain will be like, oh no, no, no, wait, because that's not going to work. Because what if you get shot down? What if it doesn't work? What if you fail? What if you're embarrassed? Blah, blah, blah, right? And that is how we sabotage our dreams. That's how we sabotage alignment. It doesn't work, right? So that's how we try to cope with it, is we normally just like shut it down, try to make it go away, try to say we're like, that's it. Instead, I want you to just feel the compassion for yourself like you would a child and be like, yes, I understand. I understand you're scared. That's normal. This could be scary. What are the reasons why you would want to do it? What are the reasons why you might regret if you don't do it? What are the best things that could happen? Right? And like kind of talk to yourself with compassion. For the fear, but also with that higher knowing of like, this is ultimately what you want to do is you want to live a life where you go after the things you want, not a life where you're living and kind of driven by that fear. Right. And it's normal. So all of it is like, fine, but we get to manage it and we get to do the work on our minds so that it gets easier and easier and easier to go after those things and not have to worry so much about what might happen because our resilience increases and we end up being able to handle so much more. So Why it doesn't work to try to shut the fear down is because it's still going to be there. So unless you have that conversation with yourself, you know, like you would have with a child, the fear will still be there, right? And it might come down to the point where you're like, okay, I'm scared and I'm going to do it anyway, right? And that's fine too. But if you keep shutting it down, you might end up just kind of feeling bad about yourself for feeling it. And there's no reason for that because that's normal. This is just your normal— your brain is working how it's supposed to work. Okay, so That's the process that a lot of people miss, like a step that a lot of people miss. And I do that with myself all the time. I'm doing scary things and I'm like, it's okay. Like I talk to my inner child and this is something that works for you. You might do it some different way and it's okay. So what ultimately gets created when you are pushing down the fear or when you're avoiding or when you're ignoring or when you are not like making that decision? Because like I talked to you in the beginning about not having decided what you want, that's also a fearful thing, right? It's like, well, I'm scared if I pick the wrong thing. And then, you know, you walk yourself through that. It's like, what's the worst that can happen? Yeah. You pick the wrong thing. Okay, so then you pick something else, right? Like what ultimately created is stunted growth, stagnation. You don't actually end up going after what you want. You don't actually end up doing the things you want to do in your life, right? You don't end up using your entire capacity in your life. You don't end up seeing what you're made of, right? So the alternative solution, and to me this has been coaching, it has all been coaching. is to learn how to walk yourself through the parts that are scary. And getting yourself into alignment means that you are in flow. You know what you want, you know what to do next, you know that it's done in the physical plane or in the spiritual plane, and you are walking yourself through it in the physical plane. And you know that that's what's happening, and you know that that's what is already done for you. And you just do it. You just take the steps until you get there. And so when I'm in alignment, which is most of the time, I'll just do something and then I'll be very quick to evaluate results and I'll be like, oh, I'm curious. I'm like, see how that worked? Oh, see how that works? See how that worked? Right? And so, and if it's, and if I see that it's not getting the results that I want right away, I don't get disappointed anymore. I get curious immediately and I'm like, oh, interesting, huh? Okay. I guess I need to do this, this, or I could do this, this, or, oh, okay. And then just like the ideas get to come in, right? And I get to say that the guidance is there. The guidance is coming. It's always easy, right? I get to say that to myself, right? And like, It's always easy is is a thought that I like to choose sometimes. So what we say and think comes into our life. So a lot of things do become easier when I say that. So I get like to say this to myself. I'd like to say it gets to be easy. It gets to be obvious. The next steps get to be clear. I'm just walking it out. It's done, right? And that to me makes me feel like that gets me very aligned. So inside my six-figure curriculum, I'm actually doing an entire class on alignment, and I'm walking through these steps in more detail. But here I'm just going to give you kind of the gist of it is to get. In alignment, you need to choose thoughts that feel good to you, okay? And you need to do that as often as you possibly can. And when doubt, fear, worry— those things come in, you can do the process where you walk yourself through them, but then you also shift yourself out of them, right? And there is an art to shifting quickly, and you can get better and better and faster at shifting Every time it happens, because this is what happens all the time, right? Doubt, fear, worry come into our lives all the time. And I was just thinking, like my daughter, she has no worries. She has no fears. She has no like she's always in the moment. Like she's always been taken care of. Her every need has always been taken care of. She is always like physically fine. All she knows is like if she's feeling uncomfortable or she's feeling hungry or she's feeling tired, right? Then she'll cry and she'll be fussy and whiny. But she's not afraid of the future, right? She's just there feeling her feelings, right? And I was just thinking, wouldn't it be beautiful? Because really, as far as this goes for me, my worst fears have not come true. Like, like not really. And if they have, I've like made them come true. Like I do remember in high school once I really didn't want this guy to break up with me and I was afraid of it. And I just kept saying, oh, he's going to break up with me. He's going to break up with me. And then I kept acting in ways that would make him, you know, that would repel him. And he broke up with me, right? So. It's like if your worst fears come true, it's probably because you had something to do with it. And I'm not saying always, right? And you get to choose however you want to think about it, right? But my worst, worst, worst fears, and so for some of my clients, they might be like, oh, well, I'm running out of money. What if I don't have money to feed myself? I'm like, they're afraid they're going to end up living in a box on the street. That never comes true. It's like those things that we worry about, they hardly ever come true. The truth is, We have been supported. We have been cared for. We have had money come in. We've had things figured out for us. We have had, we have figured it out ourselves. We've had an idea. We've, we always have, you know, the resources and the resourcefulness to take care of ourselves and our families, right? That is more the truth than all the fears. And yet we put so much energy on the fears, so much. Anyway, so the alternative solution is to choose thoughts that feel good to you. Right. And that is simple as that is in the simplistic form is choose thoughts that feel good to you more often than you don't. Right. And this takes mind management. It takes learning about your mind and becoming aware of the thoughts that feel bad to you in the first place. Because most people are not aware of when they're thinking a thought that they feel bad about. They think it's the circumstance. They think it's an external circumstance that controls that and makes them feel bad. But no. It is all the perspective that you have on your current situation that is making you feel bad, right? So to get in alignment, you have to think thoughts that you feel good about more often, thoughts that make you feel good, inspired, motivated, empowered, confident more often than you think thoughts that make you feel worried, fearful, scared, anxiety, whatever it is the feelings are, right? Like you, you want to choose thoughts to make you feel better most of the time. Right? And so my entire job is to shift myself, right? Is to clear all the things that are making me feel doubt, that are making me feel worried, is to clear those things, be like, okay, why don't I think this is gonna happen? List out the beliefs. They're all lies. And then shift myself to how can I see this differently? This is how I'm gonna choose to see this differently, right? And this is where coaching is Has changed my life. It has been so incredibly impactful because the coach has so many good thoughts that I'm just like, oh, I didn't know I could think that. Okay, I love that. I'm gonna go with that, right? And that has upleveled me. And throughout my career as a coach, I have worked with a lot of coaches. Their styles are all different, but they give you the thoughts, the energy, the the the drive that you need to get behind what you're doing, right? So. Essentially, in a nutshell, you need to get into alignment. You need to think thoughts that feel good to you more often than you think thoughts that feel bad to you, and the thoughts need to invoke emotion. So, just like bad thoughts invoke emotion, just like if you thought, "Oh my God, I'm going to lose everything," that would invoke anxiety, fear, and like the worst feelings ever, right? And you would feel those feelings in your body if you kept thinking that all day. Just like that, you can think of this is just the beginning. I am in the perfect place to expand, and I can't wait for what's next. Right? Or like you could think all these myriad of beautiful thoughts that would make you feel empowered, confident. Right? And you've got to believe them. You got to believe the ones that you choose. But the beauty is you get to choose them. Right? So that's why it works. Right? And so the necessary skills you need are you need to be aware of what you're thinking, which most people are not. If you listen to this podcast and you've been listening for a while, then you probably are. Right? Be aware of what you're thinking, and then you need to manage your mind, and you. You need to have some tools to manage your mind, and you need to have some access to new up-leveled thinking from somebody who's done it, for someone who's been there, somebody who's gotten the results you wanted before, someone who's kind of been through the parts that you're afraid of, right? And that's how it's been for me anyway. But I'll leave you with, if you are thinking thoughts that are not helpful, be like, I'm willing to see this differently. What can I think instead? Right? Like, what can I believe instead? Right? It's always a choice if you think about it and you get there. And if it's really hard and if you're really just resistant to it, then it's probably just because you're not practiced and it's okay because we all have the same capability, the same human brain, the same ability to think. And so it's turnaroundable. It's figureoutable for you too. Even if it feels like you're stuck and you're like, you've been stuck for a while, it doesn't matter. The past does not equal the future. It never has. It never will unless you just keep thinking the same thoughts that you were thinking in the past, then it will just recreate, which a lot of people do. So those are the necessary skills, and then the results that are created are different, right? So just an example from today, was just coaching one of my clients. He was thinking that there aren't very many opportunities available. There just aren't any opportunities available. And he kept saying that, right? And I kept saying, okay, well, if you're thinking there aren't very many opportunities available— because he was thinking that's true, right? He's like, yeah, that's just the truth, right? Like, I'm just not seeing them. And I'm just like, okay, you think that— how do you feel? He said limited. He feels limited. And then when he feels limited, what is he going to do? It's going to play out in his subtle actions and the way that he is every day and how he— like, what, what he does and how he is and his energy and his, his point of attraction is going to be driven by this. There aren't very many opportunities, right? And so the results are he's not going to see the opportunities because he's not going to go looking for them and he's definitely not going to create them for himself, right? So that was kind of what we identified, and then we were able to shift him into a completely different space, right? And that is kind of like mindset maintenance, right? That needs to be done often, okay? Because your brain is tangled with a bunch of stuff that doesn't serve you, okay? And it's not good or bad, it's just not efficient. It doesn't work to get you the results you want, right? You would know if it did, right? So that's what we do. That's what I do. That's the work we do inside the program. So We just walk you through to alignment, like back into alignment. Like the coaching calls are to realign you every Tuesdays 2 PM. You see other people get realigned and off they go. So that's what we're doing. All right, thank you very much for listening. I will catch up with you next week. If you leave me a review, because if you've been listening to this podcast for a while and you haven't left me a review, which I know is many, many, many of you because I do believe I have maybe like 30 reviews, but it would be great to get some more reviews. And what I'd like to do is offer you my $97 course for free, which is on the 8 reasons why you get interviews but no offers. Okay? So if you leave me a review, all you have to do is screenshot that you've left the review, and then I will actually give you access to this course that costs $97 that has been responsible for landing people offers. I'll put the page to that course in the show notes and you can check it out, but it's priced at $97. So you can purchase it or you can leave me a review, screenshot it to me, and then once it shows up, I will send you access to that course for free. Okay, so tell everybody, leave me a review.
