481: Stop Settling for 'Good Enough': The Vision Method for Making Midlife Your Launchpad, Not Your Limitation with Pinnacle Global Network Founder and My BFF Allison Maslan
5 Dec 2025 · 59 min
Allison Maslan shares how a daily vision practice transformed her life and business. She manifested a San Diego house and a villa in Zihuatanejo through specific routines: gratitude lists, 'as-if' intentions, music-driven visualization, and tracking small wins. Her Scale It Method combines strategic vision with cash flow, team alignment, and leadership to help entrepreneurs build seven- to nine-figure businesses.

I always say make decisions from where you're going, not from where you're at. Because if you're looking at what is right in front of you, you often see closed doors. I don't have enough. It's not working for me. So you almost have to ignore that.
Before we get started on today's Midlife conversation, I want to share one of my favorite sponsors because this is a product I've been wearing for years. If you've ever seen me on social media wearing that gold colored necklace that I've been asked about many times and wondered what it was, I'm going to tell you, right? If you're like me, you've probably noticed that your body might have become more sensitive as we've aged. Stress hits harder, sleep feels lighter, and all that time on devices like our cell phones, it adds up. So what I'm wearing and what I love is called a Heal360 capsule from Leela Quantum Tech. Now, this is a simple, beautiful tool that I happen to wear around my neck. It's refined with advanced quantum energy technology and it's designed to basically help support your health from the inside out. Now, the capsule itself, it's charged with Leela's most comprehensive healing frequency and it encourages deep alignment in our balance, making it ideal for anyone navigating stress recovery or health transitions. And the capsule, it contains these little purple balls. They're actually quantum charged titanium spears. They work with our body's own energy field and it helps you restore balance, boost vitality. And really important here, it helps to harmonize the effects of EMFs. And I know you've heard about EMFs and what they can do to our bodies. So those invisible stressors we're exposed to every day from phones, wi fi, electronics, it helps harmonize them. It's not just a theory. Leela q has over 48 placebo controlled studies, including one showing a 20 to 29% increased ATP production, which means your cells actually make more energy when you are wearing this. So if you're looking for a natural support to feel better, recover faster, protect your energy, this is it. Get a necklace we will match and you can get 10% off your first order with code. How much does vision drive our results in life? And is that just pseudo science or woo woo? Or can having clarity of vision actually help us with all of our goals, whether that's our health, our personal or even our business goals? I have the perfect person to come on and have this midlife conversation with me today because she's one of my best friends. I've had her before. It's Allison Maslin and she is the founder and CEO of a globally recognize business coaching brand. It's called Pinnacle Global Network. It's phenomenal. She has built this, built this in a latter part of life. We'll just say I told her I was going to bring up her age, although she always says you must say early 60s. Yes, she's in her early 60s, but I didn't want her on specifically about business advice. Although we are going to ask a little bit there. I wanted her on about how she has created this epic life, reinvented herself many times, but, but really created and scaled her life primarily in her 50s leading into her 60s, which is, which is quite impressive. And how she actually leads other business founders, CEOs owners into creating massive scaling results in their business, but also in their personal lives. So thanks for being here, Allison. We always have these chats on our own and I thought it is so perfect to have this live for the podcasts.
I know this is going to be so fun just taking our everyday conversations and making them live.
I can't wait to do this. I can't wait to do this. Okay, so, so much to ask, but let's just start. For people that don't know you, they haven't actually they haven't had you gotten to know you the way that I know you. We have all these millions of talks. Can you give just a little bit of background? We don't have to go through the whole life story, but just where this even came from. Like this whole idea of working from vision and leading from that.
Well, I've been an entrepreneur since I was 19, so I've built 10 companies over the last 40 years and I grew up in an entrepreneurial family. My, my father I guess that's really where it started because he was a real visionary and he did kind of crazy things, took big risks, and I, as a little girl would kind of follow him from store to store that he had women's clothing stores, and I just loved that passion that he had. And so I think that business acumen sort of infused into me that I've carried throughout the years and for me personally, unless I've been aligned with it, Natalie, I can't sell it unless I fully believe in it and see a future for it, see that I can make an impact in people's lives. I just could never put my energy behind it.
You learned a lot of different business skills early on, but I've even noticed a shift as my friend and how you created this incredible growth. Not just, not just business wise, but watching you manifest basically your two of your dream houses, like right now, and you'll likely have a third soon, manifest like the most perfect relationship with your spouse, just living in the right environments, growing your business beyond expectations. And every time I've ever asked you, like, what shifted what you do or how'd you create that? You always come back to your method around you. Call it like vision. Craft. Crafting? Is that what you call it?
Yes.
Where did that even come from? And do you think you were doing that subconsciously before you even knew what that process was?
Well, I've come to realize in recent years that everything comes down to vision and holding that big, beautiful picture in your mind of what your ideal scenario would be. And that pertains to any single area of your life. And I've honestly been doing this since the 80s, but I didn't know it was a thing and I didn't have a method behind it. And I would do the visualization and I would journal, like when I was on vacation or when I had more of an open day. I was a single mom for 12 years, so there were not a lot of open days during those years. And I would notice that when I would hold the vision, even if I was in a place of fear or things were going not so hot in my life, even going through my divorce many years ago, that those things that I would visualize would start to manifest. I would start to see evidence of them. So over the years, I started really experimenting with different processes through journaling, through visualization, through gratitude, and. And I started to put a system together. But what I really noticed, Natalie, is when I started doing this consistently every single day and making that commitment, it made all of the things that I was envisioning start to happen at a rapid speed.
I have so many things to ask you. Like from by the way, you all she does trapeze. And yes, she's in her 60s. She has trapeze. She learned that. Not as a young kid, believe it or not, but she learned that. I have so many questions about like, that and business and just why even the business you're in now. But I want to back up a minute and I want to ask you about a few really relatable stories because I want to have people connect how this really could work in their lives. So I want to talk and she. Allison doesn't know what I'm asking her, by the way. Right now. We've had so many conversations. I'm having some random things that I want to ask about. You have told me some stories, but I want like a little bit more detail on them. So. Okay, I want to talk about the house you're in right now, the one you're recording from. And you had a whole story behind how you were living in a different house. I think you were living in a condo or a townhouse or someplace in San Diego. And you wanted, you had a vision for like the house you wanted. And you had told me that a lot of things were kind of working against you and how you just kept holding onto this and it happened. Can you kind of like walk us through that? Because I want people to actually hear, like, what happened? Like, how did you get that house? How did that work?
Yeah, so my daughter and I, when I was, you know, single mom, we, I, I purchased a small house in Cardiff and we had. And then I met my husband and then he moved in and we lived there for 10 years. And it was a nice house. It was about 1300 square feet, something like that. And I.
My, our bedroom had no windows, like literally no windows at all. And in my businesses, you know, you're always creating, no matter what industry that you're in, you've got to be coming up with ideas. So I'd spend a lot of time in my bedroom with my journal and just ideating and innovating, but I just felt like, ugh, I'm in these four walls. And so I just, over the years kept holding this vision of being in a home that had windows all around, that would feel very expansive, that I would have room to put my full size circuit circus official trapeze in the backyard. And so then over the years, you know, the business was building and growing and so forth, and then it came time that we decided we were going to sell, attempt to sell our house and move into a bigger space. And again, I was, I kept holding that vision. And so what happened was we had to sell our house to be able to get to this, get this next house. And it kept falling out of escrow. And we found in the process of it, our realtor found this house that we're in right now. And when we, my husband and I drove up, before we even got into the house, we looked at each other just because the land all around and how we felt our shoulders drop and just we knew that this was the place. And of course, I'm looking around to find where I can put the flying trapeze. This was even before I got into the house. So we get into the house, we totally fall in love with it. We connected very much with the owners. But our house, literally, we couldn't sell our current house. It fell out of escrow again. And the sellers of this house said, you know, we really can't hold onto it any longer. We have other buyers that want it. And my husband even said, well, honey, maybe this house just isn't meant to be. And I looked at him and I said, no, this is it. And so we're literally looking at, what do we need to sell to get into this house? Do we need to sell paintings? We're, like, adding things up. And we were both pretty stressed, but I was holding the vision. And while he was writing this vision, this ladybug literally flew into our house onto his hand. And we just went, oh, my God, that's a sign, right? How many times does a ladybug literally fly into your. We just knew that we were on the right path. Anyway, our realtor called and said, you have to find a buyer this weekend or it's gone. And so I just, that whole weekend, I kept holding the vision of that house, feeling what it was like going to be like living in this house, getting to a place that I knew it was going to happen. And we got a buyer that weekend and, and it happened. So that's, you know.
Yeah, no, I, I, I love that story. And when you, like when people hear vision or like they're working on, you know, thinking or holding the vision, I think a lot of people don't fully get what that means. And I, I, I want to, I'm gonna have you break it down a little bit more right now with that, because when you're saying I'm holding the vision, you just said something I picked up on. You're, you Said I'm feeling what it would feel like to have it and I'm assuming it's mine. So you're not, you're not just going a checklist of how, how the question was not how you went into this place of knowing. Can you elaborate a little bit on that?
Yeah, I, I kind of have to pull apart because there's a lot of little pieces to that. So there's a difference between hoping and a goal. Like, I don't like to use those words because what that means is that you're not quite sure it's going to happen and there's a gap between you and this thing. So once you can make that shift to I know it's going to happen.
It'S almost beyond faith. Like it is an absolute reality. That's when you start to see things shift in your life. And we don't attract what we want, we attract who we become and who we are. You know that feeling when you walk in a room, maybe you've had that experience where just, you just feel good, you feel good about yourself, it's been a good hair day. And you just see things, you know, people coming to talk to you and you just feel like you're on your game or you see other people that are doing that. And that's what I've really learned is that the more I stepped up in my own leadership as a woman, as a business leader, as a mom.
I started attracting the people, the situations, the opportunities, and in my life. And so when you are, that's the first part of it. When you are holding, let's say there's something that you want to happen in your life, maybe it is that you want to buy a home, or maybe you're wanting to.
You know, take your business to a whole other level or even attract your soulmate, because this is what I did to attract my husband, is that I would literally throughout the day, at different times, not all the time, but I would hold the picture in my mind. A visualization is just a thought with pictures, that's all it is. But then you've got to get into the feeling space of it. What would it feel like to have whatever it is that you want have transpired? You're living it, you're in the middle of it. And, and what the feeling does is it raises up your energy vibration. And I know that all sounds a little woo woo, but honestly, it's just quantum physics. It's like the Internet. You know, how we are connected right now is through energy. And so when you raise your vibration up here, what's going to happen? You attract things from a higher level. What happens when your energy's down here? You attract things from a lower level. That's what like depression means. It means lower pressure. And so it's getting. Holding the vision, holding that picture. And what I would do to attract my husband even I would visualize this amazing man walking towards me, sitting next to me, doing the normal activities that I was doing.
You know, so when some people listen to this, they're gonna. They go, that makes total sense. I think I can rewind that. I've done that. Cause I do believe anyone successful at anything that like, has continued success, they did this. Maybe it was subconscious, but they did this on some level. Like I picture, like we do that around your wedding day or whatever it is.
We've.
We've done that. If you think of something successful for your life, you on some subconscious level did have that vision. And maybe you even had the vision of it not working and then it didn't work. What do you do when very real success circumstances are in the way? And you ha. So like, you gave the example of having no windows in your bedroom. And that's energetically not even something that works with you. What do you do when you're in a circumstance or an environment where it's. You don't. Maybe you don't have the thing. It's not the possibility right now, for whatever reason. How do you hold that vision despite the circumstances?
Yeah, I mean, that's, that's the true test, Natalie. Right. So that's real life. And I have this quote. I always say, make decisions from where you're going, not from where you're at. Because if you're looking at what is right in front of you, you often see closed doors. I don't have enough. It's not working for me. So you almost have to ignore that and look at where you're going and visualize from that place. I had some years back, we were having a really tough year, cash flow wise. The business was growing, but we had invested a lot into the company and it was stressful. And every time I would come on the cash flow meetings, I would hear from my accounting team going, I don't know, Alison, how are we going to make payroll? And, you know, we.
I remember these conversations.
Yeah, I remember we made it. But it was, it was challenging. And the thing that got me through, and honestly that got me beyond that was that when I would be on these meetings, I literally tell my team, I'd say, look, you're not allowed to say these things to me. I'm not going to ignore what's going on. I see it. I see I'm looking at the P and L. We're going to be responsible and do what we need to do. But I'm holding the vision up here. This is where we're going, and.
This is my reality. And I need you all to back that and hold that vision for me. So if you have a team, you know, they need to get behind the vision too. And honestly. And some of them, they would say, okay, you need to come up with $200,000 and, you know, in two weeks or $300,000. And if you looked on paper, you go, well, how the heck are you going to do that? And then it would just happen. Now, we then got beyond that because of more of the vision work that I've done. And I can share some of those secrets as well.
So. And I want to just share from a real time friend perspective. I remember. So your. Your business was super successful on paper. Like, everything was growing. It's amazing. Like, you're helping people, but you had this internal cash flow thing, which is not uncommon in businesses. And that's one of the things you actually, I feel like it was a good thing for you to walk through because it makes your company that much even more able to help other business owners. But I watched this Real Time and I watched her have that, like, the thought come in that could stress anyone out. Like, you would have a moment of stress. But then you kept saying, it's all going to be okay. Like you were. You were very much able to shift out of. I was just on this meeting, and that feels stressful. And I would hear you go, well, I'd be so stressed. And then you would literally shift yourself out of it where you could enjoy your day and focus on being, creating. And you're like, kind of like, I don't want to hear it. Like, I'm pretending it's not happening. And I remember asking you at the time, how do you get on with your day and create when that's lingering? And you said, I do not let myself focus on the problem. That's what you said to me. You said, I know it's going to resolve. I know there's a solution out there and I get to stay focused on creating. And you said that, and I watched that happen. So I want you all listening. It's not that she didn't have a moment of stress or a moment of doubt or a Moment of like, oh, crap, like you're still link thinking. It's just. It wasn't controlling your brain and your. Your mind. Now I'm imagining that took you kind of years to master. That's really hard for people. Like, do you remember a time where you would get like more stuck on that? And what was that training to get yourself out of that?
Yeah. I mean, look, at a certain point in life, at a certain age, we've all had stresses. You know, I've been through a divorce. I've raised a very rebellious teenager. I mean, I've been through all the thing. A lot of stressful things in my life. And I think that you gain a sense of resilience. But what I've learned to do, Natalie, is compartmentalize. And so what I do is I visualize. Okay, whatever is going on. So let's say whoever is listening to this is having a stressful financial situation. I just kind of put it in a, like a garbage bag and it's like. Or a drawer in my mind and it's sitting over here. I'm not ignoring it because I need to do the steps to take care of it. But if I put my energy there, what it's going to do is create. That's just going to grow. I would rather take that energy and put it towards here, on the vision and creativity, on coming up with ideas. And what happens is that when you hold your energy up here, you start attracting the people, the opportunities, the solutions, the ideas, the connections, the actions to solve this. Wow. Right.
Can you. I want to just on that and then I'll get off the house thing in a minute. You have literally two dream houses. I mean, not just your one in San Diego, but you have one in Mexico too. And I. Can you tell a story a little bit behind that? Because by the way, she has this incredible resort that people like can even rent out for, you know, resort for retreats and things like that. But they were looking for like a little condo. But can you talk about how that. Because that's a total vision story of how that happened. And that's something that if someone had told you that that that would happen, you would have never believed it. But can you share a little bit about that? Because that really does tie into vision. I'm interrupting this episode for just a moment because I want to shout out one of my show sponsors, the Fresh Pressed Olive Oil Club. And you can find them@getfreshnataliejill.com now you're going to want to listen to this because here's the deal. We all love olive oil. And the problem with supermarket olive oils is with olive oil, the four most important words to remember is the fresher the better. And that's because olive oil, olive is actually a fruit and olive oil is actually a fruit juice. Did you know that like other fruit juices, olive oil is at its peak of flavor and nutritional potency when it's fresh pressed. But supermarket olive oil sits on the shelf for months, even years, growing stale, dull, flavorless, and eventually it turns rancid. So the solution is fresh pressed art artisanal olive oils shipped directly to you from each new harvest. And you can receive this literally right at home. The world's most delicious artisanal olive oils, direct from gold medal winning small farms right at harvest time when the oil's flavor and nutrients are at their absolute peak. This is the super cool idea behind the fresh pressed Olive oil club. It's the brainchild of T.J. robinson, aka the Olive Oil hunter, as he calls himself, which is very fitting. And as a midlife conversation listener, they are offering a super cool special, an introduction to his club. TJ is willing to send our audience members that means you a retail size $39 bottle of one of the world's finest artisanal olive oils fresh from the new harvest for just $1. Just $1. Like you help him cover the shipping and you get it for free. Best of all, with TJ's club, there's never a commitment to buy anything now or ever. And you can cancel your membership anytime. So you can try a bottle for just $1 and taste the difference yourself. You get this@get freshnataliejill.com now, there are so many health benefits of olive oil, y'. All. I pour it on everything. It's so good. And olive oil is also high in monounsaturated, does not oxidize in the body, and it's low in polyunsaturated fats, the kind that does so. It's a cornerstone of the Mediterranean diet, proven to be among the healthiest in the world. It has zero carbs, so it's ideal for low carb ketogenic paleo. Yeah, it's funny, every time we go back and we live there now, five, five months of the year, and my husband and I walk up the steps and we look at this place and go, oh, my gosh, this. I mean, we truly manifested this in our lives.
And I've manifested being invited there like 15 times.
I'm always like, wow, I know we.
Need to go again soon. So, first of all, it's in Zihuataneo, Mexico, and my husband and I got engaged there 20 years ago on the beach. And so we fell in love with this area in Mexico. And we visited often. And during the pandemic, we were going quite often. And I always felt when I was there that I was like, it was my happy place. Like, I really felt in alignment. And I said to Mike, my husband, you know, maybe we should get a place here. And so we started thinking about it, we started looking around with realtors. And then I said, you know, then I was like, what are we doing? This is crazy. Buying a house in another place.
And you were looking for small houses initially, like little condos and stuff. Like, you weren't even looking for a big resort.
Yeah. But I have to say this one thing, because I had this moment. I was driving in my car in San Diego and the thought popped in my head was, well, if not now, when? Like, what are you waiting for? Like till you're 70 or 80, like, what are you waiting for? And so we did. We got a realtor and we were looking at different houses, condos, things like that. Just the two of us going and, you know, maybe my daughter, a couple people, nothing major. And every place we went, we just weren't feeling it. And we knew this kind of area that we wanted to be in, overlooking the bay. And it's a small area, so there's not a lot of space there. And then we at the hotel we were staying at, that we stay at many times, they said, hey, have you seen our, you know, the seven bedroom villa that the property owns? And I looked at my husband and I go, oh, My God, we're in big trouble. So we go and we fall in love with this place. And then my husband, who's kind of a math whiz, said, you know, if we rented the rooms out at this much, you know, we could actually turn this into a profit center. And so then we started getting excited. Well, we made an offer, and we didn't get this place, but it changed our whole thinking of what. What we were going to do there is to get more of a, you know, bigger rental property. And so we looked around, we fell in love with this one place, but they said, no, sorry, it's not for.
The developer owns this whole area, and they will only sell, you know, all the land, which was many, many, many acres, you know, lots of different divisions. And so we just said. So I started journaling. I'm not kidding. I did the same thing I did with this house. Holding the vision, seeing ourselves there. And then we got a call that he could not believe it, that they. That the.
Wow.
You know, developer was willing to sell us this one, this plot. And so then we had to kind of keep it a little bit secret in the area, because if people had gotten wind, you know, and then, you know, it happened, and it happened within about six weeks, and then. Yeah.
So, but that's so interesting how, like, just thinking about how that went down, it's not a logical thought process. It's more just like a feeling thought process. That's how I can describe it. Watching you. It's not like. Like, if you had. We're just talking, and we're like, we're gonna have a second house. It would have not been a logical conversation. Oh, we're gonna buy this big villa. Like, it just wouldn't have even come up. So it was.
It was. Even the other things started falling in place. You know, we refinanced our. This house, and we were able to take the equity out, but the interest rates went up two weeks after. Yeah, we. We did that, like all the moving parts. So I think the thing is, is that when you want something in your life or you want something in your business or for your health, oftentimes our head tells us all the reasons why it won't happen. And if you live like that, you will live a smaller life. You will live a limited life. But I believe we are born here, Natalie, to live fully every single day. And we live in a universe that's endless. We know that billions of stars are made at, like, every given moment. And there's all these planets. So why should there ever be limits on what we can create. And I think that most people think too small. And so if you allow yourself to imagine beyond the crevices of your mind, and this is what I love doing, is helping CEOs and my team and I do, to help business owners think way bigger than they ever have. And so if they come in saying, oh, I want a $5 million business and now no, we're like, no, back to the drawing board. That's too small, that's too small. Because look at how many people they could help if it was bigger. And then it starts to happen.
And so, so your business like, so Allison's business, Pinnacle Global Network, by the way they work with, they work with seven, eight and nine figure entrepreneurs on scaling. Now some of you listening might be like, well, why only seven, eight and nine figure entrepreneurs? And, and I have that, that question when I initially met her too. But I've started to as I've gotten to know Allison and the vision of and the culture of her company, what she's so committed to, this belief about vision kind of changing the world and to her. And I want you to explain this better because I'm sure I'm, I'm probably botching it. But how I see it as your friend, is when you know, when you can find the right leaders that are really impacting the world and you can help them expand their vision, it basically expands everybody. Like so it lifts up everyone, it makes everything better. Can you, did I say that right? That's just like my observation. But like, is that why you can.
Yeah, I mean I love startup business owners. I've started up 10 times myself. What I just know is that there is a lot of support out there for startup business owners too. You know, a lot. But there gets to a point where we call it sort of the forgotten entrepreneur. Once you sort of hit that million dollar mark and many of them will just stay stuck there for decades and you think, oh, I get there and I'm all good but you know, once you take out expenses and everything, there's not a lot left. So we knew if we could really help these people, have a scalable model, build a team that is aligned behind the vision and all the steps in between marketing, sales and all that, then, then I could, in this lifetime, the ripple effect of that and the amount of help with their employees and communities, we could really make a difference.
So I'm going to ask you specific questions in a minute about just kind of that mindset of that seven or eight figure entrepreneur but before I do that, I want to kind of take it down to somebody listening that's. That's not even in their world right now. Like, they're like, I'm not even. I'm a startup, or I'm not in business at all or whatever it is. But in my mind, we can learn a lot from that mindset to any. For anyone right now. So I want to. Before I get you kind of to there. To anybody listening that maybe feels like, I don't know, they're stuck in any area of their life, whether that's their health or their relationship or their living environment. That's a big one, whatever it is. If you were to, like, kind of bird's eye view with everything you've learned and walk through being as successful as you are and working with such successful people, what do you know to be true about vision that you want everyone to start applying to change their current situation?
Yeah, I just. I want you all to know that I literally started with nothing. You know, I. I was a single mom. I had no help. I've had no investors. I didn't get help from my parents. I didn't. You know, there's just. So whatever your circumstance is it. You can start from where you're at and know that it may seem like, you know, the challenges are unending, but if you just start changing the picture in your mind and start getting into a feeling space of what that would look like and journal about it, and also look at what are you grateful for right now that is happening. You're breathing. You got up this morning, and there's so many things. You've got food, whatever it is, get into a place of gratitude, because that's a fastest way to shift your energy. It's the fastest way to get into a space of love and compassion and empathy. And you start doing that regularly, even if it's five minutes, you do it five minutes a day. And if you can't do it in the morning, do it in the afternoon. Find a quiet space and give that to yourself. And you'll start to notice, first of all, Natalie, that you just started feeling happier.
Oh, yeah, for sure. And I think we initially connected over vision because my original story, for those of you who don't know, was back when I had my rock bottom years ago and I created what I call a decision board. It's a vision board, but I call it a decision board. And I used to look at it and say, if I was the girl living in that board, what would I be listening to? What would I be eating? How would I be moving? What would I be thinking? So it's that same idea. And any. Even when you live in that area, we can obviously still get stuck. And I know when I first moved to Arizona from San Diego, I. Even though it was my idea, I had this instant regret. And I had a big, like, a year and a half of, oh, I hate it here. I hate it here. And I would tell Allison that every day. And I remember asking her, well, she was. She was definitely committed to the possible. What's the possibility of you moving back? And all of that? Which is great, but what I did.
I just wanted her to move back to San Diego.
But I asked her. I don't know if you remember. I think we were in Mexico. And I said, okay, if you were me, Allison, and you could not move back, and you're like, well, I could. And I'm like, okay, but if I could. If you literally could not, like, it's not happening. Like, Mike's.
Your.
Your husband's like, you're not moving back. You are stuck there. Like, you have to be there. You cannot move back. And you hate it there. What would you do? Do you remember me asking that? Okay, do you remember?
I don't remember what I said. You tell me what I said.
Well, so what you first said was, I wouldn't be in that situation. I create the possibility. I said, okay, but you can't. I took that away. I was like, you absolutely can't. And then you. You thought about it, and you said, okay, I would find things I love about it. That's. You literally said that piece about gratitude. You said, I would find. And you asked me, you said, what do you love? And I'm like, nothing. You're like, no, what do you. And I'm like, well, I like new friends I've met. I've liked this. I like that my husband's happy. You made you. She made me list out the gratitude. So you did that. Then you said, I would make sure to find places that I could go that would give me that feeling. Like you said. You said I'd find a place that you could do a sound bath or that had an indoo. You said, Japanese garden. Like, you literally told me these things. So. And. But I had to get you to think of that different possibility. But it was really eye opening for me because it kind of proved that literally, whatever situation, it. You started back with that gratitude. And you have to find that first, because if you just say, I don't want this, you're stuck on. I just want this. So I just wanted to point out, you literally did that exact thing with me.
And I can walk you through the steps really quick.
That'd be awesome. Yeah.
Okay. So this is what I do every single day. And I also, my team does this and we do this to get everybody aligned with their own personal vision and the vision of the company. So I have a journal and I will either sit in my bed when I wake up or I will go outside. But right when you wake up sometimes, you know, when you're in that fuzzy place in the middle of sleep and awake, that's the best time to do it before you're overpowered with, oh my gosh, this is what happened yesterday. That was awful. Or this is what I'm facing for the day. And so the first thing is I turn on something inspiring that immediately that my brain is going to lock into. It could be.
Something on YouTube, like from Wayne Dyer or Joe Dispenza or Esther Hicks or just.
Or a sermon if somebody finds out.
Like whatever, just something, whatever you connect with that's uplifting, anything. And I'll listen to that for a few minutes and then I will pull out my journal and I will write down what I'm grateful for. That is reality. My bulldog Gigi, that's sitting in front of me, licking my face.
The sun, or there's flowers outside, you know, that I'm, you know, feeling healthy. I'll write that. Then I write down what I'm grateful for. As if. And what does that mean? Is I'm so grateful that our company is now in 30 countries around the world. And it feels so exciting to be traveling to all these ports of call and, and making a difference in all of these business owners lives. Like I will, I will write down all of the things that.
So it's like an exaggeration of what you have. It's the act, as if it's the, it's the future version. That's what you're saying, Future version. Okay.
It's the future version of what I'm creating. But I, I add this feeling, Natalie, the feeling of gratitude. I just, I just wrote what is really happening. I carried that feeling. So the feeling is kind of what ignites the energy around it. Then once I do that, then I start writing my intentions. This is an intention. I love that word because that means it's going to happen. I'm fully committed that I am making this a reality. And I write that down for every single area of my life. Now if I just have a small window. It could be a sentence. If I have more time, then it will be a little bit longer. And even though I've written it many, many times, always new things comes up, and it ignites a feeling inside of me. And then what I do is I turn on some music, and I have a whole vision, crafting playlist of just. Just upbeat, happy songs. You know, like, it's a beautiful morning, or I can see clearly now the rain is gone. I'm not a singer anyway, so I close my eyes and I start to. Now I'm already in a feeling space because I've written all this down. I've gotten to my gratitude, and I just feel my energy rising up, and then.
This just happens for me. It might be different for you, but any of those sort of negative or limiting thoughts, I see them as a curtain, and they go like this, and they're out here. They're on the periphery. And then I just feel sunshine. I just feel sunshine coming down. And there's this real connection. And what I realized over the years in doing this is that we have the power to create our own happiness in any given moment, any situation.
I mean, I think of Nelson Mandela in prison for 20 years. Like, he was able to create a movement. Yeah.
So that's just so incredibly powerful. And I try to hold that moment as long as I can. Sometimes it's a minute, sometimes it's 10, 15 minutes. I try to go as long as the songs are going, and I just visualize whatever that is, But I see myself in the middle of it, Natalie. Not like the vision is far away. Like, I'm literally in it and it's happening, and I get so excited. There's so much exhilaration around it that, like, sometimes I have to get up and dance. I'm kind of weird that way, but I just. It gets me excited about the day and whatever was bothering me. Like, if there's something happened, you know, within the company or someone annoyed me, I just shift. And I have compassion.
As your friend on the other side of it, I want to share this perspective, too, because. Well, first of all, I've witnessed you, like, dial in this routine over the last two years. Like, you. You had your things, but it's like, in the last two years, I think you really started, like, this is the routine. And I watched, like, a huge shift in a lot of things with your life because of that, mainly with your business, like, just watching that, like, the right people leaving and the wrong people leaving, the right people coming in, like, attracting more of the right clients. Just like all of that. I watched that literally happen from this practice. But I also wanted to share that because you're literally human like everybody else, and it's not perfect. And what I noticed that you do that a lot of people don't do with their morning routines. A lot of people will tell you, like, their morning routine or. And they. They're. They have all these strict rules, like no cell phone or Allison doesn't do that. Like, you're very much. Like, if I feel like checking a text, I check a text, but I still do my thing. So it's not that she's making herself give up other habits that maybe aren't the best supportive, like, she's human like all of us. She'll still scroll social media, so she'll still check text even though she doesn't want to necessarily. She'll. And like, the other day she told me I was all thrown off because I was ready to do all my vision stuff, and the. The Internet guy got there and was, like, in the backyard and, like, it, like, threw you off.
But yes. I mean, life. There's life. You have to. You have to carve it out. You have to be disciplined, you know.
Because what I noticed you do is if you can't do that, you still do it. You just find a different time or you shorten it, but you. You've been committed to doing it. Like, you always do it.
Well, you know, I'm not a morning person, Natalie.
Yeah.
Right. So part of this, too, like, I'm a late night person, and Natalie is an early morning person. Yeah. So for me, it also, because I. I'm just kind of wired that way. It's just my whole family. It's in our DNA. I don't just pop out of bed in the morning. So this also has been a way for me to just give back to myself and fill my tank in the morning. And so I just. I. I cannot tell you the difference. And here's the other thing. And we get this from our clients because our clients also do this work. We help them strategically with all the different things in business. But when they plug in this piece, it's like, it's the amplifier. And I was reading, one of our clients just sent a note and said, I'm not the same person. Since doing this practice, things just don't bother me. That used to derail me. I have more resilience. I. I don't get stressed out. My relationship is better, you know, because you just show Up.
Talk to us about that for a minute. Like so, okay. Talk about your, the actual business side of things because you have a whole method where you have. She helps, for those of you who don't know, like she helps businesses primarily seven, eight, nine figure businesses. So they're already big businesses really scale. And she's got a whole method and a system like how to scale that's not necessarily vision related. It's like actual tactical things. But where does this part tie in? Because like what do you. What when you. If I had asked you 10 years ago what makes a business not scale, I think you would have had a little bit of a different answer than you do today. So I'm curious, like, where does this part tie in versus those other tactical things?
Well, I think I've always believed mindset is, is a big part of it and a lot of this is mindset work. But it's like mindset work plus the energetic piece. And really what we've done is there's the strategic piece and our method is called the scale it method and it covers strategic vision, cash flow, alliance of the team, leadership and execution. And that will help you scale. Like it will multiply your growth. But then when you add the, this energy piece that I'm talking about, it just takes it to a whole other level. It makes you as a leader, a much happier, resilient business leader. And so, you know, it really is up, up to the client. And as you know, I'm not doing the mentoring anymore. I develop the content and so forth. We have a whole team of amazing mentors who've all built very successful companies that, that work with our clients. But I'll just tell you the stories just come in daily. You know, I never thought I would take my business to this level. You know, multiple eight figures. We had one, one of our clients, David, who has a martial arts company in Northern California and he opened a second location and it didn't work out. And then when he came to us and we helped him with all the things that I'm sharing with you and he's on his way to open 1,000 locations of franchising his it wasn't even in his world at all. And so the vision piece for me, Natalie, I would say it's fun. I mean, what's more fun than creating these worlds in your mind? And then once you can see it.
There'S a quote and I forget who says it is. Once you hold it in your, your head, you can hold it in your hands.
Wow.
And so I do Believe for whatever you all are dreaming of, it's absolutely out there. We just need to be able to draw that in.
Yeah. When you look at businesses right now, and it was a little bit of a different question off topic of vision. But I'm curious since we just kind of went there. When you look at why a business does stay stuck, like I know you say I'll see your ads and it's like stuck at seven figures. And some people listening might be like, well I would love to be stuck at seven figures. That's awesome. And I totally can respect that too. But there are people listening that they're like, they've never heard that. Like what does that mean, stuck at seven figures? Like what do you think is going on? Because you've been doing this for so long, Is that a vision problem? Is that a strategic, like what is that?
Well, I think it's all the things combined. And when we say stuck at seven figures, for those of you that have a business would probably understand a little bit more. But you know, just because you hit a million dollars, first of all, most business owners are working 60, 80 hours a week.
Yeah.
It's non stop.
It doesn't mean you're profitable if you're making that.
No, no. And so then when you pay all of your employees and expenses, many of them don't have anything left. Literally there is nothing left. So they're making less than if they went and had a job. And so it's, you know, seven figure revenue, not seven figure profit. And, but, and so they're stuck and they're miserable and they're seeing life is passing them by. And why did I do this? I got into it because I wanted more freedom. And now the business is running into the ground. And so first we really look at strategically and a lot of times they don't, you know, there's a lot of cash flow leaks, there's a lot of redundancy things they're spending on that they shouldn't be spending on. So we kind of, we find money for them first of all, just to assess how they're spending or how they're paying people and so forth. But then we look at, you know, when you, when you're stuck at that level for so long, you start feeling down, you start feeling hopeless, you kind of feel like, well, this is the way that I have to do it. And we just know that's not true. We help to get them into, we start with a hope and then we shift it to intention and we help them to see A much brighter picture for their business. They start to get excited and then we help them see a new way to show up in their business. How to lead better, how to. And when you hold that vision, Natalie, you start to attract act. It's wild. What happens. I told you what happened. I was on the treadmill on Monday and I was looking for someone for a certain position. I'm literally walking on a treadmill and the woman next to me, I didn't say anything. We were just talking about what she does. And then she goes, I have the perfect person for you. And I was just laughing to myself because this is what starts to happen. But when you're in that stuck place, you don't. You're not seeing it well, because I.
Think, because most people get. We get stuck on what's not working. We stay stuck on the problem versus like just the. And. Or the. And you get stuck on a solution which is also can be a limiting thought because it's like, well, if you only know these specific solutions and those aren't going to work, that's what keeps everybody in that box and stuck. So what you're saying is when you can just kind of get outside of that and think of what you actually want, not how, but what you want, what that feels like, you get clear on that that's what's going to drive that change.
Yes. And I'll tell you, the other thing is unconsciously we are saying things like using the words struggle or hard or stressful or chaotic. I mean, just write it down and track how many times these, these.
Challenging words come up. Because if you are saying those words, that's also the energy that you're putting out there. And I get it. I have those moments too. It's called being human. But when you can just start changing the language, then you will start to see a different outcome. If someone were to muscle test you of you saying, you know, I'm, I feel like a failure, like, immediately every cell in your body just slows down. Like, physically there is an impact in your body. But when you say, I'm successful, I'm feeling great. Even if you're making it up and it's, you know, immediately your, your body takes a hit. It's like the best vitamin hit that you can give yourself.
How do you stay committed to that process, like every day? Because like, that's. I think people will start off with a good intention. Like, okay, I hear you. I want to try this. Like, do you have to? Like, how have you created an environment so that Just happens. And what happens if there's a day that you can't. Like, what do you do? How do you manage that? Talk in your mind about forgetting?
Yeah, it's kind of just like when you do something that feels good, you want to do more of it. It. Yeah. And, you know, if you.
Gave up eating Big Mac burgers at McDonald's and used that, you're like, oh, I feel so much better. And then you forget and you go, have another one, and you're like, oh, God, I feel so sick. Why did I do this? It's more. You just start gravitating towards what feels good. And it doesn't mean that you're not going to miss a day or things. You know, that's just life. It's not about being hard on yourself. It's just. Just, you know that when you are consistent in whatever it is you're doing, exercising, it's. It is a lifelong thing. But it's so fun and exciting to see that you could be the creative, deliberate creator in your life. You can be a deliberate creator in every aspect of your life. So why wouldn't you take that moment for yourself and put your energy towards that and then just see the magic?
I will say that I know you are super committed and do this every day now, but I will say a couple years ago, when you were really kind of falling into this routine, I remember I would talk to you sometimes, and you would. You'd be having something that's not working right or it's not going well, and then you would say, you know what? I realized I wasn't doing my thing. Yeah.
So you.
It took you a little while. Like, you would. You would almost get off track and realize it, and then that now you actually. It's stuck. And it's super consistent, 100%.
And I've done it over the years, like I said, but it was. What I realized is it's like anything, you know, the more you do it, then you're going to create a momentum. And I think energetically, I mean, I'm not a physicist, but when you are putting the attention towards something, I mean, they've proven that when you focus on protons, they move. And so the more you are doing this, it's like that flywheel that you start to create, and then you start to see more and more. I call it glimpses. So another thing I write down in my process are the glimpses. And I think this is important to note. So all the little evidence of things that are happening, sometimes we Feel like, well, it's not here yet and I've been doing this for so long and why isn't happening? Well, the joy in life is not always just getting the thing because you're going to get the thing and then you're going to want something else. Because that's what we do as human beings. We're evolving and growing and we're expanding and that's natural and normal. The joy is in the unfolding of it. And that's the exciting piece is to see the little pieces of evidence, the people that you meet coming into your life and, and just embracing all of that.
So good. Okay, see you all if you are. Because, because no, she's not a manifestation coach or a vision coach. But if you do have a business that is scaling and growing, this is not for startups, but if you are a seven figure earner or close to that or eight beyond and you are wanting to scale from a vision led global company because obviously you're hearing Allison, she is the founder and she's that she leads with vision and all of her mentors, which are not coaches by the way. So I want to kind of just explain the difference there. We've all heard of coaches and there's a million business coaches out there. But in my experience business coaches learn a method and they're just coaching that method. What's different about Pinnacle Global Network is that she doesn't have coaches, she has mentors. These are people that actually scale businesses. Sometimes many businesses, they've actually scaled them. Some of them have sold them, some of them are still running their businesses. But that's who she has mentor members that come into Pinnacle Global Network. So it's not just like the process and the support and the mentorship. It's a community and it's access to a lot of these teachings to like really to really scale. So. And I've had, I've had an opportunity many times to come to speak within your groups and just it's just a fabulous community. If I, I can't recommend enough. If like that's what you want instead of a business coach, I would highly recommend looking at this and I'm just, I'm going to link it in the show notes for those of you that are interested. But I'm also going to redirect if you go to MidLifeConversations.com scale. So MidLifeConversations.com Scale. Can you explain what it is that you offer when they do that consult? What, what happens there?
Yeah. And let me just say One thing is that, I mean, we help clients scale. That's what we focus on. So whether it's acquisitions or, you know, multiple locations or expanding your team globally, like real strategy on all of these things. It's just the vision piece makes it go faster and more fun. But when you.
Go to that link, if that's something that you want to explore, you will get on a scale session with one of our CEO strategists. And this is such a powerful experience because what they'll do is open up the hood of your business and really see what's going on, what are the gaps that are holding you back, that are keeping you stuck. And they will literally help you solve that on the call. They will also give you clear direction on what it's going to take for you to reach your vision. And then they'll answer any questions that you have about becoming a member of Pinnacle Global Network. They'll see if it's a right fit or not. But the experience alone is extremely valuable.
That's amazing. Well, thanks Allison for having the this is not like the normal kind of talk that she usually does on podcast. She's usually giving specific, exact business advice. But I was like, I want to, to bring her on to talk about just vision in general because I think she's a pretty cool person and just everything that you've created. So thank you for being here. I will link all that up in the show notes for any of you interested or if you, if you, if you want to explore that more. I'll also link up where you can find Allison on social media if you want to learn more from her there and I'll link up her her various books. Thank you so much, Allison. Thank you.
Thanks Natalie.
