Alex Hormozi argues that most people fail because they're delusional about reality. High school seniors think they'll be millionaires by 25, people overestimate their looks and driving ability. The richest people see reality clearly, which lets them bounce back from failure instead of spiraling into anxiety.
I think from a belief perspective, people think that it will be easier than it is. And if you have a fundamental belief that you will fail in order to succeed and that it will be hard, and that is why most people don't do it. Like if you actually believe that, then what happens is expectations match reality and then you don't have anxiety about your quote failure because it's not a failure because it's meeting reality. And so it's just that I think most people are just delusional. Like 52% of senior, of high school seniors in a survey said that they think they're going to be millionaires by 25. They're delusional. That's all.
Yeah. Like 80% of people think they're better looking than average type of thing.
Yeah. And 70% think they're better drivers. Like, you know, like, yes, all of those things. People are delusional and those delusions, which is why those distortions of reality affect how they see things. Like the people that, at least in my viewpoint of the world, the richest people in the world simply see reality more clearly with fewer distortions. And so like the reason somebody who's a billionaire can lose it all and then get the billion back is because they see things differently than everyone else. And people think that these billionaires are, quote, eccentric.
