This might be the weirdest podcast episode I think I've ever done. Laura's here to witness it with me. Thanks for being on Laura. We're going to talk about. I just did a parasite cleanse. I did a pair. Like, I never thought those words would come out of me. Things literally came out of me and Laura is the culprit because she's the one who made me do this. And so I thought I got to have her on because we got to talk about all the things, all the things that I learned, all the things that have left me, all the things that have changed. And I want you all to be the first to hear the results of the, of the parasite cleanse. Laura, thanks for being back with me.
You're welcome. I love that I made you do this.
You did make me do it. So, okay, a little backstory for those of you that have not been listening to past episodes or you didn't hear my last episode with Laura, which, by the way, was also fascinating as I was learning all the things. The backstory is I had a lot of random health things going on that I just chalked up to age. That was first and foremost. I'm 51 at the time of this recording. And I thought, well, you know, perimenopause, menopause, all the things like, you know, my hormones were uneven. I was starting bioidenticals. Lots of random things that can get lumped into age related.
Especially like looking back now, I'll tell you, like, some of the main things, main, main, main things. Getting really fatigued around 3 o' clock in the afternoon, like really fatigued again. We think that's normal, right? Another random weird thing. Waking up almost every day at 3am so it was like three afternoon, 3am in the morning, like clockwork. Waking up like random weird dreams at 3am waking up wide thinking it's stress, cortisol, whatever. Also my lab test, just regular because I do lab tests every 90 days or so, was showing some spiked cortisol at odd times. It was showing a high A1C which was super unusual for me. The way that I eat, like an A1C is your blood sugar over a period of time. So that it was showing that my insulin and actual fasting blood sugar was pre diabetic, which was also very unusual for me. Extremely high cholesterol. That didn't make sense with my diet. We chalked it up to genetics and then a complete estrogen dominance. I'm also just to point this out, I'm a celiac. So sometimes after eating I would bloat and I always thought, well, maybe something was cross contaminated with gluten. Maybe something's going on here. So all of these symptoms, nothing like earth shattering, nothing crazy, but I just chalked it up to age related things. What got my attention was the blood sugar thing. I went into my doctor's office, I learned about the blood sugar thing. That was highly unusual for me. She encouraged me to wear a cgo, which is a continual glucose monitor which I put on my arm and right away saw some serious problems. I would eat low glycemic foods and my blood sugar would spike over 200, which made zero sense to me, you know, and I got hypervigilant with control. Laura, you know me, I got super controlling. I was like, okay, I'm going keto. Like, I was not a keto fan. I'm like, I'm going keto. I'm eating zero carbs. I'm like, I'm going to get this under control. Like I'm a control freak, right? So I went, I went full keto. I was like, this is it. I went intermittent fasting, I went keto. I and I could not control my blood sugar. I would eat, I would eat green beans and I would text Laura, like, what's wrong with my blood sugar? Why is it going so high? Then to make matters worse, it would start crashing at night, like super low. So I got obsessive compulsive over my blood sugar. And I'm talking like I went to two different naturopaths, I went to two different western medicine doctors, I went to an endocrinologist. I went like complete crazy over this. And I was told, I was told, you're pre diabetic. Take metformin, let's adjust your hormones. That was all I was told. That was all I was Told now my doctor, Ginger Sweet Hand, who Laura, you know, she had, in fairness to her, had told me over a year, two years ago, probably two years ago, I should do a gut test, like a stool test. And I said, gross, I'm not doing that.
I did.
I said, gross, I'm not doing that. Okay, so long story short, we're going to get to get to the meat of this stuff. Like literally the meat of it. So of all the things, I was, you know, really getting desperate here. And my friends, Laura Sinclair, who some of you have heard on my, on my show before too, they kept saying to me, you know, parasites, you know parasites. They kept saying parasites. And I kept dismissing them because I thought that's weird. That sounds woo woo. I don't believe in that. Like no doctors. I don't know. What are you selling me? Like, that was literally, literally my conversation. I just didn't, I'm like, that's Laura's business. Of course she likes parasites, whatever.
So.
But I was really desperate about this blood sugar thing. And what turned out I ended up in the emergency room with the blood sugar thing. I learned that my glucose monitor was whacked. Now I was like finger pricking, still having issues. There's a whole, whole slew of things. And I finally did a GI mapping test and that's a stool analysis. And I took it first to my doctors who wanted to give me antibiotics and some crazy stuff. And it didn't make sense to me because on this analysis not only did it show I have some parasite problems and some bacteria, which we're going to get into in a minute, but it also showed that I had severely he gut, which is crazy because as healthy as I am, not overweight, I'm fit, I eat really well. Like I would have never guessed I had leaky gut. And so to me, going on antibiotics made no sense to me because I thought, I'm going to kill parasites, I'm going to kill this stuff. But then what's going to happen to my gut? It's going to get worse and I'm going to recreate a problem. So in comes Laura to the rescue. So hi, Laura.
Hi.
So, okay, let's. Before we get into like kind of the steps and what happened, what's your recollection of this conversation? Like when we were first talking about it, like what was going on in your mind as I'm telling you these symptoms back then?
Well, I just remember how incredibly impactful this was on your life because here you were a fitness and wellness expert, very Very diligent with your eating, your exercise. I mean, I know how you live your life, Natalie. I mean, you practice what you preach. You are the real deal. And, you know, those of us who are behind the scenes with you and can you hear what's truly happening in your heart and your brain, like, how this is affecting you? I mean, this was a really big deal. And I remember you were. My experience of you was very scared that you were going to have diabetes and how could this possibly happen? And. And it was. I mean, there was a level of panic there, like, this is going to affect my life in a really big way. I mean, the diabetes, diagnosis of diabetes, you know, down the road is connected with a lot of other health problems, for sure. Heart disease. And, you know, it's a full body. Diabetes isn't just. Doesn't just affect one part of your body. It's a full body disease.
Yeah.
And so, yes. I mean, the way that you're telling this story, I think the piece that you're almost leaving out is. Is how emotional this was for you.
Yeah, I was. I was obsessive compulsive over this. Like, I was like, I didn't understand. I felt. I honestly, I gave up my whole fitness business, to be honest. Like, because at the time I thought I was done with teaching fitness wellness. Because I'm thinking, I can't get this stuff under control. I don't know what's wrong with me. Maybe I shouldn't be doing this. Like, that's literally the conversation that I was having in my brain.
Imposter syndrome.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Because I'm thinking, here I am, I know so much about nutrition. I have two bestselling books, all these things, and what the heck, I have diabetes. Like that. This is what was coming up for me.
How is possible and how forward from this? Yeah.
And I started interviewing lots of people on my podcast about keto diet. And I just wanted to understand and I could not control it. And it would drive me nuts. I remember having Dr. Beverly Yates on about type 2, and she's telling me, I'm like, but I'm doing all that. And then I had Nasha Winners on. I'm like, but I'm doing all that. Like, nobody was everyone's answers to me. I was doing those things, and it was not fixing my blood sugar. The other symptoms are present, but the blood sugar is the thing that had to get to me. That was a thing. Because I thought, I can't control this. Like, something's wrong. Everything else was kind of mind over matter. Like, okay, I'm tired in the afternoon. Like, just deal with it. Like, that blood sugar thing was driving me bonkers.
So.
So I sent my. I sent my GI mapping to Laura and right away she saw, like, the whole problem. What did you see when you saw my.
Well, number one, you had a parasite on your. On your. On your test.
And here's rare, by the way.
It's rare. It's rare to see them, and I'll explain why. So the test that we ran on you has 14 parasites. 14 or 16. I have to go back and count, but 14 or 16 parasites are identified. You can have 100 different species of parasites in your body, and they don't just stay in the gut. So it's a myth that parasites only live in the gut. Parasites actually migrate very easily out of the gut and into the bloodstream, where they can then travel all over your body. So parasites really love to live in your lungs, in your sinuses, in your urinary system, your pancreas, apparently, in your pancreas, in your liver. And then parasites are also microscopic organisms that are as small as a cell, like a protozoa, and they're also large that you can see with the naked eye. So there's a lot of different species of parasites. And. And so actually, it's really uncommon to actually see them on a gut test because they can be anywhere in your body, and a gut test is just looking at a stool sample. So it was really exciting when we saw this on you. And the reason I was so excited to see it is because I knew if you saw this, I could get you to buy in that we have to do this. I need you to stick with this for three months. So sometimes it's hard to stay on blind faith that, well, it looks like it walks like a parasite, it talks like a parasite, it acts like a parasite. It must be a parasite. If you don't see the parasite, it's hard to stay motivated. So I just want to share that with your audience right now, that trust. Trust practitioners who know what to look for in terms of parasites. If you don't see one on a gut test, doesn't mean they're not there. I was one of those people where I had parasites on a gut test. Then the next time I did a gut test, there was no parasite, so I thought they were gone. I did a parasite cleanse anyway, and I saw loads of parasites come out of me. So, I mean, it happens. So.
So not only did I have the parasites, though you saw, we saw E. Coli. We saw staph. We saw. Is it B. What's the thing that makes estrogen dominance that we saw?
Oh, you had a high. You had an elevated beta glucuronidase, which is an enzyme that can create. It can be a component of. I should say estrogen dominance is not the only reason, but it can be a component of that. We could see that on a gut test. We can also see inflammatory markers. We can see, see, we could tell that you were gluten free and doing a good job because there is a marker that tells us if you're gluten sensitive on a gut test. And we could tell that you weren't being cross contaminated with gluten. It would have shown up over several months period of time. It will.
We had sibo.
We showed.
I had SIBO too.
So the gut test, the stool test is not a SIBO test, that's a breath test. But you can look at patterns of bacteria overgrowth and you can speculate that there's probably some small intestinal involvement here. But I just want to clarify that.
Okay.
That is. You can't. You cannot tell you.
Then you speculated that I have Laurie too, right?
You had H. Pylori, which is an upper stomach, an upper GI infection that lives in the stomach.
And you actually said to me, you're like, I cannot believe you've been functioning at the level that you've been functioning at with all these things in your gut. Like you're. I had massively. He got too. And that was, it was felt so empowering to hear that because I thought for the first time I'm not crazy. Like, I'm like I had been. I'm such a tough attitude like, oh, excuses or solutions like look for the opportunity, not the obstacle. So I just didn't let myself go into the negative. But I had a lot of stuff going on.
You did. And I will say the reason that you were functioning as high as you were is because of your commitment to every other aspect of your health. So there is a power to sleeping enough at night. There's a power to eating the right foods. There's a power to keeping your body in motion and exercising. There's a power to positive mindset. And so all of these aspects that you were doing every day is really why you were able to function so high. It's like you had your own biohacking system, right? Biohacking through it. But, but you couldn't. Here's the thing, you couldn't eat your.
Way out of it.
You Couldn't exercise your way out of it, you couldn't sleep your way out of it. And this is really important for people to understand. All the healthy lifestyles in the world are not going to solve this unless you target these bacteria, parasites, fungus, candida, viruses, whatever it is inside of you. Your immune system needs some support to get them out. And you need to do all the things you were doing, but you also need some botanicals to some herbs and botanicals to actually kill these things so your body can get rid of them.
Okay, so some things I learned too, and one thing I forgot to mention is I was also having massive sugar cravings. And I wasn't having sugar because I was being keto to get. And that also didn't make sense to me because knowing biology and the way our body works, you typically crave sugar. When you're eating sugar, like, or you're eating a lot of carbs. And I wasn't. So that was another red flag because I've learned that parasites crave sugar. That's how they survive.
So real quick, your parasites kind of hijack the messaging system between your brain and your gut. We call it the gut brain axis. Your gut and your brain are connected. They communicate via your vagus nerve. And your parasites get in there and they hijack that system and they send signals to your brain to eat the things that they want to thrive. So even if you're not eating a bunch of sugar, you get these cravings for sugar. Yeah, it's. It's crazy. I mean, they hijack your body. I mean, think of the definition of a parasite. A parasite lives off its host. Its goal is not to kill you, its goal is to live off of you.
I was an amazing host. Apparently I had all good friends for it. So, and I want to clarify everyone. So not only was I eating unprocessed natural real food and being super strict and even went to keto during this. I was sleeping about 10 hours a night. I was always tired, I was always foggy headed. I was on bioidentical hormones, getting them tested regularly. I was doing, taking the best supplements. I was literally doing all the things. But I had not checked this, I had not done this. And the way Laura has explained it to me is these core things, like you want to make sure you are getting your gut dialed in first. Like, your gut is. We're going to this higher level of like, let's look at hormones, let's look. And that is actually not the priority order. Like, so first and foremost, nutrition, obviously we want Good nutrition. But after that, like, if you got health issues, the fact that we're not checking our gut. First of all, why are a lot of Western medicine doctors not doing this first? Like, why is this not coming out first?
Okay, so I spent, you know, 20, 20, 25 years in the Western medicine world before I finally stepped fully into functional, integrative natural medicine. And I'll tell you, it was not taught in school. I never learned about gut health. It wasn't until, you know, I would say 2015 or so that gut health really became big on the scene. We didn't even map out the entire human gut microbiome until the last 10, 15 years. And so we didn't even know about it. And I will tell you that the steering of the ship of Western medicine is a very slow process. So people have their ideas of how to treat chronic illness. And the Western world doesn't do a great job at handling chronic illness. It's more of a reactive, you're already in crisis, let's slap a band aid on you and get you functioning kind of a system. Also, Western medicine is really good at emergencies, right? If you, you know, if you injure yourself and go to an emergency room, they're really good at putting you back together. But these chronic things like low energy hormone dysregulation, mood dysregulation, chronic pain, chronic skin issues, you know, the whole brain, foggy, lack of concentration, we don't have a good solution for that in Western medicine. And I expect eventually in the future, Western medicine finally acknowledge the power and the impact of health and parasites. But it's not going to happen anytime soon, Natalie. This isn't going to happen for the next 10, 20 years. Also, there's no money for Western medicine in solving these problems. If you don't need the prescriptions and the doctor's visits and the procedures, the system collapses. So that's an issue, too.
So I trusted Laura, and she keeps telling me how proud she is that I stayed on this protocol. But to me, I'm like, when I say I'm going to do something, I'm committed, I do it. And this is what I want to. I mean, there's so much information to tell, and we have such a short time here, but I'm going to try to tell as much as I can. I started the protocol, which was not that challenging, to be honest with you. Like, now that I understood what was going on and I was after, I thought the worst thing that can happen, the worst thing that can happen is I can Follow what she says. And I'm back to where I was before. Like, that's literally the worst thing that could happen. But what happened was the first four weeks, she. She walks us through stages. Like, the first four weeks you get into this, you're prepping your body. And if I understand correctly, my other doctors wanted to basically just go kill whatever was there. And I learned from Laura that if you just kill what's there, you're basically going to create a bigger problem because your body started to. To use these things and work in harmony together. So, for example, let's say you have mold or heavy metals in your body. Your parasites are living off of that, so they're almost mopping that up for you. So there's these things are all living in harmony together. Like, all the things I had, the E. Coli, the staff, they've learned to, like, live together. So just killing things, you could create a bigger problem. You also could have a reverse reaction where you start feeling really sick. And I thought, no way, I'm not doing that. So we spent the first four weeks basically getting my mitochondria and my energy and my everything really, really strong. And that part was, like, super easy. Like, I didn't have any. No issues like that. And in fact, a few little things started coming out. Nothing major, but, like, I started. You know, you just have a little bit extra time in the bathroom type of thing.
You started.
So you're feeling a little lighter. You're feeling a little lighter. But when we started the next phase, that is when things just got kind of freaky, Laura. They got freaky. I had. I had a little PTSD from the first.
I. I remember. I'll never forget the first text that you sent me. Like, I just passed a parasite, you guys.
If you could see me on video, it was like. Like, I mean, this white thing came out of me that was like. We know now that it was. It called this. What was the thing? The name of that one?
Well, you think it was.
Yeah, no, it had to have been. That showed up on my thing. Strong.
Strong.
On a scan I had had, it was called Strong Strong Lotus.
Is that what it's called?
It looks like a big white spaghetti. That's all I have to say. And I was tight. I called Laura.
I'm like, I have PTSD from this thing.
And she said, well, it's better out than in. Yeah, true. I'm like, that was living in me.
Yes. And it's friends and it's having a party.
It's friends.
Yeah. Yes.
Okay. So I have physically seen three long, long, long things come out of me. Like, physically seen. There's other things that are questionable. I don't examine anything. I know Laura, Laura's all into like forking her poop and stuff. I don't do that.
We have to explain that people are okay. That's when you have a toilet fork. You have like a little plastic fork next to the toilet. You break up your poop so you can see the parasites that are in there. Some people like to really see them come out.
That's not me.
Satisfying.
Yeah, I know that's not me. But three of them were unavoidable. Like, I. There was no way I wouldn't have seen them. Like, there's. It was.
There was.
With sparing you some details. Now for those of you going, oh, there's no way. I can't do that. I thought that same exact thing. I'm going to say that. But now that I know that was living in my body, like, those were, those were creating the problems, like, it's unbelievable. It's like, that's crazy. No.
Okay.
And I don't care if anyone thinks it's imaginary or pseudoscience or whatever, because I physically saw them and I have my. Not only do I feel different, I didn't even. I haven't even shared like some of the results. So first of all, it wasn't even two weeks into the state first stage and my blood sugar, completely regulated. Completely regulated two weeks in and I check finger prick. Not just the glute, the continual glucose monitor, because those can be inaccurate sometimes. I com. I could eat a pile of sugar and my blood sugar will not go over 120 right now. Like, and I've tested it. Like I should be. Yeah. So completely normal, healthy. My fasting blood sugar is like 70. It's like I'm completely normal right now. My blood sugar, like, no, no issues. There's. Every single thing has normalized on me. Every single thing. I don't have the 3 o' clock crash. I don't have the 3am Wake up. My focus and energy is there. Like literally everything now. What has happened is each night or day before, one of the big snakes came out, because that's what I call them big snakes each the day before. And this is how I now know I would massively crave sugar and get very tired. And like, like we were at. I was at Legoland with my daughter and I out of nowhere wanted like that zebra popcorn, like the seed oils, all the, all the stuff that I would never touch. And I was, like, ravenous. Like, I had to have this popcorn. Like, I wanted sugar. And the next day, sure enough, another big thing came out. So I'm assuming, Laura, it's like it's about to die and it's like grasping for sugar. Is that what's going on?
Oh, yeah. Things are. Things are moving and it's trying to save its life. Right. It's number one objective is to survive, and it survives off of your nutrients and sugar. So it skims off the top and takes the good stuff and it sends signals for you to crave bad stuff, too.
Got it.
And it's so funny. You literally texted me every time before you had a big release and because you text me and say, is there something. Did you. Did the formula change? Did you. Is there something protocol?
Yeah, I thought it was a different formula. That's right, because you gave me one of your bottles of the stuff and I was like, did you change something? Because something's weird. I don't feel good. Yeah. And then the next day, a big snake came out. Yeah. No, I did not take pictures. I'm sorry. But I can Google and show you what they look like. One of them was that, like, really long thing. What is that? That? That?
Yeah, it's just. Yuck.
I.
Well, because I never saw it. I don't know exactly what it was. I have tried, you guys. I've tried to convince her to at least let me come over to give them.
No. She wanted to come over and go through my poop. I said no.
I'm a nurse practitioner.
I can't do it.
I worked in hospitals with people with. It does not bother me. I could.
I know what I saw. I know. I don't even need proof. I know what I saw. I know how I feel now. Okay. But that's what I haven't told you yet, Laura. So I have not redone yet the GI mapping, which I'm going to do soon. We're going to do that again, and I think two or three weeks, because then I'm, like, completely done everything. And I'm super curious about that. And I'm going to redo, like, my Dutch test and all. I want to, like, understand what's changed. But what I didn't tell you is I just yesterday got back, I was my life insurance test, because I'm over 50. I had to get, like, a whole exam for life insurance. And this is the first time in my life this has happened. Every single marker is in the good, the normal good. Range. Not one thing was out of it. Not one. Not even my cholesterol. Not one thing was in the high range. That's never like, I can't believe it. Like, that's like. So I'm excited to like, retest my hormones and everything. Like, I haven't. I don't even know what to say. Like, this. Is this, like, fixed?
Literally everything.
And now, of course, I think our phones listen to us clearly because every time I scroll, Tick tock or Instagram, I get hit with like parasite reels or whatever. And I'm learning so much. Like, people are saying that, like their tumors went away. Like, just crazy things that they were thinking was something else. It was a parasite.
I know you. You sent me two reels today to look at. Yeah, I know.
It's like they're. They're targeting me. They follow me around social media. What's happening here? Okay, so, but what, what tell. I want you to educate the listeners. Like, why would you not just go buy like wormwood or like, people are like, well, I'll just take these herbs or I'll just go kill this. Or like, can you give a little education on why that's the best approach?
Yeah. Okay, so there's. Now here's the thing that, that is tough. There's a lot of people out there claiming to be experts on removing parasites. There's a lot of companies out there selling parasite removal products. I mean, just yesterday you and I did a class together and somebody asked, can I just go to the store and buy this stuff? Like the health food store? And you cannot. So the first thing is, I mean.
You can, but it's not going to be effective.
Well, yeah, I mean, yeah. So the first thing is you want to work with a practitioner who actually knows how to do this in the layers and the, the steps that will not crash your health. Just like Natalie was talking about. Even before we kill a single parasite, we take your body through a preparation to be able to tolerate the killing process. Because the killing process is not easy on your immune system. And your body will react and you can have what we call a Herxheimer reaction where you feel like you crash your energy. It feels kind of like you got hit by a bus. You come down with a chills, body aches, pain, flu, like symptoms, nausea, you might vomit, diarrhea. And pretty much if you, if that happens to you, you will, you will swear off of whatever you are doing. You will never want to take that supplement again.
So you also want to work with practitioner grade supplements because you know, here in the United States and I, and this is really, people have a hard time wrapping their mind around this. But here in the United States, the FDA doesn't regulate what's actually in a supplement bottle. They heavily regulate and what you can say on a bottle and what you can claim, but they don't regulate the purity or the quality or the strength of the ingredients. So you could literally claim on a bottle that you, your, your product does this, this and this, and you can have sawdust in there and take that. So, and I mean, I'm being exaggerating here, but you get what I mean. It could be very low potency. And so you really want to work with a company that is practitioner grade. So you should. And practitioner grade supplements, you can get through. You can't buy them at Whole Foods, you can't buy them on Amazon. It is, you want to work with a practitioner because these supplements are powerful and you don't want to hurt yourself with them. So, yeah, they're not pharmaceuticals like the drug industry, but natural things can be very potent as well. So you want to have somebody support you with this.
Okay, yeah. I, and I had, I actually upset one of my doctors because I, like, she was like, she's super credentialed. Like, she's, you know, and I gone to her, I went to her as a specialist for the blood sugar because I was trying to figure out what was going on there before I understood this. And so when I, we did the GI mapping and she saw, she wanted me to go a very specific route because her training in, you know, in the ER for years and in internal medicine, all the, all the things and I just, I listened to, literally listen to my guide and this is a very, I took this approach and I'm glad I did. Like, I almost, I'm, I'm going to send her the final results because I want to be like, see, because she, I mean, she actually, in fairness to her, she's, she definitely said like, hey, I want to be wrong. Like, show me that this works. And like the fact that my blood sugar is completely normal and all this stuff came out and like, I'm so glad at the choice that I made. Like, this is incredible. And I, what's upsetting to me for people and I want to speak a little bit into this is so many people are. And I know many of you listening are going to do this. You're going to go, well, I'm going to go ask my MD and does my insurance pay for it? And I'm just going to say the truth of the matter because I worked in medical device for years and years and Laura worked in Kaiser for 20 years. Insurance does not care about you. It doesn't. Insurance does not care about you. It should not be dictating your health. It is a business. That is all it is. It is a business. And unfortunately, most of the good things that actually work for us are not in Western medicine. And that makes me sad. Now, I'm not saying all doctors. There's many doctors that do practice a lot of functional medicine and include a lot of this. But unfortunately, a lot of this is not covered by insurance or western medicine because it's not a moneymaker for them. It's not. It doesn't put you on pharmaceuticals forever. Diabetes is a moneymaker.
It is. It's true. It is really crazy. I mean, I will tell you, I'm going to tell you a crazy story. I was at a medical conference, you know, 10 years ago, and a doctor in the room literally raised his hand. It was an orthopedic surgeon. I was at a osteoporosis bone conference. And he said, what motivation do I have to solve this osteoporosis disease? Because that's how I make my money fixing. Wow.
Wow. Literally.
I mean, and I'm just saying, like this example is everywhere in medicine. And it's hard to say because I really was one of those people that set out to change the world from the time I was a little girl. And I, and I, and I did, I did good things in the Western world. And I still, the Western world, has saved my own dad's life multiple times. Oh, yeah.
I mean, I have my biceps hair. Oh, there's a lot of great things.
Tons of good stuff. But these symptoms that I said, if you have brain fog, lack of concentration, difficulty trusting your brain, low energy, hormone dysregulation, moodiness, chronic pain, skin issues, accelerated aging. The western medicine world is not solved. This and your GI symptoms, the floating, the heartburn, the pain, the inability to digest food, the food intolerances, we do not have a solution for that in the Western world.
And it's funny because I saw, there was a post I sent you this morning and I saw somebody comment that they are an MD and they've worked in healthcare for years and they do, you know, colonoscopy oscopies, and in 20 years they've never seen one parasite. Well, you would not see that on a colonoscopy. Can you explain that? Like, that's living in your intestines like, it's not. This is not.
Yeah. Okay, so first off, like I mentioned when we started this talk, parasites easily move outside of your intestines. So your gut wall is very thin and very permeable, and your blood stream is right on the other side of it. And so parasites, all of them, can easily just move right out of there. When you do a colonoscopy prep, you're literally, you're, you know, you're, you're cleaning out your bowels, so you've moved all the debris out of your bowels. When you do a colonoscopy prep, so you've got this clean environment. But the other thing is, and I cannot tell you how many times in the western world I read a colonoscopy report that said incomplete bowel prep, meaning there was still don. Stool in there. And underneath that, in that environment is where parasites live in that hard caked in stool from the incomplete bowel prep. So also remember that many, many parasites are not visible with the naked eye. So it's like hilarious to me that a GI doc, I've never seen a parasite. It's like. Well, that's because the majority of them are microscopic, so you probably wouldn't see them. I mean, the ones I mean, Natalie saw these big worms. Yes. Big worms come out. Round worms can come out. Tapeworms can come out. These.
I know. I don't know one of them. That one of them was either a tapeworm. It was like, it have been a tapeworm. Like, that's crazy.
Yeah. So helminths are the category of worms that are visible to the naked eye.
I've seen three. I physically saw three. So who knows what I haven't seen?
Yeah. So there's two categories. We got protozoa and we got helminths. And then there's all kinds of subcategories inside of that. And like I said, so, yeah, Natalie, and you've heard me tell the story. I pulled a parasite out of my nose when I was 12 years old. I know people who.
And you thought it was snot, slime.
People. People, when they get on parasite protocols, sometimes they urinate out of parasite. It comes out of their bladder system. Sometimes they blow it out of their sinuses. So they're coming out, you know, different places of the body. And you're never going to see the microscopic ones leave you. They're not visible.
So. So my next cut, like. So then I asked Laura, I'm like, well, is this like the rest of my life that I'm on here? Honestly, like, it doesn't matter what you said. I think I would be doing this the rest of my life. Honestly, like, I don't, I can't see that I will go another year without going through a process like this. Because I don't, I don't now, like, you can't unsee what you see.
You.
I now you know. You know. And what I've also learned is that this is kind of like step one. I don't, I don't want to like, talk people out of going down this road. But like, I, I understand now. Like, I want to fully understand, like, now, are my, is my liver working correctly? Because that's a whole nother thing that people go, oh, that's woo, woo. That's pseudoscience. No, I don't believe that either. I think you can have sluggish liver now too. I see how that all works together. I also see how heavy metals and mold can be a component. So, so I'm like on a deep mission to, like, now the word like get on toxic means a whole nother level to me. Like, to me, I was like, whatever, it's my soap, my hair, whatever. But now I understand what's happening. Like, when we are not controlling or not giving a favorable environment to our immune system and to our gut and everything, we are attracting these other problems.
We are, we are. And so this is, you're in the long game. And I always say, we lived into this, we get to live out of it. What we've done right now for you is we have solved the immediate fire. We had to put out that fire for you. Blood sugar dysregulated, waking up in the middle of the night, energy crashing like, you're, you're up to a big game in your life. You need your energy. You've got lots of people counting on you. You got to be able to support people. Your listeners have lots of people counting on them. Their families, their coworkers, their communities. And so we got to put out the immediate fire that's preventing you from feeling good. Then once you've solved that issue now, the deeper work can happen, and that is solving the environmental issue that's happening inside your body. So your body is an environment. Just like, you know, you look out your window, there's an environment out there. Your home is an environment. Your body is an environment to microbes, to parasites, bacteria to fungus, candida. So now the next step for you is to clean up that environment. We got to get out the toxins that just come to us from Living in a, in a developed country. And here's the thing, none of us are going to go, going to escape.
Yeah.
The modern industrial environment that we live in, there is heavy metal. There are heavy metals coming into our air, our water, our food, pesticides, herbicides. In our homes that we live in. The paint, the flooring, the sheetrock, the furniture, it's off. Gassing volatile organic compounds. There's constant toxins coming at us, and we have to be in a constant phase of cleaning those out of us. And so that's why with parasites, so they like to live in that kind of, of environment in your body. So with, with parasite cleanses, those of us who specialize in this, we cleanse ourselves about quarterly or twice a year. You know, you just go through a one week process where you cleanse this out. And then we do, we take measures to make sure that we're supporting toxins getting out of our body on a daily basis because we know we're going to be exposed to them. Because, I mean, Natalie, I'm never going to not eat out again. I'm going to be.
Well, I got to tell you though, I'm not having sushi ever again. I can't. Now that I. Now that I know, I know, like, I will not. I just can't do it. I. And I won't have celibate either, because you showed that picture.
Right. So undercooked fish is an issue. So cooking your fish is okay. I just want to share with every. You can eat fish. I mean, we're going to get all kinds of hate mail if we tell people they can't eat fish.
I am eating fish. I'm just kidding.
Yes. So raw fish is a problem. And this is very common. Like, even, you know, butchers will, you know, fish butchers will tell you they just pull parasites out of the fish and put it in the case, sell it to you. And that in the parasite eggs, you can, you can't see them with the naked eye. And even though they pulled the visible worm out of the fish, there's still larvae and eggs in there. And you're eating that and sitting in your body. Yes. So that's one of the big issues with sushi.
Okay. So before, when I first did a podcast with you, before I started my whole shebang, when I started this whole thing, we did a whole podcast about this, what I was exploring and what I was about to get into. And we had so many questions that we did a whole masterclass. And I want to tell you all, when we did this masterclass, we had 500 people on that master class. We had spots for 500. We had almost 2,000 register for where it was free, by the way, where Laura walked through. Like what to look for. Like how to avoid getting parasites. Like what to do to treat them. All the things. Anyways, we only had 500 spots. We were maxed out. Like 500 people that we. All those people signed up 500 first. 500 people that got on. Got on. We are doing another one. I wanted to do another one when we finished this. When I finished this. So we are doing one. So I don't know when you're listening to this, but if you're listening to this at around the time we're doing it, I'm going to put all the links in the show notes so you can register and save your spot for free.
Free.
If you're listening to this and you. And you can't go find show notes. If you go. I'm hoping I redirect it to the right place. If you go to MidLifeConfocations.com MidLifeConfocations.com forward/gut gut. MidLifeConfocations.com forward slash gut. Depending on when you're listening to this, this will get redirected either to the master class or just how to work with. With Laura. I don't know the answer yet because I don't know that stuff. But it'll go to one of those things. But do what you can to get on this class with us. In fact, when did we say it is Laura? I'm just going to say it.
August. So we're August. I want to say August.
August 10th at 4pm Pacific time. And we'll have that same problem. And I know that we have 500 spots period. So be the first like to register for it. Get on you listen.
What.
What do you have to lose except for the worms get out.
Right? We're going to teach. We're going to teach in that class all the places you get exposed. So how to know also the symptoms, everything to know to figure out if you have this, how we're getting exposed. Because it's more than just sushi. There's a lot of places we get.
We get like I learned that stepping on grass. Grass barefoot you can get one. What the heck. I ground all the time.
I do. I. I paced my yard yesterday all day. All day. I had a lot of. No, but I know how to get them out. It's fine. Like eating unwashed produce. I mean how many people who's not guilty of that. It's fine. And then we're going to talk about the steps to take to eliminate them and how to get gut testing, what kind of testings to get, because there's lots of traps in the gut testing world, too. So I just got to say this. There's a lot of gut tests out there that you can go and just kind of buy a, you know, online. This is not the same kind of test we did on Natalie. We did a. We did a practitioner functional medicine test. You have to have a practitioner order it for you. The test we did on Natalie, you cannot go out and just order online by yourself.
Yeah, no, this is good. I highly, highly suggest beyond this, especially if it, like, look, I'm all about bioidentical hormones, and I. And I have some great guests that come on and teach about hormones. And actually, some of the best guests I've had on about hormones even say, we need to check your gut, too. So I love that, that they. That they recognize that, too, because we could Messing with, changing our hormones and fixing that without addressing what's actually happening here first. And I feel like that's a little bit backwards. So we got to. We got to look at that first.
So. So anyways, I want to fix. Yeah, if you want to fix your hormones, your adrenals, your thyroid, your blood sugar, you got us dig deep. You got to go to the root cause of what's causing this dysregulation and problem anyway. And so starting with gut is one of the most critical things you can do to save yourself time, money, effort.
Yeah, because if I thought. If we thought I had diabetes, like, what else are people thinking they have? That's actually like, I had parasites in my pancreas, basically, which was messing up my whole insulin situation.
And you're, you know, you're getting ready to potentially go on a medication for the rest of your life. Oh, yeah.
I was scared. Like, it's crazy. And that would have been.
What would. That.
It wouldn't have been any. But now what. I didn't tell you now. This is wild. This is like, next level wild. And then we're going to kind of end here. So I'm celiac. I've been celiac for 24 years.
Years.
I heard when I was having my blood tested by a guest that I'm going to be also having on my podcast, who happens to be super knowledgeable with this, too. He said there's a strong correlation. I don't know if you've ever heard this, Laura, with Strong, A lotus that came out. And celiac. So he believes that I've had that infection since before I was diagnosed with celiac. So he said. And I don't know, I'm just. He said. He said I would be surprised. I wouldn't be surprised if you were not actually celiac anymore.
This is what I said. So this is really important for everyone to understand. If you have an autoimmune disorder, you have parasitic parasites, period. And I do believe, Natalie, that you have had parasites most of your life. Yeah.
So it's probably what caused that. So this is what's really crazy. Okay, so I'm celiac. I'm super sensitive to gluten. I don't know that I'll ever just go try to eat, like, for SAP bread, because I just. I don't. I've been celiac forever, and I'm not gonna recommend that. But this is true. I'm super sensitive. And in my whole life, if I would eat something that was cross contaminated, I would feel it. Well, I ate some chocolate. Chocolates two weeks ago. Some. And I was like eating them. I had probably like four of them, and they were crunchy chocolates. And I read later that there was wheat in them. And I didn't have one symptom. Nothing.
And you normally would.
I mean, people would be bloated right away.
Yeah, people have celiac. It takes, like, a drop of yes.
So I. I'm not claiming I'm not celiac anymore. Nothing like that. I'm just saying that's a little weird. I'm not gonna lie. I saw the thing come out and I had cross. Like, definitely had cross contamination. Not. I usually get swollen lymph nodes. I get bloated. Like all the things that happen. My skin, nothing.
Congratulations.
Yeah, so he was telling me I should try real sourdough. I don't know. I'm not there yet, but I don't know. Yeah, I don't know about that.
We're not claiming. We're not claiming to cure.
I'm just saying is that it's a little weird that I had a definite crop, definite crunchy wheat, and I didn't have anything happen. That's a little weird.
Well, here's the thing you can expect to achieve when you clear parasites, your food intolerances. Oh, yeah.
I have no lactose intolerance anymore. Not.
Yeah, so I was terribly lactose intolerant. And I. I literally ate pizza with Bella, my daughter, the other night, and we ordered pizzas for Sammy's Wood Fire. They Got gluten free crust, which is awesome. But it had the vanilla and everything. And I had no issue.
I couldn't believe it. I'm like, there's zero issue. Like, none. Like, gas is not normal, y'. All. Like, like, even though my husband will tell you a normal person toots like 50 times a day, that's not true. We're not supposed to toot all day long.
Some, but not constantly.
Not all day long. And not like the smelly ones any.
I mean, you should. If you too. They shouldn't be deathly, right?
I mean, no, if you got deathly tooth, you got parasites. I'm just saying. Okay, we're going to continue the conversation on the class on the 10th. Grab your spot, be on with us. We're going to. We have. We have so much fun in our classes, by the way. We had. We were like laughing though. People said we're like a comedy show.
We.
If this does. If this does not work out, our podcast and online, we can be comedians, Laura, for sure. All right, so show up on the podcast. It is going. I mean, sorry, the podcast, the conversation that we have on the 10th month, it's free.
We.
We will record it, by the way, so make sure it be on live so you can ask your questions. But if you can't make it still register. So you can at least get a replay from that. Okay. And that would be that. We probably will do one maybe once a quarter a class. So.
So yeah, we have too much fun with it. I mean, you're on a mission to solve people's problems now.
I love this. Who knew I would be talking about worms coming out of my butt, but.
I never would have guessed it and.
I'd be a cheerleader for it. Oh, my gosh. Okay. Thank you so much, Laura. Thank you.
