Chapters
Doctor Beaver did a study on waist circumference and showing that in a sunlight and sauna, it can help you lose inches around the waist. So we know that for sure. We also know that when your body is increasing the core temperature, it's fighting to cool itself down. That fighting is energy that is turned into calorie burning. So you're burning calories while you're in there.

Today on Midlife Conversations, we're going to continue down the road of biohacking, but biohacking for us, biohacking for midlife women especially. Things that we can do to help us heal, things that we can do to help remove microtoxins from our body, things that we can do to help us feel and look better. So today I've got Connie Zack on. She's the founder of Sunlight and Saunas and she's got a really fascinating story as to how she got into this, why infrared sauna is so important to her, and why she's made these available for us in our homes. And just before I fully get into her and introducing her and her story, I want to share a little background as to how I ended up with Asana here. Most of you have known, if you've been listening along, that I recently went through an explant surgery and in looking at ways to get that ruptured silicone out of me, get the mitotoxins out of me, I was looking at all kinds of things. Red light, what can I do that, the hyperbaric oxygen chamber, all types of things. But the one thing that kept coming up again and again and again was the infrared sauna. Using that infrared sauna to help get that out, I got extremely interested. And quite frankly, I'm not the kind of person that loves to use the ones at the gym. I get a little grossed out about a Lot of sweaty people in there. About a lot of random sweaty people in there. I'm sensitive to smells. I'm sensitive to other.
Other people.
I'm sensitive to germs. At least in my head I am. So I thought, it's time, let me get one in my home. Let me check this out. And it's been a huge part of healing. So I want to introduce Connie. Connie, thank you so much for being here today. Thank you for being on Midlife Conversations.
Thanks for having me. It's great to see you again. It's been too long.
So, Connie, I've a lot of questions for you about, about saunas, but let's take it back. Like, how did this become something you were so personally interested in? Like, I bet you as a little girl were not, like, I'm going to buy, found and run a sauna company.
You're right. I didn't. Didn't know anything about infrared when I was a little girl. So it, it came about because my brother was extremely ill and he had tried everything possible to heal himself. So he was. Had heavy levels of fatigue, he had vertigo, he.
Had pain all over his body. He literally couldn't get out of bed. So that's the picture of my brother who. It was horrible to watch that. And then his dentist, when he went to the dentist, said, jason, I think what's happening is these amalgam fillings, these that are filled with mercury, think they're leaking into your body. He had a lot of them. And he said, I think you have mercury toxicity and you got to get this out. And that's what's causing all this.
And for you're saying that kind, I'm like, I am still guilty of having two mercury fillings. And I know women listening right now still have them.
Yeah, yeah. Well, yeah, let's talk about getting. That's another show. But I mean, we, you know, we need to get them out of your mouth because that's such an easy way to get it from your mouth, obviously into your body. Good news is we have solutions for detoxification, but it's easier if you don't have them. So my. So my brother was talking to the dentist, and every time I tell this, I still am, like, just amazed at the fact that this is over 25 years ago and nobody knew anything about infrared. But yet this dentist in St. Louis said I had been doing some research and the wavelength of infrared is capable of detoxifying the body and removing the heavy metals such as mercury, and told my brother about it. And Then my brother immediately bought an infrared sauna. It was, you know, of course, you know, antiquated at the time, but it didn't matter, you know, because people were still.
People were using saunas, but they were using the ones with the humidity or they were using all the different other kinds. I used to have an old sauna that you would throw water on the rocks and stuff. But infrared, no one was talking about that.
Correct, Correct. And his just had a couple of heaters. There were really small heaters. I mean, like the, The. The. The technology. We've evolved so much over the years. But the wavelength itself, you know, helped to get into his body, and over time, it changed his life. I mean, it saved him. And he detoxified all the mercury out of his body. He was able to get up and move again. We were able to go well and travel as a family again. And, you know, he became a healthier person. I watched this transformation while I was at Procter and Gamble. I was on the pharmaceutical side because as a little girl, I always wanted to make a difference in this world, and I wanted to. I was really passionate about helping people, especially when it came to wellness. And here, in front of my eyes, I saw my brother do something that transformed and changed his life. So I ended up leaving my safe, comfortable, wonderful corporate job that I loved so much and decided to bring the concept of infrared to the world through sunlight. And so that's the.
Okay, so I have a lot of questions, and there's not a particular order to this, but I'm gonna. And as you answer them, I'll probably have more. So first of all, and because I don't understand any of this, and this is why this was so important for me to do this, I just know. I've heard it works. I've seen that it works. I just don't know how. Why. First, let's start with the basic. Why is infrared important and different than just a regular traditional sauna? Because I, you know, I was always thought, like, sweat is good. Like, you should just sweat. What's the difference?
Yeah, infrared is so important because it is the part of the sunlight spectrum that is the healing part of the spectrum. So infrared constitutes about, let's call it, 55% of the sun's natural rays. So essentially, we're bringing the sunlight inside. It's so nobody will question is there a value to. To sunlight. Right. Like, it's extremely important for us. For plants, for us, for animals, for every living thing to survive, you need sunlight. And the healing part of that is the infrared spectrum.
So, okay, so that's why it's so natural, because you're like, it's basically taking the best parts of the sun. Is that correct?
It's exactly right. So I use the analogy of, you know, you're. You're outside and it's cloudy, and all of a sudden the sun peaks out and says hello, and it becomes bright out. And your body literally, like, you see that sun and you feel the sun and you feel that infrared wavelength, and instantly you're like, oh, man, that's so good to see the sun and feel the sun. It feels so good. That's infrared. That feeling of, oh, wow, it feels so great. That is infrared, and we need it to survive. So what, what's really interesting and magical about the wavelength it is, has three different parts. One is called far, the second is called mid, and the third is called near. Each part of this spectrum from the sun again has separate healing properties that impact the body at very different ways, which we can talk about or not. And that's what makes, like, when we talk about healing and detoxification, like my brother's story, you know, the far infrared, for example, that wavelength specifically is excellent at being absorbed deeply into the body at the cellular level, changing the structure of the water molecules, increasing your core temperature. And then when you sweat, because your core temperatures increase that quality of sweat and is different, that quality of sweat is bringing out that mercury that's trapped. Interesting. Get that from traditional, you know, sweating, like just going for a ride. That's. It's not. It's not the same because you're not sweating at that depth at the cellular level. Does that make sense?
So I think it does. So we're basically attacking at the cellular level, and then we're. Is our body then releasing it through the sweat is. That's how it's leaving our bodies. Is that okay?
Correct. It's from sweat. So what's important is, like, there's been studies done showing the comparison of removing toxic chemicals and from blood, urine, and sweat. And sweat was the most powerful of the three. So people, for example, that did not have any mercury in their blood had mercury in their sweat. So it just shows you. Right? It just shows you. Like a lot of people are going and getting tests, you know, of different types of heavy metals and everything on. In their blood. You may not have any in your blood, but if you're still fatigued and you still don't feel great and they're, you know, you may have other things that are trapped. You know, and you can get them out through sweat.
Interesting. Okay, so infrared, when you see the like. So for instance, my red light, I have like a red light also here and it says infrared red light. How is that different than being in the sauna and getting it up to a certain temperature?
Yep. So red light is going to draw like this spectrum. So you could kind of picture the spectrum of light that's coming from the sun. The far is over here. So there's far, mid near, which near is invisible. So in our saunas we have one behind me there, we have these LEDs that have invisible LEDs that are in the near infrared part of the spectrum. Extremely powerful. I mean so, so, so, so powerful for so many different things which we can talk about. The very next wavelength over is red. And so if you think about when you're looking at the sun and you're looking at a rainbow in the sky, the farthest color in the rainbow is red. Right next to red, which you're looking in the sky is invisible light, which is near. So near, which is the invisible part is right next to red. And the difference is red is inclusive is part of the spectrum. It's part of that infrared spectrum. So it's one part of a very.
It's not long necessarily, but as one part of the entire infrared spectrum it has its separate. Remember I said at the beginning, what's so magical about this, this thing called infrared? The spectrum of light called infrared is, is each part of the spectrum has healing properties. They just impact the body at different ways based on their depth of penetration either to the skin or to your core or to your tissues. So it's, it's depending on which part of the spectrum it's going to affect your body at a different level. And essentially to go to the quick guide far you know is going to go, it's going to be absorbed at the deepest level. Mid, not as deep joint tissues, near superficial red, a little bit shorter. Okay. Shortest one out of all of them.
This is why you have different settings like it says, like for pain, for detox. Like you have different settings on that is that.
Yes, yes. So for example, this is easy for people to understand. So we have an anti aging program. Love this program.
How it feels. The experience of the anti aging program is not as hot as the cardio program, for example. The reason is you do not need mid infrared on the skin when you are regenerating the surface of the skin, which is what near infrared is great on or when you're detoxifying the body. And purifying the body, which is what far infrared is good for, mid is a little bit hotter. And ideally when you are transforming the skin either from the inside out, right through purification, or from the outside getting, helping to accelerate cell turnover. So on the superficial part of the skin, that's really the best way to have the skin look good. First detoxifying, purifying, then let's change how it looks on the outside. Middle has really not a lot of value. So let's take it out. So that's the value of the programs is not giving you a part of the wavelength that you don't need. We're just giving you the quantity and quality at the right intervals so that you can maximize your time in the sauna. Nobody wants to sit in there for two or three hours, right? So we, I mean, I don't, I mean I'm like, okay, let's go, let's go, let's go.
How long do you sit in there for?
Well, the programs all are scientifically based and they range between 30 and 45 minutes.
Okay, so you want to do at least 30 to 45, but depending on what you're doing now, if you do like the more, let's say you're doing detox so it's more intense. Do you still get the benefits for skin and anti aging and all of that or do you have to do a whole different, both settings, different times?
No, you're still getting like on detox, the crossover there is the purification part. So back before we introduced, I mean we started this a long time ago and really our focus when we started it was the foundational part of the infrared spectrum, which is far infrared. That's really the found, the foundation that provides. If you could only do one part of the infrared spectrum, that's really the, that's the one I do because it increases your core temperature, it detoxifies the body, it's been proven to lower blood pressure. There's 20 years of studies on making the heart healthy. Everything from congestive heart failure to helping to save lives to coronary artery disease to increasing blood flow, increasing circulation. You know, brain health. There's just such a long, long list for far and then, and then each other wavelength has tremendous benefits as well because again, it impacts the body in a different way. But far is really, far is really the foundation. So to answer your question. So like if you want skin benefits, we all, we have a saying here. It's enlightened, purify the body and the skin will follow. Okay, so when you're purifying the body so when you're detoxing your skin's gonna look really good.
That's amazing.
Now are you getting that superficial LED light? No, because if you're not using the, the near infrared and, or the red, then you're not getting that, you know, that wavelength is. You're just not.
But like for, for me or someone else listening, that's as cuckoo as me that has all the things like could you, you could do that like the detox and that and sit in front of my red light later to get.
Or, or what I would do, I would just do that. We also have a button for a custom which I would just turn everything on and have and have all because in our, in our impulse we also have red light. So.
Okay, so you can turn everything on at one time and then you're just. Got it. Oh, amazing.
Okay, so now I have. You use, use everything at the same time and max it all out and you're covering.
That's amazing. Okay, so then my. So the reason, the only reason you really wouldn't do everything, it sounds to me is for more comfort because it's not going to get as hot or it's.
Is that like, it's more if you have a very specific. I'm sure there's people that are listening, for example, that you know, are really like, oh my gosh, if I could just really lose, you know, 15 more pounds or you know, if they have a very specific, you know, or heavy metal toxicity or, or you know, like I just had breakfast with somebody who was going home tonight to use her pain relief program because she feels severe, severely inflamed. So if you have something like that that's really specific that's going on in your body, the programs are the best because they're science based and got it triggered. So that's. But if you're somebody that you're like yourself, where you're like, okay, I want, I just, I want all the things, I want all the things. I want my skin to look amazing like, you know, like I just went to a spa and I just, you know, got a fac. Then put all of them on and stay in there for as long as, as you know, you have time for. It's better while we're on this topic, it's better to do some than wait for the moment when you have to, when you only have 30 or 40 minutes. Okay. If you're still getting benefits, even if you're only in there for 10 minutes.
Is there any Pro or con to like doing it in the morning or doing at night or doing it after workout, like when is the best time to do it?
Yeah, I get that question a lot. And the answer is it's really based on your own schedule and what's going on in your own life and you.
Will figure when your current blow dry schedule happened.
Yeah, I mean it's based on like. Yeah, when, when you can sweat. Right, Exactly. When, when works best for you. I, my personal is I love it in the morning and I love it to be the last thing that I do before I start my day because I find. So if I'm, I like to exercise and I like to either do strength training or I'll do cardio or I'll go for a run or I'll do tonal, like I'll do something like that and then, and then I'll end with, with sauna with my sunlight. And because I'm already active and I've had this cardiovascular, you know, activity, my heart rate's up. I want to keep it elevated, you know, inside my sunlight. I want to keep my core temperature up. In fact, I want to boost it up even more to help my immune system and make myself stronger. And, and then when I'm in there, what I find every single time is the mental clarity that comes is from being inside my sauna. It gives me that, that energy boost that I need to go, you know, have a successful day. So it's like the perfect thing to do before I go and I have this really important meeting or I go before I need to write this or whatever is on, you know, my, my day. I feel the most confident, prepared after I'm in my sunlight. So I never start with that and other things I want, I want that to be the last thing I do before I get dressed.
Got it. So, and I'm assuming you, you do other things in there. Like you could listen to a podcast in there, you could read in there, you could do. So it's not like you can't bring, can you? I mean, I would imagine you probably can't bring a cell phone in there because of the, how hot it gets, but you can probably.
I mean, I, I, I take mine in periodically because something will come into my head. You want to write it down, right? I want to capture, yeah. So I don't want to lose that, that, that fleeting, that, that moment. I also also a tip for people who are listening that I highly recommend is to leave some like a pad of paper and a pen in there. As well. Because a lot of times, like I just recently did a 10 minute talk and I needed to, you know, to prepare that and how was the flow going to be? And so when I'm in there, because of the oxygen increase, you know, that's going into the brain, the blood flow, the oxygen, your brain just starts to function more clearly. And that, that fog and what they call those zombie cells, they can start to like, you know, die off and get out of your head. And so like I want, if I'm in there, I want to be able to write, take advantage of that moment, right? Like, I don't want to get in the shower and be like, okay, now what was that? You know, because once you change environments, you know, then it, sometimes it changes the, the flow.
I have two questions I want to ask you. I don't want to, I don't want to get the. Forget the first one I'm about to say, but I'm going to ask you the second one first. But the first one I'm going to come back to is I want to know about how many days and how many, like, is there any too many days? Can you do it? What's the, like, how many days to get a benefit? Before I come back to that question, I wanted to ask about when you should not be using a sauna, for example, before explant. For me, I was told, and I don't know if this is true or not, that if you actually have silicone implants, you should not go in an infrared sauna one. Is that true? And then when I learned I had the rupture, I was definitely told, you don't want to go into it with the rupture, you want to wait till it's out. So what do you know? Do you know anything about that? And is that true? Is that not true?
The line on that that Sunlighten takes is, you know, we're not doctors, right? So I mean, we know the way infrared works and the way that it, you know, is absorbed into the body. And, and, but our answer to that would be to, you know, to, to consult with your practitioner, whoever you're working with, and follow their guidance because they're going to be the one that's going to follow you all the way through.
Okay? So my doctors just, and you know, everyone has their own thing. What I was told was if they're intact, it's probably not an issue, but once they're leaking or ruptured that, you don't want to do that. You want to wait till it's out. So that would bring me to, I guess my question about like amalgams and if you still have amalgams in, could you still do this? It sounds like you still could because it's just going to help the detox pathway. Is that accurate?
Correct? Yeah, yeah. If I, yeah, I don't have any. But if anybody that has mercury fillings, I, man, I think I was the first thing I would do if you get sauna because there's. It was highly unlikely. It depending on the length of time that they've been in somebody's mouth for some to not have, you know, and it may not be making any difference in how you, you know, feel, but there's probably not something that should be in our body. Yeah, yeah. Like Ryan Sutter has a story about how like he, he had mold toxicity and everything and he was perfectly fine for so long.
That's literally me, I was living in black mold. I have a, had a rupture and then I have mercury and I'm like, I feel fine, but, but who knows what I'll feel like when everything's cleared out of my body, you know, like so sometimes we, we just get used to things and we don't how good we could actually feel.
Right. Right. I feel like that every single time. If I have like a stuffed up nose or, you know, I mean any time that I have that little bit of off, it just reminds me actually I go into my sauna and I just go into like a very deep gratitude place of, you know, how thankful I am of that I am extremely healthy and that my family is really healthy and, and to really appreciate those days when everything is going crazy and everything. But we're healthy.
Yeah.
I mean there really isn't anything that's more important. You forget how great you feel when you're healthy because you're doing so many other things. But the moment that something is off, you're like, oh man.
For sure, for sure. So, okay, talk to me about times like not the amount of time when you're in there, but like can you. Is this something you need to do seven days a week? Do you get a benefit from three days? Like what, what's your routine and what do you recommend?
Ideally, I recommend doing it at least three times a week. But again, and I always say that with caution because when people get stuck, I find that people get stuck on, okay, if I can't do it three times, then I'm not gonna do it for some reason. I don't know why, but I mean I have, you know, a network of just amazing women. And like, that's a common, common feedback is I didn't get to do it this week because I couldn't. And I don't. Even if you, Even if you just do it once.
Yeah.
Like, we are so. As women, we are so tough on ourselves.
All or nothing. Like, yeah, right.
We're so, like, our bar is just so high all the time and we need to. That's great. But we need to be a little bit more gentle and loving on ourselves. And if you only have. If you have a little gap in your day and you haven't done it, that go. Mine's downstairs. I always say go. You know, just on my head, I'm like, just go downstairs, get in, turn it on, and enjoy those 10, 15 minutes. And it will help me figure out because of the way it works on my brain and the benefits, it'll help me figure out how to get this back into my schedule another time. So good. You know, but ideally three times a week. But you can just to answer your specific question, as far as how often can you. You can use it every day. The caution. It's not really caution. The advice, the tip, because. Is to make sure that you're efficient, you're adequately hydrating, and then you're also monitoring your electrolytes.
Okay.
It's really powerful. So, you know, not only is it going to help, I mean, just if you just think about it for a second. Wow. It's powerful enough to remove something as heavy and as toxic as mercury and cadmium and arsenic and lead. Yeah.
Like, that has to. That just literally registered in my brain when you said that. Like, I don't think I've ever thought about that before until you said that. I'm like, wait a minute, this is. That's crazy. Like that amount of power, right?
It's very, very, very powerful. I mean, and I always remind people, remember that, that this is a power powerful tool. So just make sure, you know, you're monitoring your sodium intake, your electrolytes, your magnesium, your calcium, you know, all the important things.
Okay. That important, your body don't get dehydrated and you don't feel. You don't make yourself feel worse. You want to feel great after, right?
So there's a lot of benefits.
I just kind of want to rattle through them for people that are listening. And so. And I just. And then we'll kind of go into some of them. So the things that got my attention, obviously for me, it's detoxification. That's what I, that's why I wanted to do it. But I know that pain relief is a big one. Immunity, stress reduction, heart health. And then you said weight loss. I didn't even know that. Can you touch a little bit on those different things? Because I, I mean, we all want all of that. So how talk to us about those things.
It's so true. And this is like the complete, like a longevity body hack behind me, you know, is it's a whole system body hack and that can do all those things. And it sounds crazy, and I'm aware that it sounds crazy that it can do that many things.
Not a miracle pill. It's a miracle box.
Yeah, it's, it's, yeah, it's, it is a miracle box. And so weight loss, specifically, let's touch on that. There have been studies, Dr. Beaver did a study on waist circumference and showing that in a sunlight and sauna it can help you lose, you know, lose inches around the waist. So we know that for sure. We also know for sure that when your body is increasing the core temperature, it's fighting to cool itself down. That fighting is energy that is turned into caloric, to calorie burning. So you're burning calories while you're in there.
Kind of like the opposite of the cold plunge.
Like that.
When you go in the cold plunge and your body fights to heat your core back up, it's doing the same thing is that it's like the same idea.
It's hormesis, which is so another benefit of hormesis in addition to, to, to weight loss is I love, I love this visual that I have in my head when I'm inside my sauna is when you're. Hormesis is essentially just shocking the body. So it's exactly what you said of, of if you go into something cold, it's like, you know, this cold like that's shocked the body makes your body stronger. So another, another way I know that anybody who's listening can, can relate to this is if you lift weights or, or you don't even have to lift the weights. If you start to do stretching, if you do anything where you're, you're changing the body in a different way, your body is going to hurt. Yeah. You know, if you start to doing squats for the first time, you start to like lift weights and you're, your body's gonna be sore, but that soreness, you know, is turning into a stronger body, a stronger, stronger muscles, stronger legs, etc. So that's what infrared is doing inside your body on your immune system is it's making your mitochondria. Like, I always picture my mitochondria, like, when I go in there, they're getting their armor on, and they're just like.
Flu viruses. Bring it on. I'm ready to fight this. And I mean, there's so many studies that support how much healthier and how much stronger your immune system is after using infrared sauna sessions. So immune system is huge. You know, weight loss is. Is. Is huge. As far as the caloric burning. Okay. That definitely you need the far, you know, or. And. Or the mid. Like, you need to be able to heat up. Because the difference between the far and the mid and then going over to the invisible and the red part of the infrared spectrum is there's no heat. Right. Associated with the near or the red. It's working. It's getting into the skin. So a lot of the benefits come from that penetration of that valuable light energy. But the actual heat, which comes from far and mid is what is making your immune system stronger. And it's changing your mitochondria. It's changing your water molecules.
I mean, this is like completely next. I mean, there's just not. I mean, you see the education on this because you're around it. I feel like most people in my community don't really. I. This is all so new to me. Like, I had no idea the difference between just like a regular sauna and this. Like, if you would have asked me months ago, I'd be like, oh, it's just because you're sweating. Like, I didn't understand all this. This is like, this is crazy. How much stuff also about this. And I'm so curious about the skin because I'm. Lately I've been more into microneedling and having collagen. But how is this help your skin? That's.
Yeah, yeah. So on collagen. And we literally all answer that question. But when you said that, I was like, we. We could do a whole podcast on just far infrared. Right. Like, there's so much, you know, or we could do on. On near. Near.
So much information.
So much information. So I, you know, I'm doing my best to simplify and make it easy, but I'm happy post podcast to answer any questions if you get, you know, a lot of people asking things just to shoot them over to me. Okay. And I'm. I. I want people to be informed. Yeah.
We may have to do a part two, depending on what the questions that are coming in here.
Happy.
Yeah. This is now. Now I think people are understanding why I wanted you this episode. I'm like, anytime I have these questions, I know other people have these questions because. Because what happens? Just being real, Connie. Especially because the word biohacking is, like, the trendy word. I feel like there's two. It's like there's two groups. There's like, the extreme biohackers that talk so over so many of our heads that we. It's like we don't even understand. We don't even try to understand. And then there's the too crazy over oversimplification. And, like, I thought, like, just. Oh, you're just sweating. So it's. There's just this needed middle ground so we can bridge that gap. That's what I think.
Yes. I love that. I love the way you just framed that. Because this middle ground is what I'm really passionate about. Because it's not. It's a little bit more, you know, just then, like, oh, okay, just do it.
Yeah.
I want people to understand. Well, because I was skeptical. I mean, when I saw, you know, my brother, and I remember going over to his apartment and getting into his sauna, and I was like, in there, and I'm like, okay, I don't feel anything.
How does this work?
Yeah, I don't get it.
I'm just getting sweaty.
Yeah. So, I mean, it took me doing all this research, you know, on all the different studies, and then doing a study as well. And anyway, so back to your question. You had a question about skin. You're talking about microneedling and different. So there's so the skin depth, as far as the glow from the inside out, the purification that comes from the farm for red. We talked about that. As far as detoxification, I mean, it's really like, literally back before we knew anything about near and. And red, when I used to go downstairs and we have a day spa here that's on property at Sunlight, and I would sit on the bench, and I would watch people come out of our saunas, and they had the most beautiful, healthy, radiant glow. And I'm just like, okay. Reminds me of, you know, Meg Ryan. I'm like, I want what she's having. Like, I want to do that. Like, it just looks so natural and so youthful. So that's. That's the benefit of the skin. From far, near and red. Let's talk about that for a second. They. Those that light energy penetrates beneath the surface of the skin, and essentially what both of them are Doing is accelerating cell turnover. So when we're young, you know, like my boys, like, if they get a wound or they get something, it. Their skin just rapidly replenishes. Right. I'm like, okay, don't worry, That'll be gone in two days. Yeah, it's no big deal. You know, as we age, it takes longer.
Yeah, that doesn't happen anymore. Yes.
Right. So what we're doing is we're turning back the clock with a near infrared and the red light. Now let's talk about for a second with the difference between near and red for a second. And then let's talk about the benefit of the two together. So the difference is really easy. Like, people make it way more complicated. The difference between near, which is invisible, and red, which is visible, is in the depth of penetration into the skin. The near goes the deepest, which is why we launched, when we launched our impulse, whatever, 10, 15 years ago, we launched it with near because it goes the deepest into the skin. Red doesn't go as deep, but it still has, you know, transformative skin property properties such as increasing collagen, increasing elastin. Same with the near. So that when you combine the two together, you get a exponential benefit, which is why we introduce red into the sauna. So now you get all four. But there's a magical, synergistic part of near and red together, especially when it connects to the skin. There's also some studies on brain health as well, which we don't need to go into today. Just a little bit too complicated. But there is also the two together helps the cognitive function of the brain as well.
So I'm not going to lie. I have a lot of. I have a lot of the gadgets at my house. Like, I have a cold plunge. I have right now, I have an oxygen chamber chamber in my house. The hyperbaric. I have the red light. Like, I have a lot of the things. But like, listening to you, I feel like if you're going to choose the one thing, think this does all the things that you. That those other things do. Right. Like, this is like the combination of why I have those other things.
Right. So I think it's body complete longevity hack. Yeah.
And it's actually a lot more comfortable than just getting in cold water or getting.
Yeah. And here's the other thing, like you can't do in cold water is you can do other things. Yeah, you can read there.
Yeah, right.
You can do. I've been really, really, really into breath work lately, and Which I love.
That's Great.
And like, I can do that and get the benefits of the healing energy and the light energy while I'm in there, which is awesome.
That's amazing.
You can do stretching. You're stretching inside the sauna.
Well, in yours you can. In mine, I got the one person one. So I don't know how much I'll be stretching in there.
But you can do neck stretches. Okay. You can go through the whole, you know, and then you could do, you know, you could do some movement. Like, I know the one you have is not as, it's not as big.
But speaking of which, y', all, the reason I got. Because I'm gonna, we're gonna put a link and we're gonna share also how you can get a discount on these. If you want the reason I will obviously, I think you can tell the reason I chose Sunlight. And I mean, Connie's just so knowledgeable and I love everything about what, what you teach and why you created this company. And like anyone I know that loves their sauna has, your brand has a Sunlight and like, they speak volumes about it. But just so you know, depending on your space of your house, like, you can get different sizes, but there's a very inexpensive one and that's the one I got. It's I1. And the reason I liked that is it's more, it's not portable. Like you can't lift it yourself, but it's, you can move it into different rooms, you can put it outside, you can put it in different places and it fits one person. But you have some that are up to three people. Right? Is that.
Yeah. And we have the empower, which you literally could fit. Five. Oh, five. Wow.
You can have a sauna party.
You can have a sauna party. Literally have a sauna party.
That's amazing. So I did the one and I, I, I'm. I just love that because you can sit in there and it's just you could. I like that you can put it anywhere and it's not going to take up a big amount. So this is awesome. So I'm going to put a link below where you can find it. But for those of you listening, Sunlight and. Com. Is that where they could go?
Sunlight and sunlightcom.

Anything I'm missing, Connie, that you want to make sure they know?
Two quick things. Really quick. We have a product called the Sunlight and Solo.
Okay.
So that is a great, that is a portable unit. Oh. So just, you know, if you're interested in that, ask, ask somebody about the Sunlight and Solo. It's also the least expensive out of.
The inside in that. Or is that like something you lay.
Down, you lie down in it. Okay.
Oh, it's like a bag. Like, like one of those bags.
It's a telescopic dome. So it's really. We, you know, I could talk about this for another, another show. So I'll stop there because I, I get, when I go there, I, I can't, I can't stop talking about the Solo and all the benefits, but just the Solo is the name of it. Sunlight and Solo. So if somebody wants something that's portable, lightweight, can't find a space for a box, Solo is perfect. And then the discount is up to $600. The key for everybody listening. This is really important. If you don't remember anything else, remember Share. Share your code. Share. Natalie Jill. Okay, that's like, that's what you need to, you need to share that proactively.
