In this informal family travel vlog, the hosts narrate a day exploring Lagos and Alvor in Portugal. They begin by encountering crabs on a beach, then visit the historic Forte da Ponta da Bandeira, noting its 16th‑century military architecture and the presence of braille reliefs that make the site accessible to blind visitors. The vlog highlights the charm of Lagos’ Old Town, local graffiti, and a brief stop at a bar for food. The family then transitions to travel‑day logistics: packing, securing a car seat, and moving to a rental condo in Alvor. A detailed house tour showcases kid‑friendly amenities, multiple bedrooms, balconies, and thoughtful touches like a pack‑and‑play, toiletries, and toys. Throughout, the hosts intersperse playful banter, observations about Portuguese culture, and reflections on the challenges of traveling with three children. The overall tone is casual, enthusiastic, and family‑focused, providing viewers with a snapshot of the sights, accessibility features, and practical considerations of a multi‑generational trip to Portugal.

Are you going to go down?
I might go on the next one. There's a lot of crabs.
There's a bunch of crabs down there.
They might bite me. Oh my gosh.
Oh, they want you. The crabbies want you.
I want to touch the water, but they like crack the Every step. His vote directly impacted the slave trade. Babe, stop it!
I like your song.
Prince Henry found the School of Navigation. Slave trade in Africa. Gutenberg's printing press. Some guy came out of Africa. Not letting you in.
I think, I think you have spears and want to raid their castle.
Forte da Ponta da Bandeira Forte. So it is a fort, one of the most advanced fortresses in the Algarve because of its quadrangular plan and super low and thick walls. So it was a really good, um, example of military architecture. All right, I was really looking forward to seeing inside. I'm so bummed.
So this is a 16th century doorway. They just don't make them like they used to anymore. They have these little braille pieces and these reliefs, so even though you can't touch the art, obviously, as somebody who's blind, you can actually kind of feel it, a relief of it, and then they have the braille, of course, that tells about it. Isn't that cool? So a blind person can understand what they're looking at and then read about it right here. And they can read and then they can feel it, what you're not supposed to touch that's on the wall behind us. Isn't that cool? All right, change of pace, or sorry, change of plans.
The best burger supposedly in the world is closed, and we knew it wasn't the best in the world, but still.
Anyway, so yeah, we're not doing that, but we are doing— we did stop at a little bar, pub, restaurant, so got to do some food, get some food in us before we go back. But Old Town in Lagos is really cool. Anyway, we're going to head back to our town. Alvor is pretty cool too, so that's where we're headed.
Well, the family's headed to the beach. It's our last day in Alvor, so they wanted to take advantage of that. I'm actually going to stay here at the condo and get some work done. Okay, I'm mostly done packing. A couple last minute things— makeup, uh, what I'm gonna wear tomorrow— but we should be all ready to go. It's travel day! So, so thankful we have an elevator. Let's go!
Spacious elevators.
Let's go! When we're not traveling in an airplane, we get a little more loosey-goosey with our packing. Oh, bam! Oh my goodness. Okay, where is this car? Okay. Thank you. Uh, well, we just need a car seat for one kid. The other two don't need one. You ready? You need to rest because, uh, have to be back in Albuquerque. Oh. Oh goodness, let's go! Kai, go! Here, Kai, Kai! A little bit of a mad scramble at the end, but we— as always. There's— I've like packed everything I possibly could think of last night, and then this morning there's so many more things. Plugs, wires, cords, pajamas, random shoes we forgot about. Hope we got it all. You got her. I'm going to be so strong by the end of this.
Oh yeah. So one thing that's really fun about Portugal is that the graffiti here is like a sport. Like this wall. Ah, love it.
Okay, we just got here. This road is adorable. All these tiny little Juliet balconies. Big Kai, big strong man. Yeah, I can't bring up—
just stay there. Okay, let go. Go, get out of the way. Go forward. Everything move.
Go inside the house. It's panic when we get into a new place. Okay, house tour. Just walked in. I haven't even explored it. It's so cute. Oh, look at the little balcony. Everly is overly tired, so she keeps screaming at everybody. Little desk. We have back here— oh yeah, washing machine, bathroom, shower. So cute. Oh, I love this. Do what you love every day. Let's go upstairs and explore. Okay, it looks like Asher found the toys. Yeah, this is a super kid-friendly house except for the stairs. Yeah, the stairs. What did you find down there? Oh, a big, big lizard. Whoa! Can you show me the bedroom? Oh, this is the kids' bedroom. This is so cute, and a pack and play for Everly. Yeah. Oh, they even gave you lotion and soap and book and whole bunch of toys. Wow. And then beds for the boys. Oh sweet, there's even a little trundle. Cute. Okay, okay. Oh, our bedroom. Amazing. And our own bathroom. Yes! Okay, this is such a fun house. I saw pictures of it and I really wasn't sure what it was going to look like. I thought it didn't have very many windows, um, but it's super light and bright in here and plenty of windows. So now to unpack and get all settled in. Cute one, honey. Okay, crazy silly one.
Make yourself throw up on it. You just want to get in the way, don't you?
